I know that this is an ongoing conversation but please explain how Simon West who has done one scene is rated #3?

Good question TouchKrazy with a simple answer, what used to be called arithmetic. The highest rated model has the highest percentage of votes, so take Simon for example, lets guess 100 people voted for him, and if he got a lot of five star votes, that explains his current 4.73, but Jake who started in 2018, might have 10,000 votes, (we are not privy to the actual number of votes, so this is just an example.) But Jake’s current 4.74 is worth a lot more than a guy who did one scene last week. If you go back in this thread, you’ll see that whenever I list the Top 10 models, I always discount anyone who debuted within the last year, as their percentage is skewed with so many less members participating in the voting.

And this is why I especially appreciate guys like Calhoun, Sky and Casey Owens from 2019, Ben Dover fron 2016, or especially Adam Baer and Johnny Forza from 2012 all being on the first page. These guys must have hundreds times more votes to attain their high ratings. These are the true Hall of Famers of Broke Straight Boys, our GOATS, (greatest of all time).

But Jake Spencer from 2018 is a very well deserved #1.

That's plain crazy, I would think the Broke Straight Boys scoring system has a flaw.

Well once more people vote the score changes. BUT, there are far less members now than 10 years ago. So a new model today can have a handful of votes and it only takes one or two very low votes to tank them. So Simon West has mostly high scores.
I did a little experiment to give an example. Syrian Thomas is brand new. At the time of me writing this he had a 4.57. I dropped my 5 for him to a 1 and the score dropped to 4.39. That is a HUGE drop. And very noticeable. I did the same with Jake Spencer who is at 4.74. I dropped my 5 to a 1 and his score didn’t change at all. Of course I returned my scores to 5 for both models but I wanted to see the difference in a model from the past and a model from today. Obviously over time all the new models will accumulate more votes which will seem more accurate and fair. Maybe a year.

With Jay reviving this thread recognizing the re-emergence of the great Jake Spencer , to the top spot, I felt compelled to compile the current Top 10. Again as Jay agreed to include the past year is not “accurate and fair”, based on the smaller number of votes compiled. And so I am excluding the following five models introduced in the past calendar year, : James Blond, Andy Adler, Simon West, Bruce Garcia and Vincent Grey.

And so here is the current Top 10 as of 11/27/24.

3- John Jones, 4.71
4-Calhoun, 4.71
5-Ashton Silvers, 4.70
6-Darron, 4.69
7-Harrison Todd, 4.68
8-Benjamin Dover, 4.66

And I especially recognize the staying power of Benjamin from 2016 and especially the great Adam Baer from 2012.

That’s why new models ratings can’t be taken seriously. One or two 1 votes knock them down. Gotta wait at least a year in my opinion for a significant rating

Back when they released scenes at a set time (10 pm), there were members that would score the scene without even watching it. The scene would release at 10 pm and the scene would have a 3 at 10:01. So frustrating.

Let’s say Simon has only 10 votes and most of those votes are 4s and 5s, it only takes one person to come in and give him a 1 to completely knock him down a huge amount. Also, I don’t think a models stats page rating has anything to do with what we rate a model at the end of a scene. It’s solely on what you rate them on their personal stats page. I think Broke Straight Boys can see what the models rating are in their scenes but we can’t.
