My advise is to get vaccinated for COVID, influenza, and all the prescribed safety precautions, but go out roll the dice, and live your life. You can’t live wrapped up in bubble wrap.

Yup, got 4 or 5 COVID shots onboard and been getting the flu for well over 20 years LOL I'm a bad boy though when it comes to the recommended vaccines for gay men, I still need my hep a/b vaccines and HPV (though at my age, it's questionable as to efficacy)

Yes. That is good news. Of course it doesn't mean that Covis is gone. Or that some other deadly variant might not pop up later. So we just have to be vigilant.

On another note, the federal government will no longer cover the cost (free of charge) of the last Bivalent booster after May 11th. Our insurance plans should pick up at least some of the cost of any boosters after that. Hopefully at 100%. For those without insurance though, they can expect to pay full market price.

It has been a terrible three years but now COVID joins the other diseases and illnesses that we need to try to prevent like the flu which kill unvaccinated folks every year. And there are always new infections that pop up like Ebola and Swine Flu that come to mind. But COVID was so sudden and deadly but much like HIV but it can now be controlled and cured.
