Membership site forum - dead as a door nail

I find myself quiet, because as most people are snowed in, I have to remember that 50 degrees is not cold. it's dark and not cold. too petty to comment upon.
I find myself quiet, because as evil gains more of the middle east and north Africa, I cannot support an open-ended war. too mind numbing to comment upon.
I find myself quiet, because as the site evolves there is little reason to comment upon every sign post.

It's the same weather we had last year and the year before etc. It's also a well known fact that in the winter the nights are long and the days are short - that happens each year too. And finally, the forum has always had periods of quietness and then all of a sudden it blows up when we get a Nobelegg or someone similar turn up.

Yep!!!

We have to realize that Broke Straight Boys has so many members that don't post or even read the forums. The few who do come here read what goes on and say who needs this? It has become a club for the few who say "welcome" to the newcomers and then go on to do the same ole stuff and sometimes ignore their posts or criticize them for the stupidest things. We aren't writing an academic thesis we are communicating with each other. That's what it is all about!

I've noticed that as well. I have to say a big reason that I believe it's like this is a severe lack of actual models posting and the fact that so many members attack each other on the forums and its become a very hostile place lately. I'm afraid to post most of the time because Im scared what everyone will say and think. It wasn't like that even a year ago. Just my opinion.

I fully agree! First I too enjoyed the models posting. Second the negativity of a few drew a lot of members away. I looked forward to the forums sometimes more than the porn but now I feel it is more of an obligation of membership than posting for fun. recently there was a thread about how members don't spell correctly and the difference between too to and two. Shit , who cares on here? let's get back to the way it was, a fun thing. Sometimes it seems like a group of people in an in group who ignore others or probably giggle about them to each other. Another thing that is a turn off is when a thread begins and someone and their friends take it over in a different direction than what was started as. Nothing anyone can do though. They will go on unless someone takes the lead and redirects things

Hi Joey. You've been on this forum about as long as I have, and I'm a little bit confused by your comments. With my being one of the three most active members of this forum along with Jon and Tampa, I do take your comments a bit personally as the comments on the site and the silly banter that has made this place feel like home to me since 2008 are important to me, and if I've ever slighted anyone new and made them feel less important than anyone else I profusely apologize.

Maybe I can't see the forest through the trees, but I really think of us as mainly a welcoming group who are very interested in newbies opinion's. We have had some people drop in from the sky with total negativity such as Nobelegg, and the Miami doctor and a guy called Jeffster or Rickster, who I believe came here to stir up trouble. The person who brought up the English language and the to, too, and two is not a regular here and I think many of us told him off as we agree with you totally Joey that spelling and grammar are not the issues here, but expressing our feelings is what we are here to do.

As far as threads meandering into different places, I disagree with you and think that is one of the fun parts of the forum, and remember anyone can post back on topic and drive the thread back to where it began. However other than that, if you have any specific examples of how I am being dismissive of new posters, please let me know and I will try my best to correct myself as I really, really, want this site and this forum to continue and to be the wonderful entertainment that it has for me going on eight years.

Oct 2008 to now is 6 years and 4 months I like how you round up to 8 years!!! lol I accept your apology from you and your "queer click" and I hope all the newer members do as well..

I meant going on 7 years. You know that math isn't my strong suit, (or geography as I failed to recognize that Brooklyn in on Long Island lol).

And thank you for forgiving me and my "queer click" for ignoring the Great Peterh for so long and that it took Rifle or was it Aquarius to make you feel welcome here. lol

I miss my buddy Aquarius, we bonded so much on the Sean and Santo scene....

Mikeyank is right. Seems we have little wit and a lot o sarcasm though and are sorely lacking humor.

Consider it done:
I asked my grandma if she had ever tried 69. She said, "No, but I have done 53 -- that's all the sailors I could screw in one night.":scared:

I now see which side of your family you take after Beth, obviously this grandma!!!

Why would you think I meant you or Jon or Tampa? You guys are the best. I wish I had the time to go through old posts and point out who and its not just 1 or 2 that are what I described.

You mention Tyler Evans - I miss him. Is and will always be my favorite. It just so happens that I had just finished rewatching his getting fucked for the first time. I get a cheap thrill watching his head slid off the pillow as the dick slides in his ass the first time.

He always seemed like a really good kid. :)

To me, he was the first real star of Broke Straight Boys, the guy I couldn't wait for to see in a new episode to find out what he'd been up to and to see what David could convince him to do, since the last time he was on the futon.

Oops! lol I don't know how I made the mistake of confusing Tyler Evans with Trey Evans. But it was Trey Evans who I was thinking of in my post above.

Trey seemed like a real sweetheart and a good kid.

Tyler Evans not so much in that way. He didn't play well with others. I do agree with Mikey that Tyler became a big star of the site and was quite popular with many members. For myself though I never drank the Tyler Kool-Aid. lol I know he became kind of a twinkish fantasy come true for some. There were many who practically worshipped him. haha For my own tastes, I never saw what all the fuss was about. But his popularity and high ratings cannot be denied. :)

Oh Tampa Sweetheart..Funny thing..I just spent the last hour and a half looking at Tyler Evans and that boy was cute.
Like Tyler White I just wished I could wrap him up and take him home. He had it all that Smile that Ass. That skin.
For me I like boys to be men..But I really like cute. And I think everything about him was cute.I can see why he was so popular.
And is still one of the highest rated. I guess that is one of my regrets now ( Too Me ) there is not one (cute) boy on the site. Now Working...
Don't hate me everyone that just one opinion of one man that spends way to much time on Broke Straight Boys....
Guess I drank a bit to much of the Kool-Aid. lol
Hope that was the right to?

Tyler Evans grew on me and now he is one of my all time favourite models. Tyler also posted some great stuff on here and it wasn't the "look who I am" crap we've seen, these were genuine intelligently written and informative posts - just like Jason Matthews did.

What's Kool Aid Johnny ?

I agree Jon. Tyler did post some deep and thought provoking things here in the forum. He was/is quite intelligent. His posts did not go the typical route of self-promotion. Often he wrote as an employee and representative of the company, rather than as a model trying to gain more fans.

Kool-Aid is a flavored powdered that you mix with water and a cup of sugar to make a tasty sweet drink. It's quite good!

To understand the historical baggage and reference to the term "drinking the Kool-Aid" would take some time to explain. It would also pull the thread way off topic. Which is one of the things you supposedly abhor. haha I'm off to a doctor appointment. Maybe I'll explain it later or somebody else can.

That is what I liked about Tyler, Jason and the now deceased Mark Robbins. All 3 posted some really interested posts and, as you say Tampa, their intention was not to gain more fans, and certainly no begging letters. It was the latter that put me off models posting on the forum but of course Mark did give then an area of their own.
