I enjoy a little acting in the scene - it adds drama and spice to the fantasy. I suspect that it relaxes the first-timers alittle in the scene. What's drier than watching two guys fuck without any expression or emotion. I like hearing a little moaning and groaning in the process. Same thing goes with kissing.
