The last episode I watched last night was most interesting as Colton is a man of faith and calls his priest on the phone to explain his coming out. And while the priest is understanding he cannot accept it and tells him that marriage is only between a man and a woman. However Colton goes to a Metropolitan Community Church, which is a LGBT-affirming church and he learns that while he cannot continue in his traditional Catholic Church, he does find a community where he is welcome.

I am looking forward to finishing the series this weekend. I am very impressed with it.

In regards to Colton, although he's not my type I think he's a very handsome guy. However his new boyfriend (which he confesses his love to) is 10 yrs older then him and frankly isn't that cute!!! He could definitely do better.....

This is very common & it has nothing to do with gender, beauty after all is in the eye of the beholder & often involves others things than physical attraction that can be more lasting.

I just read an article which says that although there were cameras present, at least his father did not expect his son to be telling him he was gay during that fishing trip.

Colton Underwood’s Father ‘Would Have Preferred’ His Son Come Out to Him ‘Differently’
”The Bachelor“ star revealed his sexual orientation to his dad while filming Netflix docuseries ”Coming Out Colton“

Colton Underwood, a former NFL player and star of Season 23 of “The Bachelor,” came out as gay to his family in an unconventional way — while filming a Netflix docuseries about his coming out journey.

Not everyone was thrilled with how the reality star went about it. “I’m not saying I’m upset about it, but I would have preferred it had been done differently,” his father Scott Underwood told the New York Times in an article about “Coming Out Colton.”

Like many of Underwood’s friends and family members, his father first learned about his son’s sexuality while on camera, in order to capture his genuine reaction. In Scott’s case, the two were on a fishing trip when he got the news.

Given that Colton has spent much of his adult life in the spotlight, his father conceded that his coming out this way makes sense. Colton is “an entertainer, let’s face it,” he said. “That’s what he’s chosen to do for his career.”

Referencing his son’s choice to participate in the docuseries, Scott continued, “Am I going to say it’s for fame? No. Did he come out on TV for money? Sure. But who in reality entertainment doesn’t leverage their life and put it all out there for money?”

In April 2021, Underwood made headlines when he came out in an emotional interview on “Good Morning America.” The documentary series, which began shooting in 2020, follows his path to that moment, which involves coming out to his family, friends, and church community. Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy, who came out in 2015, also makes an appearance as he helps his friend navigate the experience.

Xx Xx “I’ve lived my life so publicly straight, and I ran from a community I’ve belonged to my entire life,” Underwood told the NYT. “I knew there was going to be a lot of people who didn’t understand. Maybe at the end of these six episodes, people still don’t understand. But at least I’ve tried to undo the wrongs.”

The 29-year-old reality star, who appeared on “The Bachelor” in 2019, faced backlash after his ex-girlfriend Cassie Randolph alleged that he had stalked and harassed her in a 2020 restraining order. They dated for nearly two years after getting together on “The Bachelor.” The restraining order was dropped in Sept. 2020. Nonetheless, an online petition created in late November asking Netflix to cancel the docuseries has gathered over 35,000 signatures.

Sadly while technology continues to advance bad human behavior remains the same.

And the controversy actually works well for people who are in the realm of reality entertainment. Not that I like it... But it's the old saying that, "There's no such thing as bad publicity."

Still admittedly, I would like to see some of the docuseries to get an idea of what he's like as a person.

Frankly I avoid so-called reality shows. If they play to the audience then it is rare to get honesty. The only way to learn about an individual is how they interact with others.

I find that if you search YouTube you can get at least snippets of many streaming programs. I think his story is worth watching. I will search YouTube for links later.

Tampa my special friend Jeff was a proud Kiwi & is a rabid supporter of the All Blacks

As well as a healthy ribbing of their giant to the north.

Just like you to be into cocks of course, that have fully grown to epic proportions !

Don’t Look Up

I just watched a terrific movie on Netflix called, “Don’t Look Up”. It is part political satire and part sci-fi thriller. The cast is wonderful starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Adriana Grande, Meryl Streep as the President of the United States, Jonah Hill as her son and chief of staff and Timothée Chalamet who I didn’t recognize when I first saw him as a skateboarder who takes on an integral part as the plot develops. I found myself laughing and cringing as the story went on. I am not a big movie guy, but I heard them talking about it this morning on Morning Joe and I’m glad I watched it this evening.

Mike I was a great follower of Morning Joe but I just can't stomach listening more than some of the two of the 9-10 PM pillars on a week day basis.
