The Germans have a word for it, Schadefreunde, pleasure in witnessing the discomfort of others. It's a fairly nazi concept and doesn't make you love the Germans more for their perspicacity in naming the phenomenon. I think, as I've been saying for years, that part of the success of this site (a niche, fetish site according to management) resides in the fact that it purveys a product that embodies sex, boys and Schadefreunde all in a slightly corny, downhome package. I like the site for other reasons, but I'm not so dumb as to be blind to what the draw is for a lot of other people.

Well, I promised a friend that I would watch this episode, and I have to be honest, I had to shut it off about 6 times, because I couldn't handle the yelling and grimacing, but mostly I couldn't stand to see everyone else act like it was business as usual.

I agree with every single thing, said on this thread. I believe this was cruel and disgusting. I believe whoever DID edit this and set it up as an update, should explain what the hell they were thinking. I believe Mark needs to explain these coming changes. I believe the program for the rating system on this sight has some significant program errors.

I also agree with Slimmie, that David needs to come on here and tell us the story behind this scene, because as heart wrenching and vomit inducing as this scene was, if it was scripted and planned, it was morally bankrupt if it was not scripted, and was in fact true as shown.

Actually, I do disagree with one thing on this thread. I do not think the members need to see this to understand anything that is going on. I think that anyone that is a sensitive and emotional person, should not watch this episode.

I have always objected to cruelty to newbies and I realize that Sean is not exactly a "newbie" but he nor anyone else should not have to endure this senseless cruelty or trauma. I have consistently objected to cruelty in fucking scenes and never understood a more kind and gradual approach to anal sex. I would like to thing Broke Straight Boys is better than this SHIT. I would like to think Broke Straight Boys would be promoting the ideal that "anal sex should be pleasurable and something you want to enjoy again and again". However, I have been rebuffed by other members as some kind of prude or wimp. I would gladly accept verbal abuse from equally cruel members if this display of cruelty to a fellow human being would only STOP.

This is inhumane and, if it were done to an animal, there would be serious consequences. It sure seems to me that it is a near unanimous verdict. I'll only add to the chorus of the masses and say this was way beyond the norm for Broke Straight Boys and never should have been allowed to proceed with such "glee" during the filming. It's not a good way to start a week with something as bad as this. When this video first began, it held the promise of being a very good shoot, not withstanding the fact that Sean seemed a little disappointed that the choice of watching gay porn was made after he had clearly defined his sexuality. I knew this scene was going to get a big reaction and there is no need for any apologies on both D&E and/or BluMedia (Mark). First off I would like to say that, we are not in the business to abuse our models. The model named Sean that you see in this scene came to us as a bi-curious straight boy that has never done anything with another guy before and he's never filmed porn before. We started him out very slow and during the filming. The week that Sean was filming for us he wanted to push the limits and get fucked really hard. We filmed it and at several points along the way we stopped the camera to make sure he was alright and he asked us to continue. Here at D&E Productions we don't push the models to have certain sex. All we ask them to do is enjoy the sex, we go at there pace and we respect there limitations. If any model feels uncomfortable doing such scenes, we would not film the scene. You also have to understand that most of our models we hire don't have anal sex with guys. Most of our models has had limited sex with guys before and most of them don't do anal. When a guy gets fucked on our site, most likely its there first or second time doing anal. Its going to hurt and I film in the style of "gonzo" which means I don't sugarcoat the scene, what you see is what you get in a realistic style. Some of you are angry at Mark for showing that scene. Please don't blame Mark. He's not the one to blame in this matter. True, Mark has the ultimate decision to decide if the scene should go up or not, but that is Mark's decision. Once we, D&E Productions, hands the reels/content to Mark, his team is responsible for editing and watching the scenes and approving what goes up on the site or not. In many cases, Mark does not view the scenes and watch them. Mark is a real busy guy and has a lot to do so its impossible for him to watch every single scene so please don't be upset or angry with Mark regarding this scene. If you want to be angry with anyone, by angry with us but now you know the truth and the story behind this scene.

While you say Sean wanted 'rough sex', that may be true and from previous videos, I know some models really like it. It certainly puts a new angle on the video itself, however, the editing of it is certainly leaves a lot to be desired.

When you get on a rollercoaster you usually have to wait till the end of the ride to get off. maybe if something like that is going to take place, you should get the consent of the model on the video. i was watching my friends membership of gay creeps and they do that in their scenes where the "straight" roomate is being taken advantage of while "passed out" they show it is all staged. personally, an explanation/back story after the fact can all be a cover up for all we know.

We do get a disclaimer for all models filmed. Its all edited out because. Before we film any scene, we ask the models a series of questions:

What is your full legal name?
What is your date of birth?
What is your age?
What is today's date?

Do you know what your doing today?
Are you being forced in filming this scene today?
Did you sign the release form?
Are you under the influence of drugs are alcohol?

All this is filmed prior to filming the scene, so all models know exactly what they are doing. Also remember we do a photo shoot prior to the scene which is a mock up of what they are going to do. I'm not asking anyone to love the scene, I'm just defending myself from the comments that members are saying.

Everything is subjective and everyone is entitled to there opinion but to use this scene as an excuse for other reasons I had to be upfront and be honest what had went on prior to filming.
