The disastrous weather hitting Florida made me think back to my past & so I wrote the following

My fascination with weather began as a small. I kept records of temperature & rainfall outside my house & went onto get a PH D in Synoptic Climatology. I did my Masters on the temperature records from the late 1080's to the 1965, which at that point was the present. It clearly showed the dramatic warming we have experienced. I was always fascinated by tropical storms& all disturbances such as blizzards & hurricane. But life does not always go as we might expect & I did not end up using my knowledge in the way I had hoped as a young man.

This thread goes back to the earliest days of the forum, started by the great Scorpio who was a member of Mark’s team at the time. If there are any current forumites who’ve not contributed to this thread yet, I’d love to learn more about you.

1. I'm Scottish heritage, first of my family to be born in Canada.
2. It took me until 44 to come out, had always been curious.
3. I have 2 wonderful children that both accept me and my boyfriend. (I'm still frineds with my ex-wife too)
4. I Majored in Chemistry, Minored in Physics but work in the Information Technology field.
5. I'm an ordained Minister of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
6. I love dogs, have a pack of 3 which are all rescues. Would have more except for the damn City by-laws.
7. I prefer younger guys, which works well since my partner of 8 years prefers older guys (54/31).
8. The City I was born in no longer exists (makes a great security question answer LOL).
9. I own a car that was never sold in North America (last count, about 20 of them exist in Canada).
10. I'm also a fan of old Honda motorcycles (Currently have 5 1984-1985 bikes in the shed).

Just to update whatever I posted way back when, on January 30th, I went down to the local Instituto Nacional de Migracion [the Mexican immigration agency] and was finally able to pick up my Tarjeta de Residente Permanente, aka my Permanent Resident ID card. After many years of back and forth, I am now legal here in PV.

1. I'm 21 years old.
2. I started writing a non-fictional book about King Arthur (hope you've heard of him) when I was still at school.
3. I love my hair being pulled.
4. One of my favorite artists is Bob Dylan.
5. I run every day.
6. I can't do maths.
7. My favourite food is salmon.
8. I'm deliberately studying at uni far away to get away from my family.
9. I'm addicted to sex/fapping and need relief 3 or 4 times a day, no matter where I am.
10. I'm ashamed of point 8.

Oh wow posting the above seems so long ago and things feel a lot different.

Writing on here was such a useful outlet for my feelings; when I was at uni there was a flood of emotion and, well lust that poured out having been so repressed - I both feel sorry for and am envious of that guy a couple of years ago.

I'll update the random facts:

1. I am 24 years old in 10 days!
2. I started writing about my sex life but - AGAIN - didn't finish sorry.
3. I don't have hair long enough any more, but miss it being pulled.
4. Still love Bob Dylan. Literally the only good thing about being back home is listening to him with my mum when Dads out
5. Still running. I ran 16 miles today.
6. Eye cant doo engliesh...
7. I stopped eating anything with flour and feel a lot better.
8. Now I've come home I feel I've no real friends but that's ok because this isn't the real me.
9. I've not had a D in me this year.
10. I'm ashamed of point 9.

I’ve always loved Bob Dylan but during lockdown when he released all his stuff to YouTube, I learned so much more than I already knew of his music and I’m still just scratching the surface.
