With the release of Ethan Steele's scene with Marcus and the poor ratings and forum reviews, it got me to thinking about just how many real straight guys have appeared on the site over the last two years. Sha did say at the beginning of the Ethan/Marcus scene that it's no secret as to how challenging it is to get straight guys to appear on Broke Straight Boys in current times. I went back to pick out guys who I consider to be as close to being really straight as we've had over the last two years.

Allen Michaels - June 20, 2017

I think that Allen is about as straight as a Broke Straight Boys can be. His story was that he drove his friend to the house and that Sha convinced him to do a BTS and a solo. And he did no more. That is what I would really expect from a true straight boy, just as myself being a true gay man, I never would have appeared in any kind of a scene with a naked girl. It's just not me.

Ashton Taylor - July 4, 2017

Ashton appeared in nine partnered scenes, always topping, and had erection problems which is not surprising in a basically straight guy.

Danny Cruz - December 26, 2017

574.jpg

Three partnered scenes for Danny, all topping, however I will always remember Danny coming on the forum and telling us about a couple of real life experiences with guys and that if invited back, he would consider bottoming. However Sha came on the forum to tell us that Danny would not be invited back, due to low ratings. That was too bad as I liked Danny.

James Nearwater - August 7, 2018

584.jpg

Four partnered topping scenes for James. I loved his attitude, but physically he did little for me. But I do consider him one of the real straight guys in recent years.

Jonny Cox - September 1, 2018

Seven topping scenes for Jonny. Similarly to Ashton and James to an extent, Jonny had issues with staying rock hard fucking dudes, which to my way of thinking helps confirm his sexuality.

And in our current mix we have three more who fit into my classification as being as "straight" as a guy can be who fucks other guys, Ethan Steele from April 27, Elijah Scott from May 21 and Ryan Parks from May 25. These are all totally my own subjective classifications and anyone else's opinion is just as valid as mine, but that's how I see it.

I remember Mark telling us on the forum that his first porn site was "Straight Boys Jerk Off', and that is why he keeps the "reruns" of that dated site here as a bonus site. And that Mark always had a vision of what Broke Straight Boys started off as being. And so I do believe that Mark encourages Sha and Bryce to keep trying for straight boys even today and even though the majority of current fans prefer guys who willingly kiss, suck dick, rim and eventually bottom.

As Mark has been very active on the forum lately, I'd love to hear his opinion regarding really straight boys appearing on Broke Straight Boys in 2019. I may be in the small minority but I was very turned on watching Ethan Steele last night getting sucked off and fucking Marcus balls deep. That is what I enjoy seeing in a straight boy with a gay boy. In fact that is why I joined Broke Straight Boys in the first place.

including the above posts from you.....
WOW, IMPRESSIVE, such IN DEPTH research!! Kudos to you, Mike!

But I am surprised you did not include 1 of OUR favs, even though he is gay-he IS/COULD pass for BELIEVEABLY STRAIGHT.....Ronan Kennedy!

Woops! How could I forget.

Nine topping scenes and supposedly two more in the can, (but not in Axel's can, lol)

Well that depends on what your definition of a "straight boy" is. We are usually upfront with who is gay in the initial interview.

Gay for Pay, is a different ball game, because the straight guy is not in his element- his decision to make money is another thing. The demands of the shoot is also an element. Rolled into this is sex on camera. Not everyone can do it. Ben said in BTS he had to go to a different place. As most of us are gay who pay for this site. We have expectations that are met or not and the expectation today is that the straight guy earns that gay money. For a number of decades gay money was ignored. Times have not stood still. We as gay people have moved forward against at times very difficult moments. So we do have our expectation to get what we pay for. Sexual mind set is more fluid today than in the past. If Broke Straight Boys was straight guys having sex-what a horror show that would be-unless both gave into the sex. It takes all types to make PORN Gay or straight. I worked behind the scenes in str8 porn. Hair and makeup.

I read a post by Rep this morning on the intro thread saying to entonces65, "Some guys just don’t believe straight men bottom but you and I know better." I wanted to clarify my opinion on straight guys, including Broke Straight Boys models. First true 100% straight guys, Kinsey 0's do not have any sexual activity with guys. But there also are the kind of basically straight guys who come on Broke Straight Boys and who many of us have had sexual contacts with who identify as being straight, love women but also have an interest in guys sexually.

I fully understand that some of these mostly straight guys do love to get fucked and then go back to women. Other's just like to fuck or get sucked off by a guy, but could never kiss a guy or have an emotional attachment or relationship with another man. I wanted to clarify that what turns me on are "straight" guys who do not want to be fucked or suck dick, but only be serviced or to fuck another guy. That is my personal preference, but it does not encompass all "straight" guys who will dabble with other guys.

I am reminded of a guy I met in the gay bar Boots & Saddles on Christopher Street back in the eighties on weeknight. He was in his late twenties or early thirties and very masculine, and we talked over drinks. He told me that he was a truck driver and he had parked his truck and was staying in the city for a delivery in the morning. I thought he was very hot and masculine and I invited him to my apartment in Brooklyn Heights. I drove him here and when we got undressed and I reached for his dick, he backed off and told me not to touch it or to suck it but he only wanted me to fuck him. I told him I was not a top and wanted to suck him, and we were at an impasse and we got dressed and I drove him back to the city. I saw him as a very straight guy that I wanted to service and he saw me as a masculine gay man who he thought would fuck him. He was as straight as any model on Broke Straight Boys but he was a total bottom.

So I fully understand that straight guys who have sex with men come in all different varieties, but I only like the masculine one's who are all about getting pleased by a man, not a straight guy who "gives up the cheeks". lol Different strokes for different folks.

Uh jonny !
Still got it bad for Jonny, eh Med????? lol

I like to check the top rated models periodically and noticed that "your" Jonny is still on the first page in the third row, ranked at #17 all time. Pretty good for a straight boy with a "limited repertoire" (By the way. He's on my favorites list too).

Here's a reminder of your boy in all his glory! :001_cool:

Some of the guys honestly do come to the studio straight, but it doesn't end up that way once they're done. I've spoken with David Hardy a few times on Twitter, and he maintains that he was absolutely straight when he did his first scene at Broke Straight Boys, but based on how he's tweeting now, he's...less so. I do think quite a few of the guys learned to open their horizons after performing in scenes. Perhaps they always had those feelings and just never acted on them, but based on a few interactions I've had with some of these guys offscreen, they seem pretty honest about how things changed for them after their Broke Straight Boys experience.

Good observation geraldd, and based on your twitter interactions with David, you are getting the info right from a former model. I do agree with you when you said, "Perhaps they always had those feelings and just never acted on them". That is a common theme going back to the forum postings from original director, David on Broke Straight Boys-1, and Sha has said similar things. I do find human sexuality such a fascinating topic, and perhaps that is why I joined this site originally. I love the concept of straight guys going gay either exclusively for pay or perhaps for deeper reasons in their inner thoughts.

Hi Gerald,

I had a similar experience with another Broke Straight Boys model. He's one who goes way back to the prehistoric period of the site. Maybe somewhere around 2004-2006. haha So I'll include a pic with the name. I'll preface this by saying that some conversations I have been fortunate enough to have with a tiny handful of models will never ever be shared. Either in writing or face to face with others. I treat them as I would with the confidences of beloved close friends. Those kinds of personal conversations are a sacred trust.

I don't feel I'm betraying any confidences by sharing a very similar story about this other model. He's not ashamed, closeted or secretive about going to the gay side. He freely shares his sexual orientation without reticence or reservation. Apparently he got into gay porn on what he considered to be a strictly gay-for-pay basis. Back in the day, good quality gay-for-pay porn performances with major studios could pay a relative fortune in a very short period of time compared to now. And he did work for other big name studios besides just Broke Straight Boys

His exact quote to me was, "I started out straight, and ended up gay."

And he was quite earnest in this. He totally self-identified as straight at one time.

That was Aiden Knox.

On my iPad and iPhone, I need to keep logging on to the site every time I want to check the forum, and the sign on screen starts with a shot of Allen Michaels, perhaps one of the straightest guys to ever appear here. I just checked out his BTS with Sha and the one time he got naked for us in a solo from back in June 2017. His story which I do believe was 100% true is that the drove his buddy, Dorian Kross to the studio and Sha saw Allen and convinced him to do a little interview and to get naked and jerk off for some cash.

For anyone unfamiliar with Allen this is his page with the interview and the jerk off scene.

I love that Broke Straight Boys uses his image on the sign on page. He never did it with another guy on the site, but has to be one of the straightest of any model to appear here, if even in a very limited way.

Mike I agree with U, I real str8 bguy will only do solos or JO with another guy, notr looking at then other guy

As there is very little going on the forum presently, I am searching through some old threads. This one has some interesting discussions and some pics of former Broke Straight Boys models. I sure wish that more people would contribute to discussions here, as that is what once made this forum great and hopefully can do so again at some point.

Thanks for sharing . What does "less so" mean, does it mean he is now bi?

Great thread Mike...here is my viewpoint on this thread from my experience. Most of the guys that apply for porn are gay, bisexual and curious about gay sex. All or most really heterosexual straight guys will NOT do gay porn. Again, it all goes back to the Kinsey Scale. I think the money is the deciding factor.

You have a guy, horned up, young and good looking. No job or struggling financially that lives in a very rural community there whole entire life. Doesn't come from a very good family. Father & Mother most likely divorced or Father in Jail for drugs and abuse.

This same guy, watches porn on the internet and thinks to himself, I am good looking and I can do this...so this guy applies to studios, In today's world these type of guys are looking to make money and catch there "15mins" of fame using social media. They see others making great money and bragging about how much money they can earn doing porn.

So they apply. They go through the interview process, and to find out, they have an open mind but never had sex with another guy before but willing to do so. They get to the studio and they try it and make money and they realize its not that bad, so they continue applying and they learn from other models and working with other studios, to create there own social media and within a few months, this guy finds fame and recognition from filming gay porn.

Some of these guys, will do gay porn, but they will not kiss, they will not rim, they will not suck dick, they will not swallow cum. Some just want to top, some are willing to try bottoming, some try bottoming and enjoy it and prefer to bottom.

This guy will go from studio to studio, claiming they are not gay....he is only doing it for the money. They will make it very clear to the directors, the camera person, the owners, and the other models they are not gay. Some of these guys have girlfriends and date girls...some are married, some have kids.

The question is? Was he always gay? Was he in the closet? Was he bisexual or bi-curios? Did he lie about himself to get the job?

Everything I wrote above happens all the time in this industry, and more currently today. They can film here first, then go to studio to studio and make the rounds claiming whatever, whatever they want to consider themselves...so the question is?

What do you believe? How do you handle a model like this? What is the studios suppose to do in these cases?
