Hi, how is your day going.

I had a great time doing karaoke.

I had the weirdest experience with one of my friends. It was after we had to vacate the private room, but the rest of the gang were all drunk and happy and so we went to the public bar part of the place. I'm not much of a drinker, so I was mostly sober. In talking with one of straight guy friends, it came up (I don't remember how) that although I've now had sex with guys, I've still never kissed a guy. And he was like, "You want to? I'm game."

I chickened out because my fear of being gay bashed was too strong to do it in public. I told him maybe in private at another time. He's in an open relationship with his girlfriend (also a very good friend of mine), and although I knew she wouldn't care, I told her anyway, and she was like, "Cool," and she had also forgot I had told her about the no-kiss thing before, and she was like, "You want to kiss me?" And I was like, what is happening? I said it would be too awkward in public. Maybe later. She said she was looking forward to it.

Now I'm terrified. But I feel loved.

To quote the movie Bucket List:

Edward Cole : Kiss the most beautiful girl in the world.
Carter Chambers : How are you going to do that?
Edward Cole : Volume!

That's how I plan to find my guy, just keep trying until one doesn't leave. 🤣😆

Glad you had a good time!

It has been chilly, rainy and basically dreary for seemingly forever in the New York City area……until today when it turned into springtime for one day with sunny skies, temperatures around 65 F and Brooklyn Heights was filled with locals and tourists all enjoying the beautiful weather. Brooklyn Bridge Park runs at sea level where the Brooklyn Waterfront Piers used to be. The Park opened in 2010. But above the park is The Brooklyn Heights Promenade which has been here since 1951 as part of a compromise plan when The Brooklyn Queens Expressway was built. The Promenade is a cover over the double deck highway, which has benches and incredible views of lower Manhattan and The Harbor.

Today instead of going down to the park where I usually go on pretty days, I instead went to The Promenade as I had a long phone call planned and the service is poor in the park. Here are some pics of the activities today on The Promenade. I can’t get used to this nice weather as rain and chilly weather is expected back this coming week. But for today it was spectacular. :sun:

Great pics, what a difference a day makes! Forgot to ask last week, but what did you think of the Wake Forest crowd court storm following their upset win over Duke somewhat injuring the knee of Duke's top player Flip? I would either ban them or at least have a security corridor escort the visiting team safely off the court.

Kyle Filipowski was very fortunate to avoid serious injury. I agree with your latter suggestion of the home team being held responsible to keep the fans away from the visiting team. I like your idea of a security corridor. By the way Flip looked very good in the two blow out victories in their last two games versus Louisville and Virginia. Duke is rounding nicely into a potentially powerful team this March.

And I find Flip very hot too. :smiley-love021:

Random:

Spring break for me this week. My young friends are away. I dropped a class on the philosopher Spinoza. I'm still unemployed. I have good friends but on some level I wish no one cared so no one suffers when I die. I still don't have therapy. I saw the movie All of Us Strangers and it fucked me up. I saw someone use the term "q-slur" and I felt vindicated. My gato is 15 and I'm terrified of him dying.

Why don’t you go for some form of therapy? I know that free therapy is available for unemployed college students. I saw a wonderful psychiatrist for around a decade starting in my mid twenties. He didn’t solve my issues but he helped me to understand what my issues were and as a result I became a happier person. I highly suggest that you try it Treb.

He is Johnny Furphy. I looked him up. It says:

A small forward who joined the team in August 2023 … Comes to Kansas from Melbourne, Australia … Known for his length, athleticism and ability to knock down threes … Has also been described as a player that attacks the basket and finishes above the rim.

I agree he is stunningly handsome and if he is “known for his “length”, I can just imagine him naked. :smiley-love021: I shall be watching this ultra hot Aussie too, Max.

Hey I hope you're ok; if you're a nice guy (which you seem) people will miss you whatever, so there's no point thinking like that. Sorry you have problems, if you want to chat to somebody out of the way I will x

What's a gato?

Yes, he's not their star player but plays a lot. I don't know what knocking down a three is :ROFLMAO: have watched a bit of basket ball, it's ok, i mostly like the boys.

What's a gato?
Gato is Spanish for cat. My cat used to be endlessly energetic, but now he sleeps most of the time and has a lot of trouble reaching heights. It makes me sad.

Sorry, I was having random thoughts. I'm ok. It's just a thing I think sometimes. Foolishly wishing I could alleviate pain from others to my own detriment. Stupid, silly stuff.

BTW, is that stylized avatar you? If so, you look good.

Yeah, I need therapy again. I think everybody should have it, really. I'm still probably happiest I've been in years, but still my anxiety is high at times. I've had therapy for many years. Just can't afford it.

Getting into a new therapy is pretty difficult, though. As you probably noticed by my previous statements, I have so much trauma and crap it takes forever to go through it all.

What's a gato?
A gato is a cat, while a dog is a cane (pronounced "Ka-ney").

Is that Latin, or French, or something? In my Puerto Rican version, perro is Spanish for dog.

Edit: I see it's Italian. I do not speak or know any Italian, so any connection between my gato and Italy is wholly unintentional.

It’s a really nice early March morning in New York City. I love watching the change of seasons, and while the trees are still bare without even a trace of spouting leaves I know that within the next several weeks I will be seeing leaves and then flowers blooming all over the city. So even with bare trees, it is still a very pretty morning, knowing what will be coming soon. Have a wonderful “almost” Spring day. :sun:

Correct, it's Italian.
