Here's someone I just found on netflix with an hour comedy special, Bo Burnham. I thought the special was great and have listened to some of his vids on youtube. Apparently, Bo posted his vids as a teenager on youtube and appeared on some special for youtube. I'm guessing Bo's about 20 now. I normally don't like rap, but thought this was hilarious....

I totally agree! :thumbup1:

In such cases that you are talking about, might I suggest:

(just a thought!!)

Bob,
that was a beautiful song.

For me, songs like that have a different time and setting that suits them. They just don't fit with driving, working out, or house cleaning.......and those are the times I listen to music the most.

So in love with these songs right now:

Girl With One Eye by Florence and the Machine:

She's Not There cover by Nick Cave and Neko Case:

A Fuoco by Ludovico Einaudi:

Ever watced a movie and just kept repeating the credits to hear the song???
Apocalypse end theme to BSG: The Plan:

Leave No Man Behind by Hans Zimmer:

....and thus the term " 'Defensive' Driving' ", came about!!, you should know, Ms. K, living in CA yourself,(and YES I can say this being once from there!)....where 95% of the drivers drive as if they are the only ones on the road!!! (AKA...the "HOORAY FOR ME, to HELL with everyone else" attitude!!! LOL :tongue_smilie:

I have liked this song since "way back when", Bob. It is great for house cleaning, working out, and dancing...............BUT, a bad choice for driving, UNLESS you are using cruise control.

okay, granted....that last was a 'short-lived' FAV song, but this song that I heard first yesterday, has grown on me, hardcore, so much so, that I HAD to get outta bed when I finished listening to it tonite. I am going over, (and over)the lyrics, so sadly beautiful!

I listen to her College Dudes in my car, over and over.

When I was little I loved singers like Eartha Kitt and Nina Simone. Several years ago I found Amy Winehouse, whose voice and sophisticated, smart, grubby, druggy vibe I adore. She died, probably of alcohol and an overdose, several hours ago. I am really gutted. She was so fucking great.

If you liked that one, have a look at this one. She did her best to get out from under her bad habits, but it wasn't good enough.

It wasn't just her voice and her personal image. Her music is so sweet and the vibe from the videos is so stunningly stylish. She'd already started to fuck up at concerts and who knows if her career was already over, but I will miss that bitch so much.

Only 27 years old. It just breaks my heart.

I was totally gutted to hear A.W. passed away. I love her. I thought she was a great musican. What a total waste of her talent to go so young. But can anyone say it's totally shocking to hear of her fate? She was always headed down this path. So sad.

....at LEAST you are just 'giggling', and NOT 'giddy, like a school girl'!

I am getting a manicure latter this week........maybe I should go for that "Fergie" look.:scared:

I do like the song though, but for some reason, today the phrase "Boom, Boom, Pow" makes me think of our new friend's screen name. Which makes giggle:blush:........
