Tampa...another great post!!! I agree with your point about returning models pushing the envelope. If they are going to come back..then I should be a bit more daring and have them do other stuff as well. The models that are returning, I did ...I pushed some of them to there limits..remember I can only do so much with these guys.
I can get them drunk...LOL. I'm sure they will do more but unfortunately I can't have them drunk and film them at the same time.
As for CF and there model Lucas...in his defense I will admit that the hardest part of any directors/producers job is to let go a model. Lucas like many of our
Broke Straight Boys models forms a bond/friendship. We mentor these guys and we are more to a father and mother to them then there real moms & dads. We listen to them, we offer them advice...we see them grow mentally and sexually.
We get to know the models on a level that Mark and the rest of management does not see or understand. Out of the production group...I'm the only person that can separate my feelings...but Eddie is like "mom" to the models and I have to admit..its sad when you don't have a model come back anymore. Its the worse thing about this job. Its very sad and upsetting so perhaps the reason why CF does keep Lucas around is for this very reason.
Well personally, there are certain models at
Broke Straight Boys (Tyler,
Diesal, etc.) that I don't think any of the members would get sick of no matter how many scenes you hire them for, as long as they don't start studio hopping and being seen in everyone else's scenes too.
Also, some of the other models who refuse to wander too far across the line (refuse to kiss, etc.), should be "retired" before the guys who will do more than them are willing to do in my opinion.
For example,
Mike Robbins. He's a great guy with a great personality, and he seems really cool and like a very down to earth and nice guy. He's also very cute, sexy, hot, and he looks amazing naked. However, he has made it clear that he will never be going any further than he has already gone, and he has also made it clear that he will never do any kissing.
As a result, I am bored with him already and never even watch his scenes anymore because I know that he'll never do anything more than he's already done.
This is nothing against him personally, like I said he seems like a really great guy. BUT, business is business and if you don't want to push the envelope any, your fans are going to quickly become bored with you and move on to others who are willing to do more.
I can definitely understand how it would become very difficult and upsetting to get close to these guys on a personal level only to have them leave the "family" so to speak, but that's all a part of the biz like you have mentioned Dave.
CF's decision to keep Lucas around for decades on end (in porn years) because he can't let go of his obvious fascination for him, is probably a very bad business decision. I know that in spite of the fact that the CF bundled membership (amateurcollegemen.com along with amateurcollegesex.com in one monthly recurring billing/username and password) is quite expensive, I believe around $50.00 per month or so, I for one have spent hundreds of dollars over the last several years in recurring billings that I paid to that website.
But I got so sick of seeing Lucas in every other scene that I finally cancelled my membership permanently about a year ago, and haven't been back since. Which to be honest, my annoyance with Lucas doesn't stem as much from me getting bored with him years ago, as it does with the fact that I just can't stand Lucas' own infatuation with himself. You can tell just by watching him for 30 seconds or less that he has always been madly in love with himself, and is his own biggest fan.
My personal opinion is that the management at CF have lost a lot of long-time members (like myself) over the years, by making poor business decisions based on their own personal feelings about certain talent that they just can't seem to "retire" from the site.
Read the reviews of that site on some of the blogs and porn site review sites out there, and you'll see that many others feel the same way about them constantly using the same models over and over again year after year...yet the new guys are only used for awhile but then they permanently disappear into the mist of time (again, in porn years), never to be seen again.
Which would be ok, if it was a site whose niche was for those who want to see the same 3 or 4 guys fucking occasionally new guys for years on end, but that's not the premise behind CF.
I think that most members of
Broke Straight Boys would be perfectly ok with bringing back the popular guys year after year until they just get too old to perform anymore, and the majority of the members would be happy with that...again, as long as they don't start studio hopping. That is definitely the key, at least for me!
BUT, anyone who refuses to go beyond a certain level in terms of what they're willing to do in front of the cameras for $$$ are simply going to have a much shorter shelf life than those who are willing to go all the way and do anything that's asked of them.
For me, kissing is a HUGE turn on. I absolutely LOVE kissing. Anyone who refuses to kiss, I'm bored with them right away no matter how hot they are.
And it seems to be a rather commonality among many of us, because you'll notice that any scenes that include kissing always score really high on the popularity scale.
Tyler's last scene with Dustin (may he rest in peace) scored the all-time high of any scene on
Broke Straight Boys, at least as of yesterday anyway. But not only did they kiss, but they did it often, and they did it well! They didn't just give each other a peck on the lips and try to keep from laughing (which is NOT hot, when the guys start laughing when they kiss), but they used some tongue, and Tyler even started rubbing his hands down Dustin's back as they kissed, which seemed to indicate that he enjoyed their kissing, and also that he is a great kisser to boot!
I'm disappointed when I see how little big dicked Michael kisses, especially since he's actually gay. Kissing = HOT, and guarantees high voter turnout and high ratings on the scene, and helps propel the model to much higher levels of fandom and adoration lol.
The
Diesal and Jimmy scenes, were INCREDIBLE. Not only did they do a lot of kissing, but their chemistry on camera was incredible, and almost palpable. And I think we all know that the camera literally robs people of hotness. The camera adds pounds, subtracts passion, and tends to maximize blemishes at the same time it's recording the action. But in the
Diesal and Jimmy scenes, their chemistry still managed to shine through, and those were done way before the move to HD!
A couple more of the red hot scenes here on
Broke Straight Boys, the unforgettable ones, were the old Erik and Ross scenes. Too bad those two didn't come back many MANY more times to do scenes.
But I'm guessing it's because after they were on
Broke Straight Boys, they were also on many other sites too, so they probably weren't asked back after they started studio hopping.
Another old red hot
