Scene Thread - Two Bros Jerk Off

The short answer...Yes. LOL. The College Boy Physicals was filmed prior...keep in mind we were figuring out the logistics regarding the virus and production..we still have a virus on the loose so we are taking things a bit slower these days and dealing with issues we never had to deal with in the past.

I am just very grateful to Mark and all the members that have welcomed me back with open arms and I am ramping up Broke Straight Boys production so I am excited to get these new boys started...and like Mark stated...they are HOT!

The last time you predicted that a new model was hot, his name was Austin Prince. And were you ever right about that hot twink! I would love to see him on Broke Straight Boys by the way. So I have no doubt that you have some really hot young fresh talent coming (or is the word "cumming") up for our viewing pleasure in September and thereafter.

Question. Moreno and Skylar both have individual stats pages, which you can be directed to on the scene page. However, their model pages aren't listed in "the boys". Moreno currently has a 4.86 which would put him as the highest rated model on the site. Just curious, why they nott included with the rest of the boys on the site?

Had to purge the CDN. You should see these model pages now.

It is great to hear David's voice again. I found his YouTube channel by pure coincidence and it's been fun to see this come about. While I wasn't really dissatisfied with the direction Broke Straight Boys went with 2.0 ("Broke Gay Boys") it sure is really nice to see the old formula back in action. Such a fresh change. Shaking things up here and there is always fun, particularly in the pandemic, when so many of us have time to revisit the old archives and reminisce. Thanks for bringing it back. I can't wait to see what's in store.

Hi Prophet,

You said everything so much more articulately than I did when I tried. I was not unhappy (and am not unhappy with Bryce's filming techniques at all. And certainly not Sha's interviews and his very polished way of speaking. I don't mind at all if future filming might be a somewhat collaborative effort. We'll see what happens. I do welcome though the opportunity to pull away some more from the Broke Gay Boy experienced model concept, and try to drag it back more towards the realm of the more first-time amateur model Broke Straight Boys Or at least a more butch Broke Bi-ish Boys...or even Broke Straight-Curious Boys.

I agree companies with both of you. I put up with Broke Gay Boys because of my friends here in the forum but I’m really looking forward to the reboot.

I’m sure there will be growing pains. I’m sure we will all bitch as usual at different times but I’m Excited about the possibilities and it’s going to be hard to wait for new scenes.

I adored Skylar and thought it was cute how he said part of why he is doing this is to be able to provide more for his baby's mother in his bio. That endeared me to him right away. I'm eagerly anticipating August 30th when the next video with him goes live. More Skylar please :)

(Oh and I've been with Broke Straight Boys on and off since the beginning, this is just the first time I posted on the boards :) )

A very good indication of a gay for pay straight boy is when he says that he is doing it to pay his child support order.

Sorry really didn't like this scene, far too much chat and a feeling that we were time travelling to the past, I thought I was watching a scene from the vault filmed about 13 years ago, until I realised it was a new scene.Compared to the scenes in recent years it felt really amateurish and staged . While this type of scene has a place in the history of Broke Straight Boys more sophisticated filming techniques have been in evidence in recent years and compared to these, this scene was poor. I just hope future scenes improve.

When the announcement was made that David was going to return to filming Broke Straight Boys in the “classic Broke Straight Boys” style, I thought of you Foxyman. From getting to know you through your posts on the forum over the last year and a half I was afraid that the style of Broke Straight Boys-1 would not appeal to you and others who joined the site in recent years. Whereas most of the regular contributors to the forum from the old days have left the site as the site shifted it’s focus from reluctant straight boys to more of an either pan sexual type or totally gay boys.

While many of the old audience left, a whole new group joined to whom the straight in Broke Straight Boys was just a word but not terribly important in their enjoyment of a model or a scene. I am a “dyed in the wool” fan of Broke Straight Boys, and stayed through all the changes over the years, but my favorite time period was the original concept that Mark had in mind when he initially hired David and then Clay in the early years of Broke Straight Boys-2.

From what David and Mark have told us, this initial pairing of Moreno & Skyler was a bit rushed due to the COVID situation and that future pairings will not start with Jack off scenes solely, but I personally think it will be difficult for management to thread the needle to appeal to all of the fans of the new and the fans of the old style. Time will tell, but your reaction to this scene did not surprise me at all. I’d love for all members to remain through the transition but I’m afraid there will be a shift in the audience here as well as in the style of scenes. That is an unfortunate consequence of change.

I must admit when I saw this scene I was really surprised at the decision to make a scene this way Mikeyank. I have not been on the forum or site for the past six weeks due to personal reasons so have not kept up with developments, thankfully I have more time now. What disappointed me most about this scene wasn't so much the concept but the scene literally being filmed the same way it was when the site started way back. If you watch this and the an early one they are literally the same. Now when Broke Straight Boys was first filmed it would I have no doubt have been considered inventive and a welcome to the porn industry. For me, this format in 2020 looks tired and uninspiring. The chat was inane and went on for over five minutes. The models I am not convinced are straight particularly Moreno . There didn't seem the reluctance I would have expected from"straight' guys to get their kit off. Also a really big no no for me is using mobile phones in a scene, Skyler really looked bored with the whole thing when being jerked off by Moreno.
I appreciate that you and others that have been around since the beginning would enjoy this nostalgic scene, but the ratings do not reflect that this is what everyone wants to see. You're right, Management are not going to be able to please everyone but consideration needs to be given to a fine balance of the concept of Broke Straight Boys and the evolving needs of the membership and what they expect from scenes filmed today. Going back to a format that worked when the site first started is probably not the answer. As with any concept it should be allowed to grow and develop in the ever changing and competitive world of the porn industry. I think Mikeyank you know that I am going to be vocal on this point in coming scenes, I just hope future ones do improve and we can find something to agree on.

Foxyman, I am perfectly fine with us disagreeing. For me that's what has always made this forum fun. If everyone agreed and "kissed the ass" of management and said every model was great and that every scene was wonderful, that would also be very uninteresting. What makes the forum fun for me is when several of us all offer our honest opinions whether we agree or disagree.

Again on this particular jack off scene, both David and Mark admitted that the pairing and the filming were a rush job. The situation in Atlanta and the testing there made it impossible for Sha to have a shoot week at that studio and David who was already filming College Boy Physicals had a testing site nearby that was equipped for both COVID and HIV testing and a quick decision was made to switch Moreno and Skyler from shooting College Boy Physicals to a rebirth of Broke Straight Boys-1.

Mark and David have said that future new match-ups will no longer feature jack off scenes and it will at least go right to oral. And we still have two more scenes of these two in the can, from the quick shoot week. My intention is to wait until David brings in new models who he hired exclusively for Broke Straight Boys to get a better idea of what direction the site will go in. But knowing David, I would not expect to bring in new boys and expect them to open their scenes with open mouth kissing and to readily suck or rim one another as has been the formula on Broke Straight Boys for the last few years.

Will David's style of shooting 'gay for pay' porn work in 2020? I don't know but I definitely think that a change in direction was needed and I am going to give the new direction time to find it's groove. With the exception of Ethan Steel, Masyn Thorne, Calhoun and Jos Alvarez, I watched very little porn on this site for the last period of time. I am excited to see the new talent and how David works his magic with brand new to porn, straight type boys in 2020. I am more excited now about Broke Straight Boys than I have been in many a moon. But we have to wait through the transition and through David's first three scenes which are apparently being interspersed with existing footage through the end of September.

P.S. I love this discussion with you Foxyman. And I urge others to voice their opinions, whether they agree with either of us. Spirited discussions are what this forum should be all about in my opinion.

Sorry to say that this scene was seriously boring and uninteresting. I was happy when the futon retired, but thought it would be fun to see it one more time for nostalgia. But if this is the new direction without much difference from from Broke Straight Boys 1.0, those members that joined Broke Straight Boys 2.0 And after will be left hanging. I would love to see some Broke Straight Boys 1.0 models Mixed with new models but I think that’s the limit of my interest. I hope management is working on a 4.0 version before We make a decision on leaving. :-(

Totally understand your view point, but please give it a chance before you jump ship...LOL. We have lots of really new models starting fresh. We have decided not to do solos but more of the hardcore scenes so we are making the adjustments as we plan out production and tweaking the scenes.
