Sorry to hear that, I enjoy your posts. I hope you understand that I had 2 separate boards in the past and it wasn't good. I would love to get to that point again but we need more people posting on here.

Sorry to hear that, I enjoy your posts. I hope you understand that I had 2 separate boards in the past and it wasn't good. I would love to get to that point again but we need more people posting on here.
I understand & am grateful for your encouragement. But like it or not there remains a group of oldtimers set in their ways. I understand how they feel and hold no animosity towards them but I just don't want to be a source of friction which a far younger me would have thrived on that.

I never suggested that BR cease posting pictures entirely. I am only suggesting that posting literally hundreds of times a day, each as a separate individual post is overdoing it. I use the example of Mark posting on his weekly threads of one or two posts each containing perhaps eight or ten pics per post. For someone who does not want to click on 150 posts of pics per day, with two clicks we can move on to something else.
Of course that is just a suggestion of a compromise on my part. I very much appreciate the fact that Mark largely allows us to self regulate the forum. And that is my suggestion to try to satisfy all members. Just a thought on my part to try to keep as many of us satisfied as possible and to keep the forum a happy place for all of us to “do our thing” to express ourselves in our own individual ways.

I never suggested it either. I know he enjoys contributing and others enjoy his hard work. But you started that sports thread, mikeyank, and I just didn’t think full nude pictures of Bo Sinn or Sebastian Bonnet, 2 well known gay porn models, belonged in that thread. So instead of just going the easy route and saying “I should’ve posted them in my other thread” it then became a back n forth posting between Br and Kg with comments like “I’m sorry everyone doesn’t appreciate your hard work” or similar passive aggressive comments referring to me in order to make me look like the bad guy. I’m not even mad at anyone anymore. I suggested yesterday that we just drop it and move on but no, we had to keep going.

I thank you Jay for your comment and hopefully things will now settle into a routine where we can all be happy and enjoy all the aspects that the forum has to offer without anyone overdoing any one aspect to be overbearing.
We once had a guy on the forum, Danleeh from England. He was paralyzed and spent his entire 24 hours in bed, with a laptop computer, under his mother’s care and she did not know that he was into gay porn. This forum became his only outlet to be gay and to chat with other likeminded folks. He had a fabulous attitude and referred to this forum as his “Happy Place”. I love that we can all come here and go into our happy place as well. This should be a place where we can put aside all the problems and stresses that our real lives have to offer. That is my wish for this to be all of our “Happy Places”.
I decided to resume posting As it so happens I have plenty of saved images for the sports thread. As far as I recall none are nudes & all taken from my usual sources. I was posting between 40 to 50 images a day. It will be halved for now. As to my thread It will shrink in number but that will vary from day to day.

Sounds good to me, and as I tried to explain, on this new forum set-up, it is now easy to put multiple pics in one post and makes it much easier for me to navigate on the forum, rather than to make all individual posts. I know it will make it harder for kg to comment on each individual pic, but he can quote the post containing up to ten pics, make one post commenting on a whole group and give them numbers as Pic 1 and Pic 2 , etc.
Hopefully as with the founding fathers of the U.S. constitution, this will someday be looked upon as the Great Broke Straight Boys Forum Compromise. (That was an attempt at humor to lighten the situation that grew tense over the weekend
).

Actually it is really easy to quote individual pics now with the new forum. If you reply to a bunch of pictures you can remove the pictures you aren't commenting on and leave the one you can comment on. I think that is a good solution.

I’m testing something. Maybe this has already been done and if so I apologize for the repeat. If I @mikeyank in this post will he get a notification that I tagged him by placing the @ before his username? I know we get notifications at the top of the screen when people have replied to a comment. I’m just curious if people get a notification if they are mentioned in a comment

Yes I got the following notification:

He will if you set the notification option to send an email to all new posts.
That’s great to know. Because when I started with @ and then started spelling out your username your username came up as an option. When I start to spell your username without the @ at the beginning your username does not come up.
This is excellent news because I’m mainly just sticking to Broke Straight Boys related threads. So if someone mentions me in a different thread that I’m not looking at I will never see that post unless they @ my username and specifically tags me to see it.
I’m gonna start doing this whenever I mention someone so that I know they’ll be sure to see it.
It turns out there is a 2 mg limit on the size of images that can be posted. This is the second time I have had this happen. Perhaps in the next update (along with webpg images which are also large) regular images maximum size can be increased.

I have upped this so you should be able to upload more. Hopefully more image formats with the next release.
