What makes Broke Straight Boys different from other premium gay porn websites. UPDATE

After two weeks far from here I just read the whole thread... But I wrote Tyler in private when I saw he was watching the BSSB-2 videos... I told him about Jimmy... I told him Mike would defend him and Tampa would say he was a pain in the ass... And it was all here... So now I see he already knew... lol

I have a clearly preference for Broke Straight Boys 1 director, but I like many models of Broke Straight Boys 2... I would tell Tyler to keep an eye on Bobby Owen (he is hot and super funny), Conner Chesney (I am not sure what I like so much about him... but he attracts my eyes like a magnet), Kodi (I have mix feelings for him... Sometimes I want to cuddle him and sometimes I think he he just an annoying kid), Spencer Todd (the most beautiful boy I have ever seen) and Max Flint There are some obvious ones, like Denver, Ayden Troy and Jason Matthews who are amazing too... But I guess you already know about them...

Just to make a comparison, here is the straight girl's favorite list...

What do you guys think?
You always make me smile, Bartirah! Your "warning" to Tyler about "my Jimmy" was precious and accurate, and your thoughts about Kodi were perceptive as well. We've had a few vocal females on the forum before and your love of Deisel, Conner, Spencer and Porn Shane have been often mentioned by other girls as well as boys of course, My list also includes Ayden, Jordan and Ronan Kennedy. (How do you copy your favorite's to post on the forum, as you and Tyler have done?)

I love the entire Broke Straight Boys experience, and I love having you Bartirah here to share my love of Broke Straight Boys with me. Thank you!

Can't wait tell you get to 2013 cause there were a abundance of Beautiful boys here then. Got me here. Then we went downhill for a while.
But Broke Straight Boys seems to be making a comeback. One hot newbie after another. Was thinking of leaving for a while. Glad I didn't. Now.

I have to agree with you Johnny on both counts. There was a paucity of high quality models over the last year or so. Things are definitely moving in the right direction again now. :)

I agree with Johnny & Tampa, but I'd like to start it with 2012 for some of my all time favorites...........

Sweet, Mike!!! I love Broke Straight Boys too, specially because of the great chance of meeting such nice people like you, Johnny, Tampa, Tyler and so many others!:smiley-love021:

Well, I used the key Print Screen (PrtSc) from my kewboard to copy the Screen of my computer while I was looking at my favorite's page. then I saved the image on my own computer and attached it here... I don't know if Tyler did the same...

It was a silly fantasy. But lasted two years.
But it was real on My part. In those days we could kinda talk with the models. Paul new me and even sent me a Birthday card
and a piece of his long hair on my Birthday. With the help of a Forum friend Peter H who was a personal friend of he and Damien Kyle. And the one and only Ayden.
But mikeyank felt about him as I felt about Paul. So no messing around. Even in fun. Beautiful boy.Ya..2012 and 2013 were very
special years on Broke Straight Boys. For me the best..And I became friends with Mike..Paul ran off with Damien Kyle..I felt sad. Then Tanner came along. lol And another silly Johnny post...

Kodi actually did his solo for us on December 26, 2011, making for a very nice Christmas present for us, and he did his first boy on boy scene in January of 2012 which is when the other boys I pictured above were all introduced.

In addition to the six I pictured above from 2012, we were also introduced to these fine fellows that year. lol Some I considered hot and some not so hot, but all became iconic Broke Straight Boys!

And the mysterious Dan White who only did a solo on October 12, 2012, yet he remains on page three of the all time highest rated models from only that one solo, but oh what a solo!!!! lol

Yes Johnny, those were some great years for both the models and for the forum. As Franky Sinatra once famously sang, "It was a very good year! lol

I have to agree. Adam had/has? an amazing ass. You could bounce a quarter off of it. And get back two dimes and a nickel. haha

As I jump back into the matrix of Broke Straight Boys..especially part two, I am understanding Clay's persona much more. As we have all stated, one way or the other, it was not a cohesive or clear transition. Those priceless threads, that Tampa brought back into this current conversation, make it all too clear the challenges that faced this site in the Spring of 2011. Add to that, a new voice and style from behind the camera, and the only thing that is recognizable is the title...Broke Straight Boys..and the futon(only at the beginning). So, understanding Clay's direction was a big hurdle and is making things easier, from my perspective anyway.

Darren crosses paths with many of the new Broke Straight Boys models that were emerging. There is a mystery about him that has put a spell on me. He seemed to make all of the models that Clay brought into the group and his scenes, more at ease and relaxed. I got the feeling that Clay depended on him, too. I could sense an underlying bond of some sort mixed in there with every scene. He was a dominant top, but took the bottom position twice, once for Bobby(after the hair cut) and once for Jimmy(real men bottom!! hahaha, just kidding Mikey!). If I had a room dedicated to my Broke Straight Boys favorites, Darren would have a special spot. I enjoyed all of his scenes, but these were my favorites.

Darren enjoyed breaking in this new guy(Seth Hardy), but I have a feeling even Darren was surprised how much this quiet and reserved "geek" type was able to take in this first meeting.

and of course my Chad here. Darren put this boy's first time visit anxieties to bed!:wink:

and his highest rated episode with Kevin at 4.43/5
Darren: "You are better than most females I know...."
Kevin:  giggle giggle

Clay compliments Kevin as Darren is bringing it home....you hsve to watch it!

I read some commentary in one of the previous posts regarding models emerging in 2012. I will soon be there.

Very spot on observations Tyler, particularly about Clay and Darren. Clay obviously had some connection with Darren as he did keep him around to "break in" many of his new models. As I've said before I was never a huge fan of Darren from a physical perspective, but after watching him in a BTS, I discovered he was an intelligent young man and a professional on camera. He just didn't have the boyish "pretty boy" qualities that really turned me on in a Bobby or even Jamie or Rocco, again purely physical reactions based on my own preferences, (who gave me a boner and who did not! lol)

Screenshot (1265).jpg
Jamie Wolf, looking at "the creeper with all of the power and money". Jamie's time with Broke Straight Boys was only about 5-6 months. However, he represented all of the fundamental traits we all look for in the models that ultimately show up here. The physical may not match(he does for me...brown hair, brown eyes, etc), or the personality(aggressive and blunt), but Jamie was broke(homeless, living in a big cardboard box), straight(son with previous girlfriend that was after him for child support) boy(one look at his cock and balls...no need to say anymore). I think Jaime should have contacted the makers of the fleshjacks and sell a mold of his mouth for one of their masturbaters. I have a feeling he could pick up some more big $$$ for that. I might even be tempted to buy one.Screenshot (1258).jpg

In my fantasy, Jamie was rescued by Clay....not just for the Broke Straight Boys episodes, but I want to think he got him off the streets and out of the cardboard box. Clay was infatuated with Jamie. He earned the nickname "creeper" when he was in one of his shoots. The sexual directives sternly given by Clay pushed Jamie way over any of his comfort lines, but he did, in fact, have the money and the power to keep a tight leash on Jamie. Thus, the 5 months. Clay knew once Jamie got on his feet, he would be history. He had his goals and outlines ready; the top goal seeing and recording Jamie giving up his ass.https://members.brokestraightboys.com/play/NTk4/mick-&-jamie

jaime1.jpg
I have a feeling Clay has this picture in a "victory" collection or something.

https://members.brokestraightboys.com/play/NTk4/mick-&-jamie
Out of his 15 shoots, his scene with Jason was my favorite. Jason Matthews was initially introduced in BSB1 scenes, but was one model that transitioned into the BSB2 era. He was another model that Clay had a firm hold on. He would let him get independent to a certain point, then clamp down on the leash and reign him in. Jason was aware and played along with the "master/slave" mind trick set up, with his longevity, high praises, and performance marks ultimately paying off for him. Jason ended his tenure as Master.

Clay's "dominance" over two of his favorite Broke Straight Boys models is clearly seen within this episode. "The master creeper" interrupted many times, telling Jamie and Jason what HE wanted to see...(I repeat...what HE wanted to see), but also stopped to compliment Jamie on his straight manly skills opening up Jason's "one way venture". The end was disappointing for me. It is proof that $$$$ can only do so much for a Broke Straight Boys

Rocco, Colin, Jack, and Bobby are under the microscope.

One more recommendation from the BTS series Tyler. This is called "Jamie Bobby And Jimmy Take On The Board" from May 13, 2011 where the three models sit and read the forum comments about them and particularly Jimmy as they read the posts. Of course I pay particular attention at the 7:30 mark when they read my comments and Jimmy says, "mikeyank. That is my dawg". And he means it in a good way. lol  :smiley-love001:

Indeed Tyler. They read my post and all seemed to enjoy it, especially when I commented on Bobby shooting his load and putting his arms up in the air and yelling "touch down". lololol

You put your finger on a rather weird aspect of Clay's first 6-8 months of filming Broke Straight Boys-2 Tyler. I always had a suspicion that Clay took license with the fact that he could rework the idea and concept of Broke Straight Boys in order to have the models do things that he wanted to see them do...but Not necessarily what a majority of gay viewers would like to see. The camera angles would be terrible at times and he would miss shots of action that people did want to see...and focus on something on the set that most people didn't give a flip about. Some of us would get so upset and say things along the lines of, "Why did you pan the camera away in the middle of this great action, or miss this one moment altogether...and instead point the camera over there instead? You missed the best part of that sequence!"

I wondered at times (In the first 4-6 months especially) if Clay was filming the scenes for the benefit and enjoyment of the viewing audience...or if Clay was choreographing and filming the scenes...for Clay. Even though I eventually liked Clay's later work, even with years of hindsight I still suspect the latter during the beginning of his time here. For the first 6 months or so, many of us here in the forum were asking if Clay was a straight guy who was brought in to film gay porn for the first time. Or why he seemed so tone deaf as to what a gay audience would most likely want to see.

Just as a "for instance" there was one video of foot frottage. It was condemned roundly here in the forum as a waste of film and a waste of the models' talent or potential talent. This isn't a fetish/kink site after all. Even beyond a few months after the scene came out its rating was still about 1.7 As of today it "improved" to 2.1 haha

As I say though I think it was Clay himself who had the foot fetish. Not the majority of the audience. But he used the site's models and our money to pay the models, the filming staff and so on to film it...because that's what HE wanted to see. (An abuse of responsibility, authority and power that he would demonstrate to a much higher degree years later.) And as I say, that's just one example, albeit a little more blatant. Other odd things he did in other scenes that would leave us just shaking our heads in disbelief, followed that same kind of pattern...but were often more subtle. You would wonder if he is brand new to filming and has no clue what he's doing... Or is Clay just filming for Clay?

Long story short is that the time frame of the site you're going through now is some of my least favorite of the whole site. Yes. It brought us Bobby, Colin, the return of Jason to near universal acclaim, etc. But beyond a few good models out of many who were sub-par at the time...I'm being polite here, lol...it's not an era that I remember with great fondness. lol As I say though, after you get through the first 6-8 months of Clay arriving...things do improve quite a bit. lol

It is difficult for me to objectively look at Clay and his time as the director of BSB2 for two reasons. One was that back then, I resented the removal of David and looking today, I think of how Mark used the words at the end of Broke Straight Boys-TV that he was "betrayed" by someone he trusted and I am 99% sure it is Clay he is referring to. And also with the recent release of Rick Hazard's solo and how he told us that he was told by Clay not to tell Sha that he worked for him before Broke Straight Boys And finally after watching a few snippets from his creepy new site, he totally turns me off. So I am not a good judge of the work of Clay.

However he did hire some of my all time favorite Broke Straight Boys models including Jimmy, Bobby, Rocco, Blake (and rehired Jason), Paul, Adam and MY
AYDEN
:smiley-love021:, and others, so he is to be credited for that!

All those issues played into a sense that the site went into a temporary decline right after Clay took over. I remember one thing that really upset members here in the forum was the way Clay would literally throw cash at the models or make them say humiliating things like, "I just got fucked for cash." Or having them stand there naked and say, "I'll do anything for money." He was kind of treating them like hustlers and prostitutes. And we protested that he should be treating the models with much more respect and dignity. It almost felt like we were protecting them from a bully. When enough negative feedback reached him, Clay finally stopped throwing around dollar bills and making the models say humiliating and degrading about themselves.

Lo and behold, years later Clay has his own website with a minority fetish theme of humiliating, degrading and dominating the models in verbal, physical and sexual ways. Even to the point of slapping them in the face and so on. So, big shocker. Clay is the one who has a fetish/kink for dominating and humiliating sexual partners and models. So when he took over Broke Straight Boys he was not so concerned about making scenes that would appeal to as wide of an audience as possible to boost membership and the site's good name in the industry. He often in the beginning at least, used the money of the site and the labor of the staff and models to make videos that appealed to his own more narrow sexual kinks and fetishes...and not playing to the sexual enjoyment of the majority of the viewers who were actually paying all of the bills. lol

So yeah. There's that. Just a little bit of baggage. haha

These are young kids of mostly 18-22 y/o for God's sake. Yes. They're of legal age. Yes. They're agreeing to do this and have given legal informed consent. Yes. We want to enjoy their beautiful young bodies. But... We don't want to treat them like pieces of meat. And I certainly don't want them thinking that humiliating people or using other people for your own amusement or gain, to the point of humiliation, is considered acceptable or normal behavior in this adult world which they are just entering. When enough negative feedback reached him, Clay finally stopped throwing around dollar bills and making the models say humiliating and degrading things about themselves.

But to play "Devil's Advocate" for a minute, we must keep in mind that Clay did not operate in a vacuum. There was a long period, perhaps several months after we learned that David and his D&E studio was no longer producing content for Broke Straight Boys and during that period we were watching David's final content that was in the can, (referred to by some as the "bottom of the barrel" scenes, but that is a side issue). During that long period of waiting, Mark finally came on the forum to tell us that he and his team were in planning as to what the new content would look like, and he promised us "straighter" boys than we had seen before leading up to March 2, 2011 with us seeing Jimmy walking across the bridge and the debut of Broke Straight Boys-2.

557-cover.jpg

Therefore it is my belief that it was a team effort to hire Jimmy Johnson as the face of the new site, as obviously Mark had to approve and agree to give Jimmy a year long exclusive contract to appear only on Broke Straight Boys for that year. I think it was all a collaborative effort by Mark, Clay and the team to emphasize the straight boy aspect after some of David's final months of models appeared to be less than straight, including Price the alternative rock musician who was possibly going with gender reassignment therapy while filming for Broke Straight Boys

76.jpg

But my point is that the Broke Straight Boys manangement team had a plan to emphasize the straight in Broke Straight Boys, with Jimmy's attitude of being a true straight boy, and the signs on the wall, and with Clay having the models saying the demeaning things, and literally throwing money at their naked bodies and all. It wasn't received as well as management thought it would be and eventually the "over the top" straight emphasis was pushed back to a more subtle level. My point is that it is unfair to put all of the blame on the director Clay as he was part of a team during the roll-out of Broke Straight Boys-2 and had upper management carefully monitoring the re-boot of Broke Straight Boys Again, I am no fan of Clay's but there are two sides to every story.

That much is true also Mikey. Clay did not operate in a vacuum. It would be an oversimplification to say that everything that went wrong in the launch of Broke Straight Boys-2 was Clay's fault. They were thrashing around a bit in the beginning of Broke Straight Boys-2 trying to figure out what might work best. Though I still don't let Clay off the hook for many things.

Again, I'm no fan of Clay's but at the end of the day, Mark has been and still is the owner of the site and at any time could have called Clay into his office and said:

Which he very well may have done as things smoothed out and the straight angle was more subtle and implied rather than right in our faces and the model's faces. But with the introduction of some of these boys, the Clay era aka Broke Straight Boys-2 took a sharp upward turn!

Guys, reading about how management evolved in these stages is fascinating. More so, how players that were directing BSB2 in early 2011, are still affecting, in some ways, Broke Straight Boys right now, today! Fascinating! I can make logical conclusions, but I prefer facts. Having and knowing the background players make what we see have an easier rationale. Could one of you put Broke Straight Boys management and its history in perspective for me?

Broke Straight Boys-1 2006-2010(?) Broke Straight Boys-2 (2011 -2013???) Broke Straight Boys present day
owner-? (was it David/D&E?) owner- Mike Mike, Sha
director: David director: Clay director: Bryce(???)

once I get this lined out, I will complete my comments. Very imteresting stuff!
