If you like R&B and got nearly 2 hours to spare, then listen to this concert. British group Simply Red in concert in 2010, singing songs from their 25yo career. It's very very good

This version of Cortez the Killer has not video, just the size. It's an acoustic version but oh my god, its one of the best versions of this song I've ever heard. It gave me goosepimples all over my body.

Second,

"Lascia ch'io pianga", also by Handel, sung by the sublime Philippe Jaroussky. (If you have never heard a counter-tenor before, steel yourselves, ladies and gentlemen: for, a counter-tenor is a gentleman, who sings in the usual range OF a lady.

Some of you will find this appeals to your taste - many will not. All I can say is that my friends and I watched HOURS of Jaroussky's concerts, on the classical-music channel, "Mezzo", in Paris - where Jaroussky is hugely acclaimed: and gently SIPPED every single note, as if it were the sweetest, mellowest, Armagnac.

Alas - - -

It seems that, for me at least, YT previews are not working on this channel (I guess the site isn't liking my musical selections all that much???) - so I'll have to convince you to have a listen, by the sheer force of my prose, ALONE ~ and therefore, I'll FAIL. But to desist in the cause of good MUSIC, would be an even greater failure. . . .

So, even if you DETESTED the Handel selections, above, here is something completely different ~ a little BLUEGRASS. Played by the virtuosic little Mizzone brothers (Jonny, Robbie, and Tommy) from Lebanon Township, New Jersey, U.S.A. If you have never heard bluegrass before - or even if you have, and think you HATE IT - you owe it to yourselves to hear the Mizzone brothers play. They're something out of this world!

"A" XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

P.S. ~ I like to mix things up a bit, you know???

Bob - I think it's only you and me that are interested in music these days. Not sure if you remember this band but it was one that was passed on to me from my old man. It's a great compilation.

We can't help for other's (lack of) taste, I guess, now can we? LOL

Check this out peeps. It's a cover version of Led Zeppelin's Going to California from the Led Zep IV album. Jacob Barber who does the cover appears on Chaturbate as a cammer and is a young student doing all he can to help him through his studies.

He is also massive Led Zep fan (like me). He used his pc to overdub all the instruments which he played himself and all the voices at the end.

His Chaturbate id is BC Music

On a twist, here is a beautiful song by Sandy Denny from Fairport Convention who died in 1978 from an alleged substance abuse illness.

So, I've been on a french kick lately and Zaz is my most recent obsession. She's so different from anything that's out today and I've fallen in love with her music. :001_wub:
