I have been jamming out to my zune as I have been writing this wonderful paper I forgot I had to write . As I was listening I came up with this thread idea.

What is your theme song? and why?:001_cool:

My theme song is Jewel - Stand. It has a catchy light hearted beat but discusses the ugly of the world with what seems to be a smile on her face. I look at life very much like this song.

So yall have mine now what's yours :)

Little Water Song by Ute Lemper is my favorite song of all time. It's written from the point of view of a woman being killed. It's just a gorgeous song. It was written by Nick Cave, my favorite artist. I think it was originally supposed to be included on the Murder Ballads record. Listen to it here:

I think my theme song would be I Like it Rough by Lady Gaga. Self-explanatory!

Of all the most iconic singers, this is my favorite theme song

Not Liza Minelli, not Celine Deone, not Elton John, not even Joan Baez, it is the one and only Bette Midler performing...

She got her start in show business singing in gay bathouses long before AIDS had even been heard of.

Closer to Fine, Indigo Girls

The first time I heard this song I was a junior in college, and it became my personal anthem. I have many wonderful memories to go with this song, of friends who will always be a part of me, including the best romance of my life, and is one I continue to listen to with all the windows in the car rolled down, the sunroof open and the music turned up as loudly as I can bear it, which is pretty damn loud. Other songs come and go, but this one remains my favorite....

Yeah, well, I didn't see that video until today, and it was the only one I could find... I did not love them for the way they look... and my hair has never looked like that!!! LOL!

I am just teasing ya :p I actually had heard that song before. I pulled up the video and just started to giggle. :D

Oh, I love it! It's such a great song... what's not to like??? Great video, too;)

I couldn't chose between my two favorites. They are both Alanis Morissette songs and they both say life is what it is, and you learn as you go.

When she sings "its a long way down, this roller coster" I get goose pimples and also "when its full speed baby, in the wrong direction"

The sensation of goosepimples are only second to ejaculation...

I first heard this song many decades ago, and it struck a cord in me. It has remained my all time favorite song and my passion in life. I worked in health care and had the opportunity to treat many ancient eyes and so this song has stayed with me. One of my greatest pleasures in life has been to spot those ancient eyes and try to do something that will bring a smile or reaction from those very eyes. I hope that if you listen to it, you will at least enjoy it. It is by Bette Midler...... Hello in There

Jlipps4u--I just heard your youtube post and all through it I was recognizing sippets throughout the song. For your entertainment, I would like to provide the following link

A different artist with a slightly different interpretation but, hopefully, you will feel with an equally good.
