While I am not particularly enthralled with the current crop of model’s on the site, I am a huge fan of the whole history of Broke Straight Boys and the Top Ten list is a great way to evaluate the fan’s favorites over time and not just currently. I looked at the list again this morning and there is a change from yesterday to today in that Connor who was #10 yesterday has been replaced by Gino Zanetti today as #10.

Based on the dates they first appeared on the site, Adam Baer at #9 has the honor of the most longevity first arriving on November 11, 2012. Next is #8, Benjamin Dover from May 10, 2016. And third is #1 Jake Spencer from September 29, 2018. The newest in the top ten is Gino at #10 from October 4, 2020.

Stats and “surveys” have always interested me from the top songs, to television ratings, to sports ranks to Broke Straight Boys rankings as well.

Hmmm. I like Jake, Mikey, but do you like this scene with Cory? It’s one of my least favorite Jake scenes but mostly for Cory’s performance. I like Cory too but prefer him on top. Could be. I have my own personal assumption…lol. I think he just wasn’t that into the other talent. I know that sounds awful to say but I have picked up on little things that make me think that. It’s a shame he was never paired with Benjamin or Jos Alvarez or some of the other regulars during that time.

I just checked and I see that Ricky did five partnered scenes. His highest rated was with Jake at 4.74. Next highest is a tie with Ethan Ericsson and Xavier at 4.57, followed by Jonny Cox at 4.53 and John Henry at 4.48.

I know that you are talking about body language and other non-verbal signs, but I am using the ratings as often if a model is into his partner it does show in the ratings too. Refresh my memory Jay. Was Broke Straight Boys Ricky’s first studio and has he appeared elsewhere since?

Yeah, he’s been with other studios. I know he did Sketchysex/Fraternity X and Men.com. but not sure what else. I see that it was Jake you were talking about. I just wish I could find out if he is doing okay. From his initial interview with Sha, he told us that he came from a rough part of Chicago and being a pretty boy, I’m sure he learned to handle himself and I was concerned that after filming gay porn, he might have been wise to get away from the old hood. If he ever responded to Mark or Sha’s emails, I would love to know that he is okay. That’s the thing that “worked” for me when Broke Straight Boys had my kind of guys. I cared for them as young men and people and a life update is as important to me as a sexual scene.

I included #11, because Johnny Forza is one of the old timers and it is harder to maintain a high rating the further from your scenes. The "oldest" on the list are Johnny & Adam from 2012, and Tanner from 2015 and then Benjamin from 2016. I wonder if we will have new stars in the upcoming months. Time will tell.

I was talking about ratings on another thread today and decided to check the latest all time “standings”, but this time I excluded any models introduced in 2021 for the reason we talked about, that it takes time for the votes to accumulate to get a true reading.

So as of January 9, 2021, these are the Top Ten of models prior to 2021.

I find this stuff most interesting…….but that’s just me. lol

Revised Top 10 - January 9, 2021

I went back to recheck my stats that eliminated recent additions as their pool of votes was smaller than more established models, and realized that I should not have excluded Nico Nova as he was introduced March 10, 2021 and has been on the site for ten months which is almost a full year. I also totally screwed up on Jack Andram who debuted October 4, 2020. (In the same scene with Gino). I am still excluding the guys who started in November of 2021, (the last two and a half months), or later. They are Justin 12/15/21, Darron 11/5/21, Ashton 12/21/21, Izzy 11/22/21 and Duncan 12/24/21. Those are just my arbitrary but-offs. But with the addition of Nico and Jack, here is my adjusted list for today.

Statistically speaking the longer a model has been on the site, the more impressive his percentage is for it comes from a larger voting pool than the newbies, which is why I am excluding the last six months from my list).

I always find it interesting to check these rankings periodically and while many are very close from #1 Adam at 4.61 to #10 Junior at 4.53, I do love the combination of all eras of Broke Straight Boys reflected in these viewer rankings.

I do love that Broke Straight Boys keeps all of the oldest and all of the newest and keeps them together in the rankings. Most interesting stuff to me, and as another1 seems to be out of the "statistician" business, lol, it's a dirty job, but someone has to do it. lol

Just for fun, I went back and see that I started this thread in December 2016. I just added in red the models still on the top 10 as of today, April 2022, with their current place.

Only counting guys who have been here for at least six months, here are the current Top 10. Instead of showing their numerical rating this time, I am including the month and year they were introduced to Broke Straight Boys:

(A tie for # 1, but Jake is listed first so apparently taken to further percentage points, Jake edges Darron, but the two are both all time favorites for me.)

A few observations:

Adam is the longest running model on the Top 10 list as he debuted on Broke Straight Boys in 2012. Followed by Ben who debuted in 2016. Another personal favorite of mine, surprisingly would be #11 if I took it one place further and that is Gino Zanetti with a 4.62, followed by two all time favorites in Johnny Forza (from 2012) - 4.62 & Ronan Kennedy (from 2014) - 4.61.

As I’ve often said I do this because I’ve always loved surveys and Top Lists since I was a kid, from the top rated TV shows to the Top 25 weekly music surveys to the Top 25 College Basketball rankings each week during season. I hope I’ve been clear that these aren’t my ratings but taken from The Boys page, ranked by “Highest Rated”. Anyone can check these numbers themselves anytime. But being a ratings nerd, I enjoy periodically checking and then reporting back here.
