I completely believe Shane is Straight and he had some serious boundaries to overcum in this scene. Actually I really like Shane and the way he relates to his as a newly found brother(Damien). I guess the notion experimental means some model with no track record. That is the basic formula of BSB isn't it? Otherwise you would have something like CDudes. Pushing those boundaries is the name of the game.

I do feel that Shane was honestly struggling with his boundaries. Fortunately, he did become more comfortable as the update progressed. Personally, I think this is well in line with other updates on this site.

I ve been a follower of Broke Straight Boys before it was taken by the new owners. I am or I was used to some sort of granted fact that I will like all or most of the new guys here. That being explained, I have seen that some of the last newbies are not as attractive as the other models. With the first one, I thought..well, it happens in any business, not all the decisions have to be fortunate. But when I saw it happening again, and again and..again... I can not prevent myself of thinking that Broke Straight Boys might be changing their standarts with the models, and moving to a new type of guys, apparently to the more "regular looking dude" instead of the "stunning good looking guy". This new type of models is what I call experiments. Broke Straight Boys might be experimenting with the members' reaction.
As another member said, some of us come here and pay this site because we expect to see the best looking guys, in the same way that when we go to Broadway we expect to see the best performances, and not the High School level performances.

I agree with much of what you say Blueboyyy, however I first want to clear up that ownership has not changed here, but rather the production team and director, but that is only a technical issues, as for our purposes as viewers, it is a very different site from what it was back when it was what we now refer to as BSB1.

I too have always subscribed to your theory that "some of us come here and pay this site because we expect to see the best looking guys, in the same way that when we go to Broadway we expect to see the best performances, and not the High School level performances".

When I and others have offered similar opinions, some on the forum feel that this is a sort of elitist perspective, or that we may be potentially offending the models who have access to the forum, but I feel that if we respectfully state our opinions we need to have the freedom to speak openly if this forum is to retain any validity. I do like your "Broadway" analogy for if we are paying for a quality show, we have the right to expect the standards to be commensurate with what we pay for.

However my biggest problem with BSB3, as I call the new direction of the site is not mainly the lessening in the quality of the guys, (although I do agree that we used to get more "stunners" than now), but more in the lack of a believable reality that the performers are actually inexperienced straight guys first discovering the joy and pleasures of guy on guy sex, right before our eyes, whereas now they all seem to "jump right in the water", without slowly wetting their toes, ankles, etc. so we can enjoy the journey rather than just watch kissing and lovemaking without the progression which always fascinated and aroused me particularly on the classic BSB1 which is what got me hooked on this site.

Thank you Blueboyy for stating what appears to be a minority sentiment among posters on this forum, as your issues and concerns with the state of Broke Straight Boys at this time are very similar to my own and it validates my thoughts to see that I am not alone in my perspective.

You guys are preaching to the choir here. The issues you talk about are general in my mind and not specific to this particular scene. This just happens to be the thread where we're talking about it. While I don't mind an average looking boy next door type model every once in a while, I really expect them to be a very small minority here on a site where we are paying for the privilege of seeing them.

I've also never been a fan of the cold openings to scenes. As has been said before, the pre-scene banter is one of the ways we viewers get to feel a human connection to the models. It's one of the things that makes Broke Straight Boys really stand out from the pack. If we throw that seemingly personal bond between viewer and model to the wayside, then Broke Straight Boys risks becoming just another decent quality adult site to choose from in a crowded market.

I realize that after directing College Dudes for as long as Clay has, that these kinds of scenes are much more in his own comfort zone. I imagine he takes to directing these kinds of scene like a duck to water. But they just don't give the vibe of amateur models on a "reality" site. That's not to say that I don't the scenes to flow well. It does make "better porn" for many viewers when the models don't look all clumsy and totally clueless. However a little bit of that is okay once in a while to remind viewers that these really are amateur, believably straight models. But again, for myself I'm actually liking some of the more polished performances from some of the models. It's the cold openings that are leaving me cold many times...simply because they are reminding me of other sites out there. Broke Straight Boys is unique in so many ways. I just want it to continue to be that way.
