I was sad to learn that Don Grady, one of "My Three Sons" from the Fred MacMurray sitcom from the '60's passed away this week. He played the character of Robbie Douglas, and was right up there with Tony Dow, (Wally of Leave it to Beaver), as an idealized version of an older brother to me.

I recall enjoying the episodes of My Three Sons where Robbie was working on his car, always in a grase stained tight white T shirt, and every once in the while I can recall Robbie without a shirt, and those were my favorite episodes of all. :001_tongue:

I was very sorry to hear of Don Grad's passing.

I have to agree with you!

Dear Mikeyank,

Don Grady was definitely the "eye candy" :wtf: of his day on "My Three Sons"! He always gave me the motivation to check him out in hopes his appearance was according to your preference: namely shirtless and beautifully silky/nicely developed chest of his, on display for all to appreciate!:001_wub: But added to this charming characteristic, he was also packing either a nice pair or one promising bulge in his tight-fitting, crotch-challenged jeans that I so enjoyed seeing.

Having myself a 6' 4" 8 years older brother to admire and possibly worship for his "height alone", but perhaps even for his "broad shoulders" if lucky, is enough for any kid less than 5 feet high to gladly pay homage to anyway!

Don Grady was definitely an icon of the early 1960's! Sorry to see him go!

Sincerely,

Stimpy

That was a very "forward" show for its time. I enjoyed watching it to see the dinamics of an all male household. I found this photo of Don as well; he was a very nice looking man.

OH NO!! WHAT HAPPENED? He was a heartthrob of mine too!! He remained extremely good looking even into older age as later photos of him revealed. He apparently went into the music business from an administrative and managerial standpoint.

I was a little shocked when I heard he had died because I knew he wasn't all that old, so I looked it up. It appears he had a long battle with cancer.

oh yes! I too loved this young man. I had not seen an older photo of him till now, wow! He did turn into a handsome man!
