They also announced Tampa that they will remain in quarantine till 12 April. In the UK it was announced last night that Boris has now caught the Cornavirus, so has the Health Secretary and the Chief medical officer for the UK. They have also turned the ExCel centre into a 4000 bed Hospital called the Nightingale. Similar plans are happening for Birmingham and Manchester. It's just grim news day after day.

It is very scary. It sounds like Boris had the same initial reluctance to do anything that Trump had. You left Prince Charles off the list. I hope neither he or Boris exposed the Queen. My uncle just past away, Alzheimer’s not the virus. They can only have 8 people at the funeral. My parents are both older and at high risk and it’s a 4 hour drive but they won’t even be able to get all of the grand kids at funeral. Can you imagine a state funeral during this mess?

In a bit of foreshadowing of what could be on our way, let's keep in mind the population differences between the U.S. and Spain and Italy. The U.S. has a population of nearly 330 million people. Italy has a population of around 60 million people. Spain has a population of around 46 million. If these smaller population countries lose "only" 500+ people per day for months on end, you can only imagine the upheaval that will cause for society.
The U.S. medical establishment is somewhat relying on a British document put out within the last 2 weeks. Here is a synopsis of some of its predictions. These predictions are based on successful very aggressdive meassures of self-isolation, social distancing, along with well-equipped and well-staffed hositals.
