Which Tyler were you speaking of in 2008 I am sure I could look through all the Tylers and see which one was shooting in 2008 however I just want to ask you?

Wow, what a great thread from the very beginning of the forum, even before I was posting. And from reading the first few pages, I find these two fascinating posts to me from guys who later became among the most prolific posters here ever, Jon, in what was apparently his first post on the forum.
And Tampa not being the same "sweet and kind" Tampa that he later became. (In fact he was talking about Tyler the same way he later talked abut another model, who he felt was over-used.
).
I'm taking the morning off from work, (yes Peter......again.....lol) and so I will be getting back to reading more from this thread later. One of my favorite things about Broke Straight Boys is that all of the content of the scenes as well as the forum is still available for us "archivists" to peruse from time to time.

Yes. As Mikey says, I was referring to Tyler Evans here. I did become much more diplomatic in my posts as time went on. Although I've relapsed a few times here and there over the years. lol And on occasion I may still post something that I later regret because I decide it was too blunt or harsh. My so-called "Sender's Remorse." This may have been post number 10 or 20 for me since it's from December of 2008. I had just joined Broke Straight Boys at the end of October for what I intended to be a one month membership as a birthday present to myself.
Many members absolutely adored Tyler and practically worshipped the ground he walked on. In the eyes of many here he could do no wrong. I never saw what all the fuss was about. To my tastes I saw him as a very average nondescript looking young guy who just happened to have a big dick. Obviously that put me in the minority in here at the time. He had a rabid fan base though. I guess whenever they passed out the Tyler Kool-Aid I was playing hooky that day. haha
I once told Diesal and Cousin Mikey that if I saw Tyler (or more precisely, a guy who looked like him) in a grocery store...I'd give him a quick once-over and keep right on walking down the potato chip aisle. LOL When I said that, Diesal burst out laughing. haha
Deep in the forum archives there are a few semi-private fan pages where members joined up to talk more privately (off of the main forum) about their favorite models. You could/can(?) post photos to it and post comments, in a format almost like a forerunner to Twitter. The one created for Tyler in here was aptly named The Tyler Worship Center. I kid you not! haha
To put the thread conversation quoted above more into more context though, we long-time members would point out that back then we got only 1 new video update per week. It was always on Friday night midnight. All week long for 7 days we were given a thumbnail photo and description of the upcoming scene. This particular week we were told that on Friday night we would get to see a scene with CJ. I really had the hots for CJ back then. haha I'm pretty sure it was this one. The official posted release date doesn't match up. But anyway... We'll say it was this photo and scene:
CJ and Billy
All day Friday afternoon (after 6.75 days) that photo of a CJ scene stayed up. Then at midnight or a little before, everything changed and this scene was posted for viewing in its place. (Again, the dates don't match up. But I'm pretty sure it was this one.)
A solo scene of Axel
I thought to myself that it wasn't fair at all that they changed the scene at the last minute. But at least next week I'd get to see the CJ scene... Nah! The scene posted early that Saturday morning for the following Friday wasn't the CJ scene at all. It was a scene with Tyler and some other random model. At that time Tyler was already being shown in scenes in intervals of what seemed to me to be at least once or twice a month. (Keeping in mind of course that we only got 4 new scenes per month.) And of course I was one of the few who wasn't into Tyler at all.
I didn't like the Axel scne. I was pretty sure I would not like the Tyler scene. So I was ticked off royally and still wondering how many more weeks (1, 2, 3??) that I might have to wait to see the original CJ scene we had been teased with already. I was also still on the fence as to whether I would even stay with the site. I had already stayed 2 months past my intended one month subscription and it was very expensive for me back then. In 2008 the pay sites could still charge a lot of money.
Of course we all know that I did stay. lol There were a very small handful of times where the upcoming scenes got switched on us again due to some technical glitch, marketing decision or whatever. Fortunately in well over especially the last 6 years now, if it ever does happen, it's an extreme rarity. And then of course they eventually went from posting 1 new video per week, to posting 3!
That was a huge improvement. That, along with the forum, allowed many of us to justify the expense of maintaining an ongoing subscription.

Speaking of posting and later having "sender's remorse", I was wondering if I was out of line after posting your quote from 2008 or 2009 earlier this morning. I was just shocked at how blunt you were back then. I hadn't remembered that you weren't one that swallowed the Tyler kool-aid. Our buddy Slim was the biggest Tyler fan that I remember, and if you recall, he was temporarily banned as he got the address of the studio and mailed a birthday present to Tyler from his home in Spain. I wasn't that obsessed as Slim was, but I was a huge fan of Tyler. And part of his charm for me was that he did look like an ordinary kid in the supermarket, but when we saw him naked with that big dick, and when he got into his "sexual zone" with that glazed look in his eyes, whether he was topping, bottoming or into some heavy duty cocksucking, he turned from mild mannered Clark Kent into super hero Superman. lol
I do love having the history of the forum available to us along with the film archives and between the two as long as there is a Broke Straight Boys, I will remain a member. I apologize if I brought out anything embarrassing. I know a couple of things hidden deep in the archives that could embarrass me and Peter knows about one of them involving something I said to a member in a private message that he and his friend decided to post publicly, so we all have a few skeletons in our closet, so to speak. lol
