Guys, reading about how management evolved in these stages is fascinating. More so, how players that were directing BSB2 in early 2011, are still affecting, in some ways, Broke Straight Boys right now, today! Fascinating! I can make logical conclusions, but I prefer facts. Having and knowing the background players make what we see have an easier rationale. Could one of you put Broke Straight Boys management and its history in perspective for me?

Here are the facts sir. lol

The owner of Broke Straight Boys from day one until present is Mark, who sometimes posts here.

David and his business and life partner Eddie have a production company called D&E. They produced the content of Broke Straight Boys from the beginning until 2011 when Mark consolidated his sites and had Clay who was producing College Dudes produce and direct both sites originally from Florida, but eventually Mark moved all personnel and studios to Denver. (By the way, David and Eddie still produce collegeboyphysicials, our bonus site here).

Sha and Bryce worked for Mark since the beginning, I believe. Among Sha's duties that we knew of was he organized all of the Pride Events where a group of models went to the various gay pride events around the country and chaperoned the models. I had the honor to meet Sha with Blake Bennet, Jason Matthews, Denver Grand, and Cole Gartner of College Dudes when they came to New York in 2012.

Following Clay's abrupt departure, the scenes were directed by Johnny Robbins who had a very distinctive voice and "hand" and when you get to his scenes you will know it. Johnny also left without a goodbye and was replaced by Damian Christopher who was a photographer, designer and worked on the TV Show. At some point after the TV show Damian Christopher left and Sha and his business partner Bryce who is now also administrator took over shooting the scenes, from studios in Florida and currently in Atlanta and that brings us to today. Keep in mind Tyler36, that I am just an "obsessed fan", and so I may have gotten some of the facts wrong, and obviously management is welcome to correct any inaccuracies from this yenta. lol

I think many people to include myself, became or become curious as to "how the pieces fit". I don't know if Broke Straight Boys's intention from the beginning was to create this sort of reality feeling you get between the story lines and the models as you are up close and (seemingly) personal...but I really think it's worked out for them. Creating a place where members can participate in discussions and at one time, having a place on the forum dedicated to "chatting with the models" was definitely something that made the experience different from other porn sites as well. I am sure that there are members who've subscribed to the site since it's inception and doing so, watched every scene as it came out almost like watching a mini series. Each scene and episode creating more of an intrigue as it unfolded. That and the fact that Mark and other members of his staff do and have made comments and reply to certain inquires made both on the forum and via PM's gives the site a feeling of being connected for some. Most porn sites you are just a viewer or subscriber. If there are questions or concerns, you go through their customer service and more times than not, it's just the billing services that you deal with. They are not the "owners" of the site or a lot of times, don't know anything about the site it's self. I think it's one of the reasons people actually feel more inclined to stay members of Broke Straight Boys

I know for me, that is one of the appeals, that and I do enjoy the models and the porn and occasionally, the forum drama! LOL

I have learned however, that staying with only one site, despite it's good points, I need to see other things, take in different perspectives and keep my imagination and my intrigues and my ability to discern fact from fiction, fresh! LOL

betudidntknow, your observation here are spot on! As I have gone through the Broke Straight Boys files, Super Star Jason Matthews was the only model who worked under three different directors and witnessed the transitions of the site, through his final scene with Sergio Valen in January, 2014. He definitely produced some "drama" and administrative "feedback" with fellow member commenters after that episode was released. (more on this below)

His first two scenes were group set ups with Danny and Diesal in late 2008. In January 2009, he returned for his first "one on one" with a "cocky" and "mean spirited" Dustin. At least that is how he appeared to me.

Jason found himself in a Pennsylvania Prison for 2 years. In search of $$$, he came to the source, finding a new director. Clay matched him up with hottie Mick Gibson, and his Broke Straight Boys "stardom" took off. He was in monthly updates throughout 2011. By the time it was his turn to take on the "red rocket", he had pretty much perfected his role as a power bottom. However, he topped newbies when Clay saw fit. From viewing his scenes during this period, Jason began to slowly "peel the onion" off his completely "straight boy" image(my observations fostered by my fantasies), especially with his hot, sensual, and steamy scene with Paul Canon...and not to forget BAREBACK!

Jason continued into and through 2013 with appearences, at least each month, in the Broke Straight Boys updates. With 6 - 7 more scenes of Jason's to review, I fast forwarded to his final episode with Sergio Valen I have seen the other episodes at previous tmes, and if you are a fan of Jason Matthews(and who isn't????) there is nothing more to add. Again, as I watched this scene, his last scene here, Jason ripped off some more of the onion....SERGIO: "dude, that's some nice cock. I'm tearing up! JASON: "That's a good sign.....those are tears of joy!" SERGIO: "Sorry bro...not for me." Which I admit, I thought was kinda of snarky on his part.

That was rather interesting Tyler reading the comments after that scene. I was never a fan of the comment page, and always was a forum guy, but I see that Mark, Bryce and Johnny Robbins all addressed the change in style from Clay to Johnny and the promises from Johnny Robbins to "tone down" his comments and especially his signature hand in his scenes. And yes I see that Stowe also participated there as well. There were similar discussions on the forum at the same time. I'm glad that my primer on the directors here has helped you understand "who is who" in directors here, Tyler.

One tidbit of information that's just an FYI of Broke Straight Boys history Tyler, is that when Jason chatted with us here in the forum he addressed the circumstances that brought him back to Broke Straight Boys after a years-long hiatus. He humbly expressed great appreciation from the fans for such a warm welcome back to the site. He was up front about part of his absence being due to some unfortunate incarceration. (For which he did his time, paid his debt to society and was back on the straight and narrow.)

Anywho... When asked how he made it back to Broke Straight Boys, he credited a few factors. One of them included him saying something about, "I called in favors I didn't even know I had." While that comment was pretty vague to us at the time, it later became clear that Jason had worked on the site College Dudes years before when the director of the College Dudes site was...Clay. So Jason and Clay already had a working relationship in the past. It wasn't hard to guess that part of the way Jason made it back here to a very successful and triumphal return, was due to Clay giving Jason another chance. While many know by now that I can be pretty hard on Clay at times, I'll give him credit where good credit is due for bringing Jason back to us.

I agree with your comments regarding Clay, As I went through the scenes he directed for Broke Straight Boys, I found myself giving him an "imaginary pat on the shoulder" many times. The way he brought Jason back to Broke Straight Boys in his return episode with Mick was an example. Knowing that it could have been uncomfortable for Jason and to keep "the mood" lively over all, I thought it was fun banter that Clay injected with the "sex life in a prison" conversation. It provided a chuckle for everyone and a feeling of "o.k. back to business"!

Stowe, you are so correct! Mike has been extremely helpful in answering questions I have had, and most importantly, giving feedback to observations I took away from scenes. He filled in many "blanks" that were extremely helpful for this Broke Straight Boys novice, as did Tampa. They are valuable resources, and I can't say "Thank You" enough. Also, fellow members like you, Stowe, with you comments and observations have helped me along too! There are things we don't totally agree on, but I think I can say with 100 percent accuracy that we ALL DO LOVE OUR.............

Hey Tyler,

In digging into the archives I hope you'll go easy on my boy Colin because of a few factors over which he had no control. Colin was brought in while Clay was still trying to get settled in here. As I've alluded to before, it was not a smooth transition when Clay took over. There were a lot of growing pains over several months before Clay could right the ship and get on an even keel. Also, Colin ended up doing three scenes with one model. Jimmy. And I'm not a fan of Jimmy. So I never go back to re-watch those three Colin scenes. lol Hopefully though you like some of the Jimmy ones with Colin as well as some of Colin's other ones. But Colin's scenes with Anthony and especially the scene with Kodi are still among my all-time Colin favorites.
