Tyler Rocks (in my humble opinion)

I must say I am quite dissapointed that none of the regular posters and in the past Casper "fans" have commented on my earlier post today. I'm also dissapointed that the management have chosen to ignore my comments.

I apologies that *I* didn't response or someone from "management". We are just sick and tired of Casper's posts and threads and we don't want his negative posts effect other members that like to post and be active on this board. We tired to ignore his posts and threads but to be honest, many good members that come to this forum were complaining and didn't want to come to this forum because of Casper.

Regardless if he was able to edit or not, Casper made way too many acquisitions regarding myself, Tyler and the whole BluMedia team and its enough. We gave him a warning months ago and we told him that we are monitoring his posts and threads. But Casper has gone way to far, he has this idea that "management" and certain models should communicate with him 24/7 and its enough already. I like Casper, but he just takes things a bit to extreme and many members dislike him.

With that being said, *WE* at management enjoy listening and reading your comments and your posts. We also get the fact that some on this site are not going to like Tyler while others love Tyler. Some don't care to hear my "banter" and some are even debating if the models are str8 or gay...we hear you and we get it...but the Broke Straight Boys site is what the Broke Straight Boys site is, plan and simple. We can't satisfy everyone all of the time but we are not going to have a person like Casper ruin other peoples post and start making issue's out of nothing. Its not fair that Casper takes over threads that other people post and starts his drama...this is why he was banned!

We apologies if certain members don't agree or feel insulted but if your going to act like a "whacko" to other members and management, then you will be banned from the forum:thumbup1:

Sorry Jon but today is actually a happy day for me just to hear that he is gone, and as someone said I hope it's permanent so he cant sneak back. I tried very hard to make friends with him and exchanged many private emails. I even passed along personal information and contact info trying to help him out. The who ever he is is just a nut case and trust me he is not who ever he says he is. I alone had two or three different last names from him. Frankly I wonder if he has ever even been to Oklahoma. No I understand how you feel and I to hate to see anyone banned but trust me on this one we are all better off now. It would be different if he was telling the truth and seriously needing help but this guy is just here for the fun of causing mischief.

Its not fair that he's taking over threads. This whole thread about Tyler has gone too shit because of Casper's drama. His negative comments and remarks is not right and its a turn off for those members that want to post a nice thread and start a good conversation about something they like or dislike without Casper jumping in and becoming the "kill joy" to the thread/posts.

I too and so has Tyler gone out of our way to communicate with him from the very beginning but things just didn't add up with Casper and he got more and more whacko as the days and weeks went on with him. Frankly, I started to ignore him and so did Tyler and we didn't get involved. I guess he took it very personal. Then other members did the same thing I did and figured out he has major issue's and started to ignore him as well...so I guess he would get upset, become a child and banter all of us and hijacked threads/posts...it was time for him to be banned, enough is enough!!

Denny, i love you to bits dude. Thanks for responding in the way that only you do. I trust what you have to say and will now say no more on the matter.

David - I hear you too dude.

Tyler - Get in front of the camera and drop and give me twenty. lol

I saw your comment this morning Jon, but had little time or caffeine to respond properly. I think it's safe to say, I'm not one of Casper's fans. I didn't believe anything he had to say, and did notice, even from my short time on the boards, his ability to turn gold into shit. His passive aggressiveness, and constant need to be the center of attention grew tiresome. I think management gave Casper plenty of time to change his attitude; Casper took that time instead, to give himself enough rope to hang himself.

Having said that, perhaps his banning will serve as a wake up to him; that his behavior won't be tolerated and that he needs to make some changes.

I wish him the best, but am very happy that management made the decision they did. Thanks to David and the team for looking out for the other members.

Thanks Scott but it's partly my fault too. I often forget about the time difference and that some of you guys will be catching up on your beauty sleep (and god don't you need it lol).

Now when is Tyler's new film due out......

The time difference kills me! I have one writer who lives in Australia and trying to get together over Skype is a pain in the ass!

And yes, where is the wonderful Tyler's next film? I can't wait for it!:thumbup1:

I was going to comment, but I figured my thoughts on the topic were well known by now haha (And Chuck had asked that it not be discussed further).

I just want to be clear that I really did enjoy talking to him in the beginning and I think he came here with the ability to bring a lot of creativity to the conversations. I sincerely hope it doesn't look like I was singling him out for any reason but his own behavior on the forum.

In response to your first comment, it does stink that we can't edit things after five minutes. But in the real world, as soon as something leaves your mouth, you can't take it back. I'm sure we've all said things we regret. It's an unfortunate lesson that we all must face and grow from.

New guy here. To at least wrestle this post back to Tyler, I'm going to should out some Tyler love. He's a nice, slightly geeky guy who looks like he has fun doing what he does. To imagine, since I don't know him and never will, he's probably fun to talk to over dinner and equally fun in the bedroom. I don't know how many other models would be the same.

Plus, I thought he did a fun job on the "orgy" videos that he shot. Good camera work, lighting, and commentary. And it was fun hearing him talking about getting horny and wanting to jump in and have fun with Gabe.

So Tyler, good on you, please direct the next time Dan needs a break and keep having fun.

Welcome to the forum. I'm glad you are enjoying Tyler and the site.

Thanks. And I can't believe I misspelled "shout" as "should" in the previous post. I blame my keyboard.

Thanks and welcome to the forum, Vistas... Tyler, has always been a sweet heart. I think everyone was kind of taken back by Broke Straight Boys discovering him at a car show. I think everyone went to malls and car show for a month or two after that just to see if they could find there Tyler. LOL Anyway, from day one he always gave his best. I will say it. He really worked hard for his money. He made Aiden look great. That guy learned very quickly to give a great BJ. He was a little shy about getting fully erect right out of the gate which really helped us understand that he was a straight guy experimenting. As his comfort level adjusted he just seemed to all to happy to try to please anyone he was paired with. My top three Tyler episodes are Tyler and Sean (shown on Boy Gusher.com) Tyler and Austin, and Tyler and Ethan. OK, I also like Tyler with Chris and Tyler with Corey too... I think what I really like most about Tyler is that in almost every video I have seen with him he has always tried to give the other person great pleasure. It was very interesting watching him evolve. I am especially delighted to know that he came here with an open mind and he discovered that he could really enjoy having sex with guys. Granted it really isn't his preference. Tyler said something in his interview to the the idea that he does enjoy sex with guys to some extent... That really was great to hear. I think it was one of the more endearing things that he had to say.

I think that Tyler is a pretty deep person in general. And he just loves people. Maybe not every single person he meets but I think he is the kind of guy that tries to see the good in everyone like me to some extent...

Many don't know it but he is also a great model for Under Armor underwear. LOL  OK, sorry Tyler. I was just kidding... :001_rolleyes:

can i just say this? i would gladly give up everything i have to buy Tyler a beer. just a beer. so yeah, that being said i really hope that you guys come to pittsburgh pride 2010 and bring tyler along, as i just might spontaneously combust if i could take a picture with this guy.....

....okay i officially sound like a creepy stalker, i guess i should just change my name to casper....oops!

His discovery at the car show has always been part of the Tyler mythology (cue Tyler to roll his head back and sigh with the mention of a "Tyler mythology" ). I'd like to examine that in conjuction with why Tyler rocks.

The car show story has been mentioned so many times it has become canon. David discovered Tyler at the Miami Beach Car Show. As with most myths, it has a basis in truth but it's only part of the truth. In the short interview with Tyler that begins the 7/23/08 shoot with Derek, there is this exchange:

David: When the first time we met you, we were at...you were at the Miami Beach Car show.
Tyler: Mm-huh, with my dad, yeah.
David: Yup.

In the same interview, Tyler mentions that he was raised in Phoenix and that while he had not had sex with guys before he'd modeled, he had fantasized about it.

Add to this the interview that preceeds the 6/14/08 shoot with Tyler, Dustin, Ryan and CJ. When told by David to "tell the truth" about how they all came to Broke Straight Boys, here is part of the conversation:

David: And Tyler, how did you get to...
Tyler: Umm, I was just looking for something that make extra money and I just went to the websites and kinda went to the modeling places on the website.
David: And then also our stuff came up?
Tyler: Yeah.

In this interview, all four guys admit they were attracted to doing gay porn because it pays better than straight porn.

Somewhere else - in a place I can't find this morning - I'd swear I heard Tyler say he submitted a standard application for modeling to Broke Straight Boys Or maybe I read it. (Can somebody else help me out here?) In any case, the above interviews make two points clear. Tyler applied to Broke Straight Boys to be a model in the conventional way and he was at the car show with his father.

The rest of this is all supposition but I would be suprised if I was far away from the truth:

Tyler has turned 18 in Phoenix. He is looking for extra money. Open to exploring his fantasy of having sex with a guy, he has heard gay porn pays well and so he searches the Internet for options. Modeling for Broke Straight Boys pops up. He submits an application, including the required pictures. A representative of Broke Straight Boys contacts him and offers to send him to Miami for a shoot. If he hasn't told his parents before this moment, Tyler now needs to let them know what he is doing. Somehow he has to explain why all of a sudden he is flying to Miami Beach. His parents, showing understandable and proper concern, are leery of sending their son half way across the country to do a gay porn video shoot. For Tyler's protection and his parent's peace of mind, Tyler's father accompanies him to Miami. Once there, Tyler and his dad agree to first meet David (and I'm guessing Eddie, too - he's the "we" in the "we were at" quote above) in a public place. It's safer that way. They decide to meet the Miami Beach Car Show, which is taking place at that moment. (Somewhere else on the site Tyler has admitted he's always been into cars.) The four of them meet and discuss things. Tyler and his dad become comfortable enough with David and Eddie to proceed. David then shoots the set-up shot with Aiden (from the beginning, Aiden's stumbling into David at the car show is part of the script) at the car show. Tyler and his father stay in Miami Beach for the remainer of the week while Tyler does his still unreleased but in-the-can solo shoot and three more with Aiden. At the end of the week, Tyler and his father fly back to Phoenix.

I realize this is a lot of speculation but it totally fits the facts. Yes, the myth is true. David and Tyler met for the first time at the car show. The story can be repeated again and again and everyone nods, yes. But a whole lot of conventional business and family dynamics also happened. David doesn't cruise the town searching for models, his camera always rolling. Come on, David is too much of a professional for me to believe in amaturish moves like that. On the other side of the camera, I can also assume that Tyler wasn't born with his maturity. He was raised to be mature. The romantic in me likes to think he brought up his idea to do gay modeling to his family early on, that Tyler and his parents have a very open relationship. I know I've read a post where David says Tyler has the support from his family for what he's doing. In any case, it is obvious Tyler comes from a strong family background. Tyler is mature because his parents supported him in handling life's challenges as he became capable of handling them. They protected him when needed but also let him become a man on his own.

Why does Tyler rock? Because he was raised well.

Wow, I can clearly see you are definitely a Tyler fan too... I agree he was raised very well...

Oh, yes, I'm a Tyler fan, most definitely.

This whole line of reasoning came out of the "Mm-huh, with my dad, yeah" off-handed remark Tyler made. I thought, what was his dad doing there? The rest fell into place.

if i remember correctly in one of his videos where he was talking about this first meeting, that after him and aiden were roped into shooting the scene he joked about never finding his dad after that. i dont know what this has to do with this whole like of tyler mythology however i just thought it was very cute....okay i think im officially a member of the tyler fan cult

We are all turning into Rainman. We have tons of arcane little unconnected bits of Tyler lore etched on our memories. I went through a whole mental thing about his hair, and that little white alopecia patch on the side of his head. I've watched fascinated to see if the shape of his eyebrows changes from episode to episode. Whether his fingernails are bitten. The fact that he has very slightly thick ankles for such an otherwise slender delicate kid. Anyway. Gotta get to work early, we're pouring cement today and it all has to be done in one go to have the strength we perfectionists demand. Laterz.

Smiley, I thought that I was a student of the Broke Straight Boys Forum, and have studied it as thoroughly as a rabbi does with Talmudic Law, however I somehow missed your most interesting speculation regarding Tyler, originally posted on January 17, 2010.

If your speculation is indeed fact, Tyler's dad was possibly in his early forties, when he accompanied his eighteen year old son to Fort Lauderdale, to meet with David and Eddie. I understand that we live in a more evolved world today, where such meeting's could possibly take place. However I still feel a bit "creeped out", contemplating a father actually meeting with a perspective employer who was going to film his teenage son having gay sex for an worldwide internet audience. I guess I am still "old school", when it comes to matters like this. I never had, nor will I ever have any children of my own, but something about your possible scenario still seems "wrong" to me, but that may be my age and my 1950's "Leave It To Beaver", Ward Cleaver mentality speaking in my brain.

It still makes for most interesting speculation. With all that we do know about Tyler, there are still many unanswered questions. I will repeat that Tyler is the most interesting of David's models during his era of shooting Broke Straight Boys I would certainly be fascinated to learn the reality of the person who plays the role of Tyler Evans on Broke Straight Boys
