whats needs to be done to improve my scenes

You and me both! xD
Or... I guess I can say I am a pansexual woman, but I find the distinction between the two a bit blurred at times xD

i appreciate all the comment and advise you'll have giving me. i will take them all in and become a better model for you all

OMG I would rather face a host of NY Theater critics. We might give the kid just a little break. and understand that getting naked and having yourself filmed while having sex then open yourself to criticism is putting yourself in a very vulnerable position no matter how big of an exhibitionist you may be. We might tell him how much we enjoy his beautiful body and enthusiastic attitude

Kelly, we don't often disagree, but this is a members forum and members are entitled to state their point. When models appear on Broke Straight Boys they can either read or ignore the forum. I feel that the models who don't cry foul are those who do not comment at all, such as Ayden - to an extent, Skyler, and lots of other models who have never posted. And yet they are still popular without shedding any issues or tears.

Tyler. I wrote a short comment before, but I do want to add a little more here. You have become my favorite model since the Kodi era. I watched Kodi grow just as I am watching you grow. I know you have a scene coming up with Vadim Black but I will hold off on commenting until the scene is released. There was a scene Kodi did with Jason. It was then that he threw me over the edge of acceptance. If you have not watched this scene, I invite you to watch it and see the chemistry between these two Broke Straight Boys boys.

Be quiet. Be yourself. If you look at some of the first scenes you did, you came off as a decent guy. Now you are so loud Half that building can hear you. Knock off the arm pit deal. If you are going to rim someone, learn how to do and do it right or don't do it. To me, the scenes are suppose to be two guys having sex and both people are suppose to enjoy it and had a little fun. Compare your scene with Ryan Fields and his reactions to Paul's scene with Ryan Fields and Brandon B. scene with Sebastian. Both guys talk to the person on bottom but they are talking to them not the entire building. They are asking their partner questions so that the other guy is comfortable and Ok and maybe enjoying it to. If the camera man ask a question, let the other guy talk too. Finally let the real Tyler out of the bag and just be yourself. I agree with others, if you are doing a scene with someone find out what they like and you guys make each other happy.

Ur just all about criticism

What bobbity said, but I add about pit-licking. It's about body worship, the complete want, need and adoration of the body. Pit-licking (ball-licking, foot-licking) is about the scent of the man; so when you do it, really get in there and nibble, lick, use your nose and rub your whole face in it; enjoy the delightful fragrance. (or at least appear to!) That is all. :001_tongue:

Just be yourself, whoever that really is. There's nothing wrong with trying new things, but at the end of the day, from the odd scared/I can't do this act, to now this overly aggressive, somewhat forced since of machismo, it seems that just being you, might work the best. Being you means whatever your look would be if you weren't on film, however you would talk to any girl/guy when you have had sex off camera in the comfort of your own home, be that guy. People seem to take all of this far to seriously which is sad, so don't let the comments get your down. You can't please everyone all of the time.

I agree that talking to the guy bottoming and asking how he is doing is a good thing (Jimmy Johnson was very good to ask the bottom "are you alright?"). However I have to admit that it really gets to me when you (and Kaden Alexander as well) are fucking a guy who is obviously in pain and both of you continuously keep asking "do you like that?" I thing it should be obvious especially with guys new to bottoming that at that time the answer is probably "no." There are more realistic questions

Tyler, my boy. I'll keep this simple. I have not read all the comments in detail so I may be repeating others comments. If you like what you are doing and finding pleasure in it, just do what comes natural. Let it flow and forget there is a camera or possible script. Pretend you are in the privacy of your own bedroom.

I love you and all you do.

Louis

Perfect response... I was thinking the way. Other Louis' advice... you're doing fine... now stop worry too much about it!

Hi,

While these critiques offer a way for you, as our members, to express how you feel about a certain model's performance, we have to remember that these are young, straight men that don't necessarily have much experience with gay sex. Most come to us without any experience at all and are nervous, feel varying emotions for having to have sex with another guy to pay their bills, and have varying levels of self-esteem to begin with. Many of them have enjoyed healthy sex lives until they see some of the critiques of their performances on the boards. This has made many feel inadequate which leads to "thinking too much about it" when in the studio. Most models can't handle the criticism and choose not to participate in the forums because of this.
On the other hand, many end up suppressing their desire to do what our members ask and end up not doing more scenes. The ones who do participate have gotten past questioning their sexuality and the essence of their masculinity. It takes time to get our guys to try some of the things that you want to see onscreen, but I believe the hottest aspect of watching gay for pay porn is in seeing a guy try something for the first time. They may be a little awkward at it at first, but they learn and become better at it. That's why we always aim to take a simple porn performer and mold them into a porn star, but it takes time and effort. We often have great difficulty finding participants who are truly straight and open to trying new things. When we do, the results can be stellar.

One model, who I will not name, said that he categorized his different emotions under the rubrics of “true self” and “false self.” The true self felt masculine, was “adequate, on par,” “secure, confident, capable,” and “at home in his body.” The false self did not feel masculine, was inadequate and insecure, and felt alienated from his body. As as he began to feel comfortable with having sex with men, he eventually felt more at peace with his masculine self. Positive comments about his performance made him think he thought he had gained valuable insight into being good in bed, but he then realized that it provided false hope, which can be devastating. He eventually gave up because of the pressure combined with the increasing conflict between his ideals and his sexual behavior. For a long time, the things said about him continued to haunt him. I asked about the criticisms leveled at him. “In retrospect, I have to admit I think the critiques are largely correct,” he said. "The porn lifestyle is very lonely,” he told me.

Some of these critiques should be left for the director who coaches our guys through their scenes. The majority of the guys on our site are great at what they do including Tyler. Tyler is a beautiful person, and I will say that the boisterous, energetic, somewhat aggressive Tyler is the real Tyler. He's a tough kid that has been through a lot, and this is all new to him. I like a lot of the critiques here and agree with many of them. However, these should be left for the director. Tyler, I know you asked for this and you're a brave soul for doing so, but don't let the comments dictate what you do in the studio or get you down. You have finally gotten to the point where you are yourself on camera-- a tough guy with a heart of gold that performs without any problems. This kid is ready to go and we never have performance problems with him. Let the director and producers take these comments and work them into what he does in order to obtain the best performance possible.

Members, the thing I have begun to like about the boards is that you are a passionate bunch and fiercely loyal to the product. We love hearing what you have to say. You make this site great and we listen and evaluate everything you say. It's also a great case study into what people like sexually, what turns you on, and why some guys are liked more than others. It's pretty fascinating stuff. Wish I would have saved my thesis for this instead.

My two cents....

With much love and respect,

DC

These two paragraphs kind of contradict each other. I think I understand what your saying though, but the forum was created for the members not the models. After the model section was added, this was a plus for us to be able to interact with them. Like you said to Tyler don't take all the critism to heart, was good advice. We as members all have different tastes in models and what we like to see on film. But to ask us to leave the critqueing to the director is opposite of why the forum was created in the first place. Not trying to bust your balls DC, just my observation.

Damian:

1. To reiterate what you said to Tyler and this applies to all models - don't ask for critiques if they will upset you or "get you down".

2. This forum is member oriented. If the models wish to join and participate or just read them, that is up to them. And it should not and will not inhibit members from stating their views. And there are models who post because they like the adulation from some members.

3. Models perform on this site. And as with any performer the way they perform is subject to review be it good or bad. To review and make comments about a model's performance is the right of a member as long as it is done within the bounds of socially acceptable porn site civility. No one forces a model to read the thread about his performance. If he only wants to read positive reviews, then he probably shouldn't read the thread because there have been precious view threads where there were only positive comments about a performance.

4. I would hope that most members feel that the models if they are truly straight and have never had sex with any other man would be tentative, nervous, and hesitant about doing so. And we would also understand that the money and their need of it is the draw to get them to do gay sex. However, for those who stick around and continue to take the money for the sex, they have an obligation to improve on their craft, their performing if you will.

5. I'm sure there is a significant majority of members who have had varying degrees of experience with hustlers, street trade, or escorts. I know I have. And believe me if some of our Broke Straight Boys models were out on the streets and perform they way they do, they would not have many returning customers. Here at Broke Straight Boys we members are paying not to have sex with the guys, but to be voyeurs - watching guys having sex with each other. That is an awful lot of different appetites to be satisfied. And as has been stated many times before on this forum, everyone knows no one can please everybody all the time. You strive to please some of the people some of the time and over the course of time everyone will be satisfied some of the time.

6. I agree that the director and/or producer should be THE person who works with the model to structure the scene and help him get more comfortable with his work. And the director can read the forum and get an idea of what the majority of members like or want to see. Johnny has done that in the past and assume he continues to do so. And he took some of our recommendations to heart and has implemented them. But he is the experienced professional; the models are not. Perhaps the models should be discouraged from asking for performance tips from the members.

I have to agree with Peter's comment. From the very beginning when I started participating on the forum, I gave Mark all of the positive admiration for having such a place for members to discuss scenes, meet models and develop friendships with other members. The interaction with staff, not to mention what a marketing tool, promotional element and "testing ground" it provides for the site in terms of feedback. However, I've always seen it as a "Double Edged Sword" too! The past few days have been particularly interesting but, again....I cannot tell you how many threads I read or have read in the past where the same topic of conversations come up! I tend to remember a lot of what I read as if it's a continuous conversation. There have a few threads started by both staff and models alike, asking what members want to see. What would make for better viewing pleasures? Someone also recently made a comment about the models posting and how the ones who seem to know the "pro's and cons" of the forum atmosphere, tend to drop in from time to time but, also figured out "less is better sometimes". Even Sha once made a statement concerning how the forum can be a good thing or a not so good thing sometimes!

I don't have any suggestions to offer, just observations. Sometimes "It is what it is".

I agree with Peter, Stowe, and Betu. I've been a member since Mark began this forum, approximately six years ago and one of the things that I've always admired about Mark is how he's given us total freedom to express ourselves, even when we are in total disagreement with site policy at times. There have been rare times when Mark has closed a thread or not allowed us to offer our honest unfiltered opinions, even when they are negative regarding his site.

My feeling has always been that the forum "belongs" to us, the paying members. I thought that is why Mark created it. And when models post, they are stepping into "our forum". There have been suggestions made (including by myself and Jon) that the models be restricted to the "Chat with our models" thread where we could interact if we choose, but on the scene reviews and all, I sometimes feel the need to curb my unbiased opinion when the scene involves one of the models who post on the forum. It can make for an uncomfortable position of my having to decide between lying or being rude.

It's nice to have you being so interactive with us Damian. You are here with us and give us very detailed answers to our questions regarding things at Broke Straight Boys, but I hope that you are not asking us in any way to temper our opinions of the models, for fear of hurting them, as I do love the total freedom I've always felt here to state my honest and unfiltered opinions.
