Here is the best article I have come across so far about this topic. It is a long read but many adult sites will have issues. We have implemented a PG-13 tour for our site but many other sites especially free ones are at risk. Nobody I have ever met in the adult industry wants minors on their websites. This doesn't solve the issue with minors on adult websites. They can regulate all they want but people will still access other porn sites in other areas very easily.

I can say if a website wants my ID or face to do a age verification check I'm nopeing right out of that tab and moving on. I have a global VPN, I can make my traffic look like it comes from just about any place on planet earth (there are a few countries where they don't maintain servers.) I guarantee they (the gov'mint) probably already have a huge dossier on what kind of porn we all watch with all the data vacuuming they do. With all the data breaches and lack of data security in the internet, I just don't trust that some company is going to keep my license pictures safe.

That is an interesting article you linked Mark. I do slightly disagree with this statement they made - "The idea that adult content is inherently harmful to teenagers is a fallacy". I think that porn probably is harmful to teenagers as they usually don't have a good context or perspective to put on it yet, it's just a lack of life experience. Porn isn't reality and they may not know that yet. Most Americans are quite prude, and I don't really see a Catholic parent talking about what porn their kids may be watching . Maybe I'm wrong

Just look at condom useage statistics, we are using them less and less overall in the last decade or so, with the younger generation even less if I remember correctly. Yes, we have PrEP but that doesn't prevent the super bug STIs that are starting to get around. Did this trend start when the studios started going all bareback 10-15 years ago? I'm not intending to start anything just spouting what's on my mind LOL
