Today was an absolutely perfect late September day and I took the subway to the last stop in Brooklyn, Coney Island to meet a friend, go to The Aquarium, walk to Nathans Famous for a hot dog and fries and walk on the famous boardwalk where my parents and grandparents walked on as well. Beautiful day! (And check out a few hot guys as well. See The Ponderings thread for those pics,

Today is October 9th and New York City has a later autumn than upstate. The trees are still mostly green this morning but I did detect a few twinges of color but it will be later this month before the change of season will be fully apparent.

Great pics! Fall is coming, I took the AC out of the window yesterday. It got cold last night, I was freezing my ass off laying in bed under quilts and finally broke down and put the heat on for a bit LOL

It’s kind of amazing how Mother Nature works her magic and despite what felt like an endless summer, here we are into fall with winter waiting in the wings.

Thanks for the beautiful pics! Connecticut trees are beginning to turn colors now, but New York City is a few weeks later due to being further south plus being in the warm water.

As I mentioned on the Ponderings thread, my friend was visiting me for the last week and I took some pics in Manahttan, including Hudson Yards and The Vessel, (which you cannot climb at this time), The Highline, Little Island, and yesterday we were in Battery Park and I took a couple of pics down there too.
