Jawked, it was started by Boyfun 2 years ago. It is suppose to pit jocks against twinks. From your selections of sites I am not sure it is a site you would like it.What is the new site that you added?
Thanks. I'll give it a look.Jawked, it was started by Boyfun 2 years ago. It is suppose to pit jocks against twinks. From your selections of sites I am not sure it is a site you would like it.
Next Door merged with other studios to form a mega site on August 22nd. That seems to be an ongoing trend in gay porn in recent years.Next Door Studios is a site that I used to frequently subscribe to, but I haven't in a long time. Just don't like their content.
Thanks. I'll give it a look.
Which makes Boyfun and Broke Straight Boys so unique. Boyfun has, as I wrote elsewhere, created a second site back a year or so ago & has grown better over time from its inception in the late 90's.Next Door merged with other studios to form a mega site on August 22nd. I agree with you regarding sites that do not allow downloads or charge a higher price for a subscription that does allow downloads. I won't subscribe to them. Thanks Mark for that explanation. I have been consuming porn for many years, pretty much since I turned 18 in 1997. I have seen many sites come and go. Onlyfans, fansley etc definitely have changed things, but for me I really appreciate the quality of studio porn. A lot of the models don't use good lighting and camera angles, so while I have subbed to probably a hundred OF models, I have only 1 that I have kept a sub going for almost 2 years now. I chat with that model frequently and just about normal day to day shit. Everyone else got boring or had shit quality videos.
As for piracy, I personally never have nor will share content that I download. (I went to school for programming and a teachers talk about piracy stuck with me as I didn't want anything I wrote stolen.) That being said, I don't sub to sites that I can't download from (I will not pay a separate fee either to download per video). I may have a data hording problem as I have like 9 TB of porn saved LOL I probably need a porn pact with my bestie to have him nuke it if something ever happened to me (and yes, I have a 3-2-1 backup of that data ) Onlyfans just enabled DRM on their platform and I won't sub to anyone using that either, if I'm paying a good chunk of money for a custom video, I want to be able to enjoy it offline too. So I see even more loss of subs there.
I don't know where things are heading in the industry, but I thank you for your honesty. It surprises me to hear that Helix isn't paying their webmasters, if they are in trouble, a big storm is brewing...
Definitely. some sites such Broke Straight Boys are far better than trash sites like Onlyfans but sadly many named established site that have changed ownership often are a shadow of what they were. Even some who have not changed ownership fall in that category. On the positive side there are still quality sites as well.I agree with you regarding sites that do not allow downloads or charge a higher price for a subscription that does allow downloads. I won't subscribe to them.
Also, as I said in another thread, I don't have a favorable opinion of Only Fans, Fansly, Just For Fans, etc. In many cases, the content creators charge a PPV fee for their videos in addition to the monthly fee. In many cases the PPV fee can be ridiculously high for what you get. If they don't have PPV content, all they do have are videos that run for only a few seconds. Just not worth it for me so I let my subscriptions expire. My preference is for studio porn.
A straight guy I know is doing only fans and doing well but unfortunately he is not doing much in the gay department. Pretty much gay baiting guys so you subscribe but then you have to pay more to see anything lol. You don't even need to do that because it will eventually catch up with you. A lot of fans come back and check to see updates so he is pretty much screwing himself long term.
I agree completely. That's another reason why I won't subscribe to Only Fans.Yup, I had several do that (teasers only). One of them even posted a tip $x dollars and I'll send a few free videos and it never came, i reached out a few times (he read every chat) and blew me off so I unsubscribed and then he had the balls to DM me asking me to resubscribe LOL. I just blocked him and chalked it up to a "scratcher ticket that didn't win". I posted on several message boards about my experience and I hope it hurt his OF numbers. Scamming people is some of the lower forms of dirt bags.
Thanks, David, for the insight.I have had my Twitter account (X) for about 2 years now. I noticed for many years that all these models would advertise themselves on Twitter promoting and marketing their OF or JFF content. But lately, I have noticed a decrease in models promoting their content on Twitter for members to sign up to their OF or JFF sites. Perhaps it is me? But are others noticing this?
Out of curiosity, we just finished filming another group of guys for Broke Straight Boys I asked them if they were still collaborating with others for filming for OF or JFF or doing any filming, the feedback I got from them was eye-opening and surprising.
All of them agreed that filming themselves after doing a bunch of solos, the members canceled the membership because they were tired of watching nothing but boring solos. The other comments were, that when they try to collaborate with others, nobody wants to meet up and film. They also mentioned STDs, nobody wants to get themselves tested and their main concern is hooking up with a person that is not tested. The cost for them to test, and share an AirBnB, and the cost of travel and food has become too expensive for them. Filming with others is becoming more complicated than ever.
One of the models had content but didn't know how to edit it and didn't have the time or the patience to figure it out. Many have had memberships to OF or JFF and those sites canceled them for no reason, and they have tried to open up a new account but were denied for reasons unknown to them. These social media sites are making it very difficult for individuals to sign up.
As you know, we bring the models to get tested. The clinic specializes in testing everyone in the adult industry. We do full panel testing on all the models that appear on Broke Straight Boys and College Boy Physicals sites. While we were in the clinic both Eddie and I were waiting for our guys to finish up with their STD tests. While waiting, other models both male and female are there as well. One female model was so pissed off, she was telling us that she no longer does OF because she had $45K in her account, OF closed her account and kept her money. I am hearing this across the board from other models.
I just the fade of filming for social media is cooling down and hopefully this will help with us recruiting models, but time will tell.
It seems to be a common tactic where the subscription price is low, but then you have to pay for each video individually. The price of many of these videos is greater than $1.00 per minute.A straight guy I know is doing only fans and doing well but unfortunately he is not doing much in the gay department. I just checked the Helix site. They called one of their former models (Keagan Case) out of retirement.
Hi Jay...here is the problem or issue. Broke Straight Boys has nothing to do with Chaos Men site. Unfortunately, all the models that you see appearing there on that site and Broke Straight Boys we use the same talent agent for recruiting models. What’s going on with Chaos Men using so many of the Broke Straight Boys current lineup? Im not a member of Chaos but I do visit other sites to see who they currently have. It’s like Chaos bought the Atlanta house and started filming scenes with Broke Straight Boys current models. Andy, Ryan, Archie, Brock, Brody, Amone. Seriously? Is there a trade off or partnership of some kind? Just about every new scene over there features a Broke Straight Boys model.
