What is remarkable is Beethoven was deaf when he composed this awesome piece of music. He is considered the greatest Classical composer of all times. Some composers find it easy to write music, he worked hard to create his pieces.

I just discovered this on YouTube. Janis Joplin on Ed Sullivan in 1969. What an incredible blues voice. Another of her era that died in their twenties.

I wasn’t familiar with that sont or artist, but I watched and loved the video and song. Is that considered techno music?

Gordon Lightfoot died yesterday at age 84. This is one of biggest hits.
I came here to post a few of my favorites of his too. We lost a great singer songwriter

Great version of her classic with Ike Turner. I saw Ike & Tina Turner at Madison Square Garden open for The Rolling Stones back in 1970, I believe. One of the great live shows I’ve attended. RIP Tina Turner.

My using the phrase “Long and Winding Road” on another thread put this fantastic song into my head. What a beautiful melancholy song from my far and away favorite musical act of my lifetime from the end of their career together as a unit.

Since Chac posted this song a few nights ago, it has stuck in my head. The song was released in 1980 when I was young and going to the gym and in the best shape of my life. And I was “partaking” in some of the seedier activities in New York City at clubs, back room bars and baths all the while this song was playing in the background. Indeed I thought it ironic as I heard the lyrics:
