Lovelumps response to Z's #6 cannot be ignored by this Native Californian. "Hmmmm." I have always loved Ca., its ocean views, beaches, forests and deserts call to me even now. But in recent years, I have come to focus on her faults, (no pun intended, or was it?) California has suffered from poor leadership, and severe apathy, resulting in deplorable conditions in many areas as relates to such things as infrastructure, education, and social programs. In Sacramento County, we have a mayor who promises the sky, but delivers only excuses for failure. We have an assembly, under mandate by the people, to deliver a balanced budget on time, and yet have not had either for over 15 years! Zyl, with the way housing prices are dropping in both California and Hawaii, I would rather see you guys move to Paradise than Dante's Inferno!

When I read your post a year ago, I had no idea that you would become such an important person in my life. But I must admit, with all of the lean times on Broke Straight Boys during the transition from David's brilliant early work until the introduction of version 2, you were the number one reason that I've stuck with this site.
