I really haven't read much of the threads on this post. I've just read the most recent ones.

I am glad Leo and Chris are posting but unfortunately we don't have many members that participate on this forum. What I've been doing in the new scenes (that haven't been posted) I am reminding members to come and check out the Broke Straight Boys forum so I think with me talking about it during the before interview, my thinking is that we can get more members participating on this forum.

Although the economy is bad, I think right now there are plenty of members that just come here, watch the porn...and then wait until the next update. I have over 1500 followers between my Youtube Channel and Twitter account and Facebook, have reached out to me that never post here on the Broke Straight Boys forum. When I ask them to come here, they are not interested in coming here with NO specific reason.

One of you guys posted that some of the models that only do OF or JFF sites are not doing it as much. I overhear some other models talk and I think a lot of these models (especially the newer ones) are being very cautious. For one, OF & JFF sites its all the same, you see one hot model over & over again jerking off, or playing with a Dildo and that its the same ole same ole so after a while these guys are loosing members because it all looks the same.

Also which is a huge deal is that most of these guys on OF/JFF sites, collaborate with each other without getting tested and they are all having unsafe sex. Right now in our country, STD's are on the raise. You know how many models I here got some STD from filming with other guys for social media. So I think the issue with having unsafe, unprotected sex without being tested is a huge deal breaker for these guys and they are cutting back on filming with each other (at least the smarts ones are doing that) and I think less and less guys are really placing the effort into doing it because of the fact doing social media is a full time job and also very unsafe sex.

I know something is happening because in the past few months we are getting really hot guys applying and lots of them are not interested in doing social media. The current mood I am hearing now is they rather do "studio" work for now, they are getting paid and getting tested and feel much safer in a studio then just meeting up with random guys for sex.

I've heard so many horror stories from models regarding hooking up with other guys to film social media, and too me its not just worth it so I think the tied is changing to benefit the studios, slow changes are most welcome and I am excited for you guys to see some of the newer guys and changes as well.

As for this forum, we can't lead a horse to water and make them drink. I hope we get some members that want to participate here on this forum.

I mentioned in another post about where I was ripped apart on Reddit for posting on question about a young man that had a bareback encounter and was wondering about his risk. One of the hecklers was actually a porn star that said while what I said was true, that his risk was very very low (I advised that he should go see a medical professional to be evaluated if PEP would be recommended, and said that PrEP only protects the person taking it as you can never really be sure that the other random was taking their PrEP prescription correctly). This same pornstar had released a video of him taking nearly 10 guys loads raw not too long ago. I'm not here to shame anyone on what they choose to do , but don't tell me I'm wrong in the same sentence that you say I'm right. I just ended up deleting my posts, I'm done arguing with idiots. I don't have much spare time these days and I'd rather spend it doing productive things.

Don't get me wrong, I love watching bareback, but when it is done as safely as possible. I feel so bad for these young guys who are just trusting random people with their health and it pains me on every post I read about another guy catching HIV so young because the trend is anti-condom right now. I think a good part of it is they never saw what the AIDS epidemic did in the 80s and 90s. They weren't even born yet (the porn star is 22 that I was referring to above).

Forty five old? Damn I am 79what should I feel! At 45 I was not at my physical peak that came at 52 & only ended there because of my cancer. So Chac just try to keep in shape & you can last much much longer, kid!

For the over five years I have been a Broke Straight Boys member, it's rare to see members post on both the scene comments and the Forum to the extent that it seems that there are two categories of Broke Straight Boys members - those who post on the Forum and not the scene comments and visa versa. Often that results in rave ratings for a scene on the scene notes versus much more negative ratings on the Forum. I for one have tried to post for every scene on both, but I apparently am a minority of one or at best of a few. If all of us would make an effort for every scene to post on both the scene notes and the Forum, we would enjoy a lot more activity on both and perhaps come together on our collective ratings of each scene. But it's only a suggestion as ultimately the decision is up to the individual member.

I always post on both & just repeat what I said on the regular site & here. I might add t bit more here. It is very unusual for me to give a low rating and I refuse to be personally insulting. On the regular site I have commented for many years even if I am a Forumite just in the last few years I have been a member since the beginning of Broke Straight Boys

Thanks for posting, David. I know Mikeyank has decided to take a break from the forum and I can’t speak on his behalf. I can only speak for myself. I am also taking a break. I usually start threads for the new scenes so I’m letting any and everyone know that I will no longer be doing that.
I really talked this forum up to Chris Star and was so disappointed at the lack of response to him or Leo. When Adam Baer posts a thread the whole god damn membership comes out and says hello….as do I, because I love Adam just as much as anyone. That same love can be given to others tho.
This forum has become nothing more than a god damn photo album. It’s been overtaken and quite frankly I’m no longer interested in it at all. In fact I’ll probably cancel my membership. I love the scenes and the models and a few of the members but the forum was a big reason why I stayed. Mark worked so hard to improve it and now it’s just gone south. The only positive thing is that I discovered the “ignore” feature two days ago and no longer have to subject myself to bullshit.

Max, you have absolutely nothing to do with my current state of hibernation from active participation here. You are what’s right with the forum. I will continue reading the interesting posts of substance and trying to ignore the fluff threads. Please keep posting and I will keep reading. You are a total breath of fresh air. Perhaps at some point I will be moved to post in a similar way that I used to. But you and your posts are the antithesis of what annoys me.

Quite the opposite. I adore you. I’m just put off by the endless photo albums in 65 different threads. Pictures that aren’t on topic with threads that others created for certain reasons and absolutely no concern for others. Complete selfishness. Sometimes you can’t get to conversations or replies because you have to go through endless pages of photos posted in one single day. Don’t get me wrong….I feel anyone should be able to post what they want but have a single thread or two dedicated to photos.
Also, Max, most people here don’t even like me and that’s my fault. So I’m just taking a break. Pm anytime and I’ll give you my personal email or social media. You’re absolutely lovely and I’m sorry it has come to this. I just can’t handle passive aggressive responses to other people about me. Perhaps this forum, after all the hard work from Mark, needs guidelines so that it is an enjoyable forum for ALL

Nobody has a right to personally insult you or any one else for their tastes or anything else . It is totally wrong I know what I post may not be your cup of tea and respect your opinion even if it is not mine. This forum was once a thriving discussion forum with dozens of active posters or as we called them, “forumites”, (a term coined by original member Slimvintage). Originally the forum was all about this website, Broke Straight Boys and it’s sister sites, College Boy Physicals and College Dudes There was a second forum of non site related topics such as music, politics and pop culture and other subjects. But it was never a forum with literally hundreds of pics of naked guys having sex, largely lifted from competing porn sites of BluMedia every single day.

At one point Mark combined the two forums which to me muddied the waters even more, but again that was before br flooded the forum with literally hundreds of pics per day, and thousands per week. My being a lover of the forum keeps me checking the forum often when I am not working or out of my apartment, and I like to glance at the new posts and be able to see what new has been posted by my fellow members. But this barrage of thousands of pics per week is like “spam” to me. I feel like the forum has been polluted by an endless barrage of non-Broke Straight Boys material and of which I have no desire to see. To me it is like a cancer that has infected my once beloved forum.

I’ve been trying to “pussy foot” around my true feelings, but with Jaybifla expressing similar thoughts on the original sports thread, and quitting the site based on the responses to his in my opinion, very legitimate gripes, I feel the need to clearly state that I 100% agree with him. I’d like to quit the site altogether too, but I love the history of the site, including the great models and directors of the past, as well as the volumes of posts over these last fourteen years.

KGMets has said that the two picture threads in question have 60,000 and 90,000 views, which he says means that these threads are wildly popular, but in actuality every time someone, mainly the two of them view each pic, it gets a view. Those inflated numbers are totally, “fake news” to me.

Mark does weekly threads like, “Hot Boy Fridays” or “Mega Straight Boy” pic threads and has continued Buckeye1 threads like, “Humpday Tales” and “Hot Sex Monday”, but those threads consist of one or two posts with ten or so pics each time. Those are manageable and easy to glance at. The other two threads have hundreds of individual pics and then similarly hundreds of replies to each pic by KGMets which makes for hundreds of “fluff” posts per day. It is way too much for me to scroll through to try to find some substance posts to read and reply to when warranted.

The above is the real reason I had decided to take a break. I love talking about Broke Straight Boys and politics and music and sports teams and players, and the often interesting real lives of the members of the forum, not hundreds of pics of anonymous guys in “sports drag” and then a similar number of “comments” on each pic. It is maddening to me and enough to make me not want to be a part of this community anymore, which is upsetting to me as well.

I feel that Jay made his points very legimately and articulately and I was surprised with how Mark responded. I do not want to personally hurt BR who has said nice things about me. That is why I tried to just bow out gracefully, but reading today’s exchange made me angry and feel the need to say what I really truly feel.

It was the furthest intention to make others unhappy. So after the turmoil I have caused I shall no longer post pictures period only post on other threads as I have been doing. My sole aim was to provide other members something that might like.

Tampa has returned home from his trip. He came down with the flu despite having taken the flu shot. He tested negative for Covid. He is also looking after a couple of relatives who also came down with the flu. I told him you asked for him and he gave me permission to make this post. Hopefully he will be feeling up to posting again soon.
