I'm just bored with the forum! Maybe others are too?? College Dudes porn and the bonus sites keep me here as well as some recent models returning. But all in all it's just boring for me...

I agree. Their is zero models that post anymore except occasionally Ryan. That used to be a big thing and really helped the forums become a fun place. Just imagine if a model like Zander Floyd was posting. Also management almost never responds to questions asked about Broke Straight Boys and models which makes members feel like they don't care. Sha sometimes chips in but it's not often enough.

I miss the posting of the models and the site leaders Mark and Sha. Communicating with the models about their scenes was a lot of fun. The behind the scenes stuff from Sha and Mark are also interesting. The videos should stand alone and prompt discussion, but we have seen the inconsistency of the content and I think that directly impacts the volume of posting. It was announced Cage Kafig is leaving, but even that bit of news did not sparked any comments.

I also miss the greater participation of the models and staff in here Nitefly. I hope they will start participating more. The BTS scenes do help though. It was more difficult for us members to give a lot of positive commentary to the offerings a few months ago. But it's getting easier now. But there's also the fact that summer is quickly on the way and people have more distractions and other hobbies to pursue at this time of year. So our focus and attention gets divided up.

I was raised to tell it like it is, with the bullshit factor being kept to a minimum if used at all. That direct approach some people take personally when it is not personal but pertains to a differing view or an opinion someone else has on a topic. As a result of my Jesuit training, I try to steer clear assiduously of ad hominem verbiage. There have been a few instances where I have slipped and done that, and as soon as I realized it, I publicly apologized. There are instances where people are just too sensitive and see things or infer things that aren't there. And if you are going to participate in a forum, I think one has to have a bit of thick skin.

I understand your point of view Stowe. It can be a cold, cruel and unforgiving world out there at times. Therefore you have to either be tough and roll with the punches, stand tall and be strong, or be left at the curb.

Over my lifetime I've heard apologists for bullies in school say that the bullying toughens kids up and prepares them for the "real" world to be stronger adults. The victim is a weak spineless wimp and the bully is actually doing him/her a favor. But I've also witnessed that some of these now adults are the walking wounded who never truly got over the trauma experienced in their youth. There are some who think that what they experienced then was worse to their wellbeing than many of the things they have to deal with in adulthood.

If we treat the forum like it's a neighborhood where you have to have a thick skin or be prepared to defend yourself at any turn, how many people are seriously willing to pay a monthly fee for that privilege? They already get all of that for free at their jobs, their local clubs, their monthly checkbooks, sometimes from family members as well as many of their other interpersonal relationships. Most people join pay sites with the intention of it being an escape from the rigors of their daily life...and not as a continuation of same. It seems to me that if we want more forum participation by existing members and more new members joining the site/forum and staying around...then we in the forum should each do our part to make it as welcoming and respectful as possible.

I agree with you here, tampa, as long as it is understood that stating one's differing views emphatically and with a minimum of flowery bullshit is not putting people down, rather it is the vigorous challenging or questioning of the person's opinion or viewpoint of whatever issue is at hand.

From the standpoint of actual debates on things like politics, philosophy and so on, I do agree. On subjects like that there is a tendency to come across with strong and forceful opinions. Therefore if one willingly wants to step into that arena, then one has to be ready to hear opposing points of view that may not always be expressed as politely as elsewhere in the forum. As long as it's done without ad hominem attacks and nobody is made to feel personally insulted, that's fine. The distinction being though that participation in conversations like that are totally voluntary. If someone doesn't want to wade into those types of discussions, they don't have to. They can bow out, ignore it and pursue much lighter (or more personally interesting) conversation and interaction elsewhere.

There is no point in ridiculing a scene and its participants. The kind of negativity shown by a few members is a real turn off. I hate drama and don't want to play. If participation is dwindling it is because Stowe1 and a few others are turning us off. Lighten up guys.

Trey seemed like a real sweetheart and a good kid.

Tyler Evans not so much in that way. He didn't play well with others. I do agree with Mikey that Tyler became a big star of the site and was quite popular with many members. For myself though I never drank the Tyler Kool-Aid. lol I know he became kind of a twinkish fantasy come true for some. There were many who practically worshipped him. haha For my own tastes, I never saw what all the fuss was about. But his popularity and high ratings cannot be denied.

Tyler was sexy as hell but had the big-head. Didn't keep him from making me hard tho.
