I feel for him. My youngest, had all the shots for Covid but got it bad. He did not have fever but said it was like the worst flu ever. He is better but poor soul like me is disabled. It has been a bad year for him having lost his wife early in the year.

Damn eyes! I hope this works. I seldom get depressed but yesterday late & today I am. I tried to make new friend and seemed to have failed, Any way as AI have said before real friends are rare And among the worst things is finding out a person just used you but worst than that when they disappear and you never find out why which has happened several times and still haunts after many years. Sorry for bumming everyone out.
Glad to say my eyes have finally recovered. Let it be a lesson try not to abuse them when you are youn it may come back to bite you when you get older!

If you are talking about an online friend, never set your expectations too high. It is too easy for someone to manipulate and use you, if you do not keep your guard up. But it can still be painful. I think that we’ve all been there but it still hurts. Sorry you had to go through this.
True , the key is when they ask or hint at money. No this had nothing to do with that & was at my initiative. It was my fault & I accept all the responsibility. Is it not better to try and fail than not try at all but be left wondering.
One other thing my oldest and dearest friend was though the net & my relationship with Jeff the same. You just never know but the one thing is ready for the worst, anything better then comes as a positive, that was my mistake.

Exactly my attitude to enter any personal online encounter with skepticism and caution, and to hopefully be pleasantly surprised by a positive outcome. We are never too old to not be able to learn from our mistakes. Be more careful next time.

What is everyone up to?
Right now I'm cautiously optimistic about my health issues that plagued me through most of last year. Now that I'm getting mobile again I'm looking forward to both getting out more, and tackling some home projects and some deeper housecleaning than I couldn't have done hobbling around on a broken foot. haha
In short, not much to write home about. But I'm happy for the fresh start of a new year, and hopefully better health going forward.

I,finally got to see an optometrist who said I had the healthiest eyes he saw yesterday & I had no need to get glasses. Just very dry eyes & just need to keep then wet with a washcloth but I still have issues seeing print at times. Now if only the rest of me was so healthy!

Work, work and work. Sorry I did not get to testing yet, I'll try again this weekend. I just got home from the hospital from a CT scan I needed. But other than that it's been rain all week since Monday. I want to see the sun again LOL I've been enjoying my walks outside too much and I haven't been able to do them with the weather lately.
