Okay, so this is my latest endeavor to make Mikey laugh..........Mikey, I thought it seemed very"Monkees" like.

Why thank you Ms. K. You efforts to make me laugh are much appreciated. I do see the Monkeeesqe quality to the video and the scene with them in their swim suits on surf boards shows off their hot young bodies, but I will take Monkees music over theirs any day. I guess it's a generational thing, while some might say it shows that I am an "old fart". :001_rolleyes:

Oh how I fondly remember my crush on Davy Jones of the Monkeses. My friend, Nancy, and I could debate for hours who was the cutest. Mickey Dolenz or Davy Jones. We were 11/12. I was sure thrown back to those memories when Davy died not that long ago. I saw this One Direction video recently and thought they were pretty darn cute. Did you notice one of them grab the other's nipples through his clothes while riding behind him on the motorcycle or notice the homage to Elvis' jailhouse rock movie.?

It's funny how people who watch male porn pick up on the slightest male on male bonding in these such videos, probably in the hope that one of the tabloids will disclose that at least one of the band members is gay. Remember Boyzone, Westlife etc etc. It's not such a big deal these days to be gay so many people expect a gay guy in the band, as we all know that the best singers are gay.

Whilst I like this band, Harry Styles needs to be put in check otherwise he will be going down the wrong path. All the others seem to be nice boys.

Vincent

While many people primarily know Don McLean for American Pie, in my opinion this is his "masterpiece"!

This song is so special. Anyone who has ever taken an interest in Vincent Van gogh's life will appreciate the words.
Such incredible talent and such utter sadness...

Have you considered making a Youtube video like Denver or Rob Ryder and post it here for us to enjoy your talents, Jon?

Actually I'm only open on here. I hate FB because of issues I've mentioned before and Youtube would be the same. Consider yourselves fortunate that I'm open on here - at least it's hidden to an extent...

And while we're in the mood - but not glenn miller version.
Thank you Jon. I never knew that Bob Dylan, the author of the song got on stage with David Crosby and Roger McGuinn and they all performed Mr. Tambourine Man together. That was very cool. Thanks to you Jon and to your late dad for turning you on to such excellent music.

Sorry Mike I missed your post.. Yes my head is definitely in between the 60-80s I do like some modern music but those old vinyls drive me crazy..

Someone linked Chris Rea and I linked Shirley Bassey on the other thread so I've found a common point.

Well, that was a nice surprise. I didn't think I'd like it, but I loved it! Thanks Jon.

I so admire people who can really sing...I can't hold a tune in a bucket :frown:

You should try listening to the album of the same name by Chris Rea who wrote the score.
