Sean & Santos 11/8 update

The silver lining is this forum. It’s great to read all your opinions. Could we agree on: one rape video does not make David a bad director. In fact I love all of his other video’s; still watching season 2007. Out of the the mouths of babes, (rrhill is a newbie to the site and forum), come words of wisdom.

So David, if you don’t like to take criticism on the chin, you’d better start shooting some of your best video’s ever!
Unfortunately RR, if you read the comments of Mark early on in this thread, David will no longer have the opportunity to "shoot his best video's ever" on this site. He is no longer shooting for Broke Straight Boys, so we can watch his remaining work here, as Mark releases his films, and hope for the best with a new director, and a new direction of this site? (whatever that may be).

MikeYank,

I thought Mark implied in not so many words their would be video's from other directors as well on Broke Straight Boys; there's nothing wrong with competition. But it would be unwise to slaughter the chicken that hatches golden eggs.

If David leaves, I hope he will deliver his content to another site, or his own. I will subscribe to his site, even if he has only one movie online, today!

I just watched the "Lane & Jason" update again, and ONCE AGAIN, I stand by my point, while Jason was being pounded all that time, he did not AT ANY TIME ask to 'stop', or that 'he couldn't take it anymore', or express any discomfort/pain...UNLIKE THIS UPDATE! Therefore NO comparison!

Sgvbob, I've seen updates where the actors in the porn fantasy say stop and they just slow down. I guess that's rape too. I've told my boyfriend to stop, I guess he rapes me too. Oh wait... rape implies nonconsent and everyone I just mentioned gave full consent! I see a flaw in your argument.

Deidra, I am good at making fun of the people who can't get the fantasy. Some people just get wayy too wrapped up in the personal lives of these actors and that makes it worse. Please, let us continue not talking or addressing eachother. Mouths tend to gut us in trouble.

I agree RR, and I would like to think that Mark would include some new content shot by David, in his new incarnation of Broke Straight Boys, but from what's been said, after the current supply of D&E scenes are released, it will be an ALL NEW team directing the scenes.

It's interesting that you, a "newbie" to this site, who is first going through the back episodes in the archives, support David, and his body of work, so ardently.

I personally did not enjoy the "offensive" Santos & Sean scene myself. But there are other scene's that David has directed that I don't like either. It is the "spin" that's bothering me. Does one "objectionable" scene out of his body of work, negate all the pleasure that we have experienced over the year's watching the work of D&E? Isn't David's past work what attracted us all to the site? How can one scene change our perspective so drastically?

This is a hell of a time for you RR, to be joining the site and the forum, but you are certainly a breath of fresh air here, as you bring in your unprejudiced prospective. I hope that you remain an active participant on the forum through this transition period, and beyond..........as together, we will see what the future will bring. :confused1:

As MissDeidra said this update needs to be seen by members so this will help you understand why drastic changes are being made.

Mark

And, these "drastic" changes are exactly the reason I have cancelled my membership.

Once again, the members have let fantasy become their reality. If Sean had wanted the scene to stop, we ALL know David would have stopped it. It is fucking acting, people! Wake up and stop bashing the director and the top.

Actually I don't edit the videos and I don't see every single one before they go online.

You'd better bet your ass and hat that if I owned a site, I would personally view every video that went online BEFORE it went online, because my character, reputation, and integrity are on the line each time a member views one. That excuse, Mark just doesn't wash. This is your site and you are ultimately responsible for everything that is uploaded here, whether David shot it, or anyone else. So, stop hiding behind your feigned ignorance and take responsibility for the content of the site. I mean, the buck does stop with you, doesn't it?

As I said in my last post, this is not the first Broke Straight Boys episode that I did not like, and it will not be the last. That does not have anything to do with the director or producer, it has to do with personal preference. The Daxter/Rabib episode is in the top scenes. I have not watched this episode, and I never will. To me, Rabib looks about 11 years old, and that grosses me out. I KNOW that he is over 18, because they have to show proof of age, before David or anyone else will film them, so my refusal to watch it is a personal preference.

David has filmed hundreds of episodes that we have raved about, critiqued, called boring. I will not hate him, because I don't like a handful of his films. I LOVE Jimmie/Diesal, Carking and Mikeyank do not, but that is okay, I still love them, they are allowed to think differently than I do. My Slimmie LOVES Tyler and Leon, I do not, but that is okay, we don't have to like the same things to be besties.

I am not into "rough sex." By definition, it comes with discomfort or possibly pain. It is a fact that some people like to push the envelope and experience pleasure from pain. I will never understand that, but I don't have too.

The personal attacks that are coming out of this thread, not only on David, but on anyone that tries to defend him, or anyone who says they did not hate this scene, are sad. We teach the children, when they see someone else getting bullied or hurt, they must step in and get help. Sean has been defended, the story has been told. For some the story wasn't good enough, so now we have David being attacked. People stepped in to defend. The back and forth could go on FOREVER, but no one will change anyone else's mind about personal opinion. Sometimes we just have to agree to disagree, not all wars can be won, but unfortunately all wars have casualties.

For those that understand and get it, Thank you!! I know it looked bad, but it wasn't "rape" here is the definition of RAPE:

1. The crime of forcing another person to submit to sex acts, especially sexual intercourse.
2. The act of seizing and carrying off by force; abduction.
3. Abusive or improper treatment; violation: a rape of justice.

None of the above applied to this scene because everything was agreed on and planned out. It was a production. Every one reacts differently to rough sex. In the case of Sean, he yelled and screamed. Every time he wanted to stop, we did stop the camera and asked him if he was alright and he gave us the okay to continue. We went at his pace and some of it was over-reacting on his part.

Believe what you want about this scene but I'm glad that many do understand and I have lots of support from many of the members, but I think its much more and there are some underlying issues that some are making me look like the bad guy and this scene is giving those the open door to throw me under the bus. Its okay. I have no hard feelings and no bad blood towards anyone.

Your reaction to this situation is admirable, David. Call it "throwing under the bus", or "backstabbing", but you have a thick skin to take what's being thrown at you, and still taking the high road. You are a true "Mensch".

Thank you Mikeyank! and for those that don't know what a "mensch" is, its a Yiddish/Jewish word that means: a person of integrity and honor

Ms. Kianna, I have never agreed with you more! My membership expires in about 8 days. I will not renew it. Even though I may monitor the site until then, I can promise everyone this will be my last post. From some of you, I can hear the applause all the way in Ohio.

I am saddened, sickened, and totally pissed off at some of the people on this forum. I am stunned and shocked at those who refuse to or are incapable of comprehending that this is NOT reality. I am disgusted with the ones on here who are stabbing David in the back on his way out the door. Shame on you.

I will get burned at the stake for this, but if it weren't for David, this site would never have gotten off the ground. And, it will be interesting to see where it will go after he moves on to bigger and better things. And, he has been more responsive and accessible than any director on any site. Find another site with a forum and try to contact the director. Good luck. But, David is moving on and I wish him all the luck.

For those of you who just can't get over this scene, you basically have a couple of choices: watch it or don't. I have said this over and over, if you want to run the site, buy it. If you don't own it, your only way to control the content is with your money. if you dislike it that badly, then cancel your membership and quit all the fucking whining. It's what I did.

SGVBOB, David has pointed out that no one got raped in this scene, and no one will ever be raped under his watch. I believe that if Sean himself posted on here and told you that he didn't get raped, it would still not satisfy you.

The point here is, we have all made our point. Some people liked the scene, most did not. Show me another site where you like EVERY scene. It doesn't exist. As I said, I'm saddling up my pony and heading off, never to be heard from again. I will leave you all in the capable hands of lovelumps, slimvintage, mikeyank, and zyl84, who always post with insight, intellegence and aplomb. I leave you under the watchful eye of a moderator whose allegiance apparently goes where the wind blows. I wish you all health and happiness.

You're right David. People are throwing you under the bus and I'm sorry they're doing it. To some people, this is their reality and have gotten way too close to actors that they don't even know.

lovelumps in my throat

Drive carefully mister. I for one will miss you like mad.

Lots of love to you,

edit: I guess I meant "drive the pony carefully", as it never occurred to me you might not be leaving in a motor vehicle...

Your correct and again thank you!!! But I notice its only a chosen few that are throwing me under the bus and that is okay, most are on my side. You may not like the scene, and I understand that and I don't expect everyone to love all the scenes I film for any site, but this is obvious a witch hunt and again, that is okay..I'm not bitter and have no bad blood towards anyone.

Wisely spoken and well recognized. It is pretty bad when people can't enjoy a fantasy, something that has always irked me about some of the members of this site.

Members are well aware that this is a fantasy site, otherwise, 99% of us wouldn't be here. What most people who objected to the update dislike about it, is that it was poorly done and there was ZERO explaination about why Sean was being treated so harshly.

There is no witch hunt at all. It's people voicing their opinions, strongly. Some people believe the back story, some don't and as such, voice their opinions. However, yet again, another thread is full of Drama Queens snapping and snarling at anyone who dares to voice a different opinion to themselves. I guess it's a sad day when you get shat on for being empathetic towards a young man in pain and angry to those you perceive as inflicting it.

As for the crap thrown at Miss Diedra... she is entitled to her own opinions and she is also entitled to voice them, especially in regards to this very provocative scene. Just because she is a forum moderator doesn't mean she can't weigh in on discussions when she feels she needs to. Yet another example of bitchiness that I detest about this forum.

Careful how you throw around your superlatives. I would say 50% of the members are aware of the non-reality of this site. The other 50% are so wrapped up in who and what they think they know and tout on it. This same 50% take the porn as 100% real time action unfolding in front of their eyes, which is not the case. People objected to the "rape" of Sean, when in reality the "rape" could not have occurred because it was scripted. You can't mask his real pain as taking a dick that size, by your own request roughly, would hurt like fuck.

There IS a witch hunt. Members who are displeased with David for other reasons took this opportunity to take a giant shit on him to make themselves the "better" person. That's human nature. Just because you don't perceive the hunt doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I was about to post something saying roughly (oops) the same thing. I believe the following: one of our forumites, Deidra, was made "moderator", or something like that, several months ago by the Blu people. She's tight with them from what I understand her to say, having met and got to know them at some of the tour and pride events. I think she likes that crowd, including the Broke Straight Boys models who make extra money doing appearances, and they, for obvious reasons (she seems nice), like her too. She and Mark, earlier in this thread, stated that this video was proof that changes needed to be made in the site and that far from just taking it down, it should stay where it is as evidence for all to see of the shit David and his team produce.

Mark has unreasonably distanced himself from this update...that his team edited, corrected the color on, and mounted, prior to uploading it on the site...and used the furore that it caused to post the first reason we've heard from Blu for the divorce between Blu and D&E.

It's like saying, "I've kicked David out because this is the kind of crappy, shocking scenes he films." And Deidra loyally agreed with him.

I don't think either one of them actually thought through what they were saying. Jesus, what a thing for management to post on the forum. I'm sure Mark has excellent reasons, that maybe have to do with his personal ambitions for the site, or with his plans going forward for his porn business, that might have to do with personality incompatibilities, that could have to do with contractual issues, that are perfectly publishable on this forum, or in a trade journal, or anywhere else. But the one thing he's said about the reason he's planning to film Broke Straight Boys with another producer just doesn't on the evidence ring true. There have to be better reasons. If Mark, or Chuck, or Sha don't get on here soon, or best of all Stephane who's got the sympathy of virtually every single member who posts on the forum, if, as I say, someone doesn't get on and man up as to why the divorce, we're going to be left with the sorriest little dubious reason for breaking up anyone could, in their most outrageous moment of wild creativity, have invented.

It's not about Deidra's inviolate freedom of speech. It's about the public image of a guy we've come to know and love on the forum, seen in the BTS videos, heard from on Cute Boys Friday. Mark is much better than that catty little jibe, and Deidra is too.
