RIP Mike Robbins

Dont believe this jwglass.Broke Straight Boys knows it I am sure.Mark mentioned in his announement they waited until all details of Mike's death were known before posting. In their comments a lot of loyal members inquired about the cause but as in so many instances no reaction from Broke Straight Boys It is sometimes much better not to interprete the rules of privacy too strictly in order to avoid speculations and especially "digging". Mike himself said in one of his posts
that his family, friends and the vicinity where he lived all knew about him doing porn. That means that hundreds of people even know his real identity. What is wrong then in revealing the true circomstances of his death, rather then risking that people start to dig and finally find out things of his life, which are really not meant for the open.So please Mark dont be more catholic than the pope and tell your members how it happened, if you know it.

what would that help anything? its none of our business. they dont owe us anything. and cause of death would probably help anyone track down his obituary which lists his surviving family members names. and to be honest what makes you think that somebody here wouldnt contact them, even just to give them condolences? if theres one thing ive learned from this forum people cant be trusted. there i said it. so maybe we should steer this back to remembering his life instead of dwelling in his life before i suggest this thread be shut down.

wow i should have read TJ and Aquarius' responses before i piped in. you guys said it in a much more kind light than i did. lol

As far as I am concerned jwglass,tj and aquarius, the thread is closed.
I live in a part of the world where media circusses like the ones built around late Dustin Michaels aka Andrew Grande are unthinkable, thanks God.
Really meant no harm with my remarks; Was fan of Mike myself and respect the grieve of his family and friends.
However I absolutely dont follow you amaricans in the assumption that no one is to be trusted, whereby you apparently see an fbi agent, even when there is none.

Ohvanz,

Your reactions here are proof to me that Mark was right in not giving out details of Mike's passing.

Also, I don't know what country you're from and I don't care, but I would appreciate you leaving our nationality out of it.

Perhaps you might take the same advice you so freely distribute here in forum. You've been a member for about four years? Check the posted Join Date under your name. Or are you telling us you joined, then left, then joined up again? You see this as loyal? Many of us who have been here for a few years have seen this behavior in others, some were banned for being inflammatory, others just left. In any event, we will tell you that past experience with some members and their lack of discretion about personal matters is the sole reason many of us, both owners and members alike, have decided to be cautious about what information we give out. If this makes you feel uncomfortable, I'm sorry. Live with it. We do! And please, think before YOU write.

Whether Mike's next update should be released on the 4th March or not or later is subjective.
I do however feel it should be seen as a celebration of his life.
Keep the lawnmower going.

Ray, I agree. And of all the tat's I've seen on here the lawnmower man is the best.

:cursing:IT'S NONE OF ARE BUSINESS.

To say I am stunned would be an understatement. He always seemed to be so vibrant and enjoying life. I would have greatly enjoyed knowing him as a person beyond his performances here. I wish the best to his family and his friends. May they find peace in their memories of him.

normally, being that this is on Mike's Memorial thread, i would drop the subject. but you are being an ass. girl let me tell you, if you think we can all be giving information freely without misusing it, you are sadly mistaken. you cant trust anyone, and i knew mike personally, and i know FOR A FACT he would not want his business given to everyone. i2ina69 was right, its none of yo damn business! and as far as "loosing" (invest in a dictionary) loyal customers, cancel your membership, cuz we dont want any snoopy motha fuckas in here. you are over stepping some vital boundaries put up to protect the models and their families. stop pressing the issue, his cause of death is not only not known, but it is never going to be given to us, especially you! This isnt a public figure we are talking about, this is Mike Robbins, a boy that let in a select few that he could trust. Check yourself, before you wreck yourself, and THIS IS ALL!

Marky,

FYI...I, too have been a member of Broke Straight Boys for about four years. However, I didn't post in this room until about a year (or so) ago. And, I never left or re-joined as I would ONLY read what you guys had written.

And, yes (although, it's NOT my business) I'd still like to know the circumstances of MikeR's passing. Next to Tyler, he was my favorite!

Thank you Castrol but let go.They win because I do want to further argue with people at such a low level. The word "ass", which apparently jwglass likes to use(not the first time),does not appear in my dictionary. If this can be a confort to this person, watching Mike's shoots (I could not bring myself to look at his last update besides) will never be the same because I liked the guy as so many. Moreover I would NEVER try to abuse additional information given because I am someone who carries "RESPECT" very high in my standard. This is the a.. some so brilliantly accused but thank God I know better!

Oh give it a damn rest. His cause of death will NOT be released. Now turn the thread back into remembering the awesome man himself.

yes sir, i love to say the word ass, because i say it how it is, and i tell people when they are being an ass. and ass is in the dictionary my friend. and i will make it my sole purpose to use ass in every single one of my posts in the future. and im not saying youre going to be an ass and abuse the information of his death, but there is always someone that will. its happened here before. step back. nobody wins here. Mike R is dead, and his memorial thread has been turned into a three ring circus. figures as much. there is always a stupid old queen out there that just wont let by gones be by gones.

I'm far from a regular poster on here, but wanted to share my thoughts. I do not know Mike Robbins, either meeting him personally or ever conversing with him online. It is very sad that a person so young passes away. Why or how he passed is none of my business, although I certainly understand why others may want to know. I think it's just human nature.
What bothers me most is folks turning on each other here. It seems to me that there's a lot of misplaced anger. I understand completely where jwglass is coming from. If he knew Mike personally, then he is going to take it harder than most folks in here. If he chooses to cancel his membership, one cannot blame him because watching the videos of someone he knows could very well be too painful. If others want to watch today's video of Mike, they are welcome to do so since this is a paid membership site. Those who don't have every reason not to, because once again, they are paying for the membership.
Sorry if this is a tad long, but wanted to bring my perspective to the mix.

Someone said recently with some authority that threads often move in other directions than the ones intended by the OP. Different people express their concern in different ways. Knowing how someone dies can help a person grieve, for someone he or she has lost, in a broader way; it's the first question you ask, in all societies, all over the world. I know there's a feeling that the assorted, and in some cases strange, members of a fetish porn site interjecting their feelings into the process MikeR's family have just gone through, with some kind of mistaken attempt to contact them, is not ok, and I share that. But the idea that a small clique of MikeR's off-campus forum friends somehow have a monopoly on sadness, and therefore the right to channel the grief of the rest, is very, very weird.

Slimvintage>>Thank you for this very sensible post!

Slimmie, I think this whole forum has been very, very weird the last few days. That has added to the sadness I have felt over the passing of MikeR. MikeR was always very open and honest on his thread. He took all questions in stride, without offence or anger, and I think that was an admiral quality.

Over the last few years, there have been many aquaintences through work, pass away. The first reaction is shock or sadness, the first question is always "How did it happen?" That is human nature. In many cases, the answer is simply "I don't know." Obituaries, very often don't tell you how the person died, and we learn to deal with that answer. But, the question should be accepted and respected, as part of the process.

I never will get over Dustins death. Through this site and forums I felt he was a friend/relative. Knowing what happened is EXACTLY a human question that needed to be asked and answered. Mike has become a cute kid I got to know on here too but not really to the same level BUT he too was a part of my life as it was to all of us here. Is it our business? When he was interviewed and we saw him perform over and over again we got to have him become part of us. Like the kid at the next desk or the guy next door. For us to grieve and have some closure we need to know some of the details. It is a disservice to tell us of his death and nothing more.
Mike, Rest in Peace. I will miss you as the good person you were. I hope in Paradise you can relive all the good times in your life for all eternity.
