Exlax-enhanced chocolate chip cookies! I hear Smiley's cookies are "to die for"

Years ago I spoke to a much older friend in his 80's. He said that after a certain age, "Getting some action" takes on a whole new meaning. LOL :scared:

Stimpy, it's not my cookies but my brownies.

And as for your Ex-Lax comments, all I can say is, "Blow it out your ass!"

6. I love camping in the mountains and body surfing. I am passionate about Sudoku and crossword puzzles.
7. In Japan at the tender age of 15 I became a Buddhist to the horror of my very devout Orthodox Jewish grandparents and complete confusion of my nonreligious parents. WOW!!!!!!! That is a truly amazing and varied random facts.

I actually have quite a few things in common with you. I also love to cook, read science fiction, do sudoku puzzles, and my sense of humor gets me in trouble.

I have no been to any of the places that you mentioned, except San Francisco, but I would love to retire in Puerto Vallarta.:sneaky2:

A life story told in ten random facts...

And I like to cook too (Jamie Oliver recipies) Could convince nobody that I was straight, let alone myself. The little Buddha in you, posted some real wise remarks. :)

Could Ms. K.:001_wub: accompany you on an exiting summer trip? To... better ask her first. (No we don't want to get rid of you honey...)

"a really perverse sense of humor" Please tell more, don't make me beg!

Maybe we can have a Broke Straight Boys reunion in Puerto Vallarta complete with BBQ and dancing boys. I am sure Jimmy and some of the other lads would be enthusiastic about a trip south to the land of beaches, cheap tequila and great food.

As for perverse sense of humor, I will most likely exhibit it from time to time here. Suffice it to say I am a man of low morals and some persuasion who likes double entendres and bad puns.

Impressive juanjo! Very impressive. How fortunate you were to see so many places and experience so many cultures.

But Puerto Vallarta? I know it is beautiful, i have been there, but you could not offer me my weight in gold to travel, much less to live in Mexico at this time.

Well I have been traveling there for many years and so have many friends. Including this year. With no issues whatsoever but to each their own.

I would like to say that I am aware of the many problems that have been occurring in Mexico especially over the past few years. For the most part these issues have been in very specific geographic locations not the entire country. When I lived in the Philippines we were always told by people that the Philippines were extremely dangerous and my parents were absolutely crazy to drag their kids their to live. Strangely the same was said about Guam due to an on going "drug war" at the time which claimed a number of lives including the son of a sitting judge at the time. I never had any issues in either place. The Filipinos were some of the kindest and warmest people I ever met in my life. Total strangers would go out of their way to feed us and interact with my brother and I. Guam was one of the best places in the world to be a teenaged kid [so many marines and sailors, so little time]. Mexico City has had a reputation for being dangerous for many decades and parts of it are dangerous, as are parts of Los Angeles or New York City. The same is true of Buenos Aires where I have visited many times, sometimes walking home at 3 am in the morning to the amazement of some gringos visiting there.

At the invitation of Stimpy, I have compiled my 10 facts and I hope I don't bore you to death. I am not a very interesting person. Thanks, Stimpy, for the invite.

1. I lived in Florida for 24 years and still have my home there, but I call Ohio home now. I moved back here in 2002 to take care of my mother who suffered from Alzheimers. She passed away last January and I inherited the home which I grew up in. I'll use Florida to get a warm break during winter.

2. I was married for 6 years and have 2 adult children. My ex remarried and lives in Oregon...I live in Ohio...the kids live somewhere in between (I forget where exactly).

3. I was in the army for 2 years and spent most of that time (13 months) in Heidelberg, Germany. Great tour of duty! (It wasn't Vietnam)

4. I have watched Titanic (the movie, 1997) 68 times. Something about that movie fascinates me. Maybe it is the fact that they separated the classes of people socially back then, but in the end they all became equal.

5. I am a fifth great-grandson of a Massachusetts governor. My brother, my son and I are the only descendents left that still carry his last name.

6. I died in March, 2004. It was only for about 5 minutes, but it was long enough for me to know that there is some sort of life on the other side of death. I was there!

7. My sexual passion has always been straight guys. I have a lot of good friends who are effeminate men, but never connected with one sexually. Maybe I didn't turn them on. That's why I love this site so much.

8. My favorite color is yellow. Don't know why.

9. I am a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with melanoma in 2007 and had it surgically removed. In December I will celebrate 3 cancer free years.

10. I love rainy nights.

I've been reading your comments for about 2 months now, and you sound like a great group of people. I look forward to our time together. Thanks again Stimpy.

Dear Buckeye1,

Thankyou for your thoughtful response and sharing so much with us. It is good to be able to trust in others and realize that adversity only makes us stronger individuals. Congratulations on being cancer free for the last three years. Welcome to Broke Straight Boys and let me know if I can be of any help to you. You definitely are not boring!

I love rainy nights too!

BTW Buckeye1,

My original posting on this same thread is on page 54.

Stimpy,

How did you know that I was looking for it? This is getting too weird. I'm beginning not to trust this computer anymore. Who else can monitor what I am doing?

Thanks for the info and I suppose I should restrict my comments concerning your 10 facts privately? (How's that for slaughtering the English language...a statement and a question all in the same sentence)

Have a great day Stimpy.

Robb (that's my real name, if you want to use it)

The first paragraph of this post was meant to be funny. I just read it myself and it makes me look like I am crazy. I either need to learn how to use the smiley faces or stop trying to be funny. Sorry about that.

Clear as a bell, but it's very nice of you to be concerned that we might not have understood. It's obvious that you followed on from Stimpy's heads up regarding the location of his own first comment on the thread and were impressed by the telepathy that seemed to be going down between you.

That would be correct. It's nice to meet you.

Let me assure you your computer is not being monitored

That would be correct. It's nice to meet you.
Dear Robb,

I too hate being misunderstood, whether spoken in person or written. I had intended to provide you with the page number while writing my response but I just did not remenber the exact page number. Sorry to spook you. My number came about after I had time to look it up my original posting. There was no psychic process in play here.

My mind may work in mysterious ways at times, if it works at all. This wasn't one of them.lol Also, realize that my intended humor included in some of my postings doesn't always come through as expected.

Best of luck to you Robb!

Stimpy

PS I find "Robb" is a much nicer name to refer to you than Buckeye1. Trust me when I say "Stimpy" is a whole lot easier for others to refer to me than "Cumrag27". While it is not me real name, Stimpy was given to me by someone I lived with for 17 years, still love today, and will always associate positive things with it.
