SPORTS...no arguments there....

Go Patriots! LOL

Oh, JLipps, you can't taint Mikey's good luck thread!

I consider this my "Lucky Thread", as since this game, the Giants have been on a Super Streak that has taken them all the way to Super Bowl XLVI, so I will post on this thread one last day to hopefully help guide Eli & company into another upset over the mighty NE Pats of Tom Brady.

Good Luck Big Blue!

Relax Ms. K! Ya'll don't understand, so I'll explain. I am bad mojo for football teams. Whoever I root for always loses. Its why I don't watch football! LOL

NO NO NO!!! I have no team and no investment! I am strictly a Texas fan, either Dallas, or Houston. If they are not playing, I really don't give a hoot who wins. I was jsut trying to help Mikey, as I explained, lol. It could still happen!

Yeah!!!!!!! Less than a minute, and the Giants just came back.:cheerleader3:

Mario Manningham was on fire!!!!!:cheerleader3:

This is the great part of being a fan, when you root for a team year in and year out, win or lose, it is a terrific feeling to have your team win it all. :thumbup1:

And thanks to my forumite friends who've supported me through my team's journey, even though they are not even football fans. :smiley-love001:

Next year is here, and it starts in fifteen minutes. The Super Bowl champion NY Giants host The Dallas Cowboys on Opening Night for the 2012-2013 NFL season.

With my Yankees playing as miserably as they are, football couldn't come soon enough. :crying1:

Go Big Blue!

Okay Mikeyank,
I don't want to rub in it, so I'll just say, SUCK IT! Something I think we both agree on...

Indeed, the Giants "sucked" and not in a good way, but keep in mind that championships are not won in September, but during the cold months of November, December and January. It is a long season, but last night was not the kind of start that Giant fans wanted.

To be continued......................................

Oh no! Could this season get ugly?????

The Mikeyank/Tampa24 baseball rivalry is so kind and friendly..........

I love American Football, as did my late dad. He used to follow the Kansas City Chiefs and I remember him telling me about a guy nicknamed the fridge lol. When I visited Vegas a few years ago, we couldn't afford to stay in a casino so we stayed in a Super 88 motel on Koval, which is the next block to the strip behind Bally's. I've never had such a great time and before we went out we used to gather in the restaurant bar, watch some football, have a couple of buds which were free if you were playing the poker machine.

The Yanks could not believe we were staying at a truck stop for 2 weeks, but we made lots of friends. Best holiday of my life so far.

The NFL has played some games in London, and perhaps this year too, as they are trying to expand their brand into Europe.

The Fridge was William "Refrigerator" Perry who played for Mike Ditka's Chicago Bears teams. I guess that there are some British fans of American Football, like your dad was Jon. But I can't for the life of me figure out why an English chap would choose to root for the Kansas City Chiefs. :001_unsure:

I also loved your experience in Vegas hanging out with the Yanks, drinking beer and watching football. I bet the whole crowd loved your accent Jon, as I'm sure you enjoyed theirs. :001_rolleyes:
