Walking Dead

We seem to have several members who are into the TV series Walking Dead. Thought I would start a thread on it so we can discuss the show. I'll start.

My favorite character is Glenn. He started out a very naive young man and has become a strong and determined force to be reckoned with. I believe they are grooming him to become the leader of the group someday, since Rick seems to be loosing it.

I also like Darryl who was a withdrawn, angry young man due to his tormented childhood. He has often shown his kinder side though and makes me think that he could also become leader one day. Of course Rick may bounce back to reality and there would be no reason for a new leader.

I enjoy the Walking Dead, not quite as much as Shameless (USA). I enjoy it much more when there is less talk, more action, more Zombies... Last season was very much too much emotion and talking amongst themselves. Hopefully, this season is off to a better start.

I don't have cable so I have to wait until the season is released on DVD so I can watch it. I liked both seasons but at times season 2 did drag on a bit. I thought I had read that this will be the last season, which makes me sad but I'm interested to see how they end it, if they find a safe place to live or if they all end up dieing?

I think the governor has to be eventually taken out. It won't be too soon though. He does make for good TV. I do think they are setting Rick up to either be killed or go completely bonkers. Glen was shown to "take command" of the prison in Rick and Darryl's absence and I seem to remember Darryl saying about leading the group. Oh, and on the previews it showed Rick and Carl talking and Carl asked his dad to stop being the leader. So maybe Rick will stay, but only as an advisor or something.

Honey, you can watch whatever you want to watch. But why lock the governor in the prison, when that is the safest place to be from the walkers? They need to kill the bastard and lock themselves back in the prison. You got the hots for Darryl?

I do think Darryl is hot, but he needs a comb. Doesn't one part of the prison have walkers wondering around in it? That would be a perfect place for the Governor.

You're right (as usual). There is a section (maybe more?) that has zombie prisoners still walking around. I say chain his ass to a tree and let him wait for the walkers to find him.
