I just do not understand this site.....and many others promoting bareback sex. Everyone seems to think risky behavior is fine....get HIV....take a pill. Its not that simple guys.....trust me...I know. HIV?AIDS is still very real and prevalent....dont sell out and buy into the pill ideal.....your life will be HARD and DIFFERENT when you test positive for the virus....be responsible Broke Straight Boys....rubbers are needed and necessary.....please be responsible in your promotions of gay sex.

Broke Straight Boys employs the most sensitive and extensive HIV tests in existence. They can detect any presence of the virus within a day or two. They are very expensive. (I know because as a long-term AIDS survivor I take these tests several times a year and I know how much they cost, though thankfully I have insurance to cover them.)

These tests are not the usual ones people get which test for the existence of anti-bodies to the virus and can have a lag time of up to 6 months.

Also Broke Straight Boys uses these tests within a testing regimen that excludes sex with another person from the time the test is taken until after the scene is shot. If a model should happen to violate that regimen his shoot is cancelled and he doesn't get paid.

While I agree that life can be different if you have HIV or AIDS, it is a lot easier than it was 28 years ago when I first started this journey as an AIDS survivor. And I surely wouldn't advocate risky behavior just because of PReP; but Broke Straight Boys is not putting the models at risk because it uses the best testing methodology available. And because ultimately, any individual model can choose to use a condom.

Despite your explanations.....for many uninformed people this behavior encourages said behavior....personally....I think condomless sex should be illeagal. I have been poz for 29 years and with my partner for 28....we still use condoms....I encourage boycotts of condomless sites such as this....I wont be staying.....despite years of subscribing......I just cant get past this issue....

You should have thought of that before you joined.

I think that was a rude and unnecessay comment.....I'm gonna die from this shit....its past time to protect others.....Jesus. I did not sign up for unprotected sex....I can go to a bath house for that...rude dick head!!!

It has been over a year since Broke Straight Boys started having condomless videos and you are just now starting to bitch about it. While I have no problem with condomless sex or sex with a condom it is the models choice. What I do have a big problem with is certain members who subtract a point when rating the video if condoms are worn. This is not fair to the models or to Broke Straight Boys as it puts added pressure on the models and Broke Straight Boys to shoot unprotected sex videos.

The Broke Straight Boys that I "grew up" with featured all condom scenes, (with either two or three exceptions), and when the announcement was made that there were going bareback, I protested and objected, but eventually it became clear that the majority of fans prefer bareback and for the site to survive in the competitive world of porn, they felt that had to do it. That doesn't mean that I like it, but I accept it.

1. You joined Broke Straight Boys a little over 5 years ago. Barebacking was introduced on 1/24/13 with the Johnny Forza/Lucas Weston scene - a little over two years ago. I'm curious after all that time having passed, why now are you so outraged? When the barebacking started there were innumerable threads and posts on the issue. Did you register your complaints then?

I was diagnosed Positive in 1987; Aids symptomatic in 1992; and currently Aids asymptomatic since 2000. Almost 28 years - that's why I call my self a long-term Aids survivor. My doctor tells me all the time that the chances of my dying from one of my other health issues or old age are far greater than dying of AIDS. I note you said you have been Poz for 29 years. Ever been diagnosed with Aids? If you are poz and it has never progressed to Aids, your chances of dying from something other than Hiv are greater than mine. And if you have been Aids diagnosed, your chances of dying of something else is in the same ball park as mine. I would think someone who has survived this long would know that intuitively or at least have doctors who would know that and tell you.

When I started the practice of subtracting a point if it is a condom scene, I specifically noted that it would not pertain to my vote for the models; they would continue to be rated on their performance. The reason I subtract the point is because condom scenes don't get me going the way bareback scenes do. And I reserve the right to do that, just as another member might deduct a point for shaved pubes, or no feet play, or the models are not believably straight, or any other number of reasons. And I find it hard to believe that you are so naive so as to think one or two members deducting a point for a condom scene is going to force the site or a model to do bareback. It just isn't that many who do that and say so. I do and so state and I seem to remember one or maybe 2 at the outside other forumites who have said they do so. Hardly a groundswell of anti-condom angst. What will dictate the continued use of barebacking is the competition in the marketplace and that seems to be heading more and more into the barebacking direction.

Not rude but straightforward - rude is calling people dick heads. Don't expect sympathy from me by coming the "I am going dying from this shit" - as Stowe said, you've survived for nearly 30 years so the chances is that you will die from an unrelated illness. I am interested to know is why you didn't chime into the bareback discussion when Mark announced that the site was gonna do bb. This was a massive topic at the time involving Broke Straight Boys staff and members.. I suspect you just want to stir things up..

Stowe, my issue is of your use of yellow lol. I use the Broke Straight Boys light skin so it's hard to read. Regarding the deducting a point for the scene just because its a condom scene, I think it's a bit cruel, but as you say, it's your decision. It's hardly going to have a massive impact on the overall rating.

What color is good for you then? Almost any color is good on the black screen. I notice every once in a while things you post are hardly visible on the black screen - must be some type of color you use because most of the time I can read your posts with no problem. As to your last sentence you are correct, as I stated in my reply to DadBearWoof - but you know me an old curmudgeon still with a little bit of his 60's protest activism alive and well - lol !!!

I think this quote from a recent article might support your last sentence also Stowe!

Next porn studio to go bareback is Randy Blue

"Bareback is allowed on live cam at Randy Blue but this is the first bareback scene [gallery] filmed by Randy Blue. The porn studio paired Ian Levine and Dominic Santos."

I just wanted to ad my thoughts on this. With all of the educational information available today, I personally don't feel that "encourages said behavior" is an accurate statement. People make informed decisions and if anything, they are encouraged to make choices based on their understanding of the risks involved. This is not limited to sexual behaviors and or condom use only. And there is a lot more information available today (on most anything) than there was 29 years ago. Obviously, you are very passionate about your views and opinions on this matter, which is totally understandable given your circumstances.

You're more generous than I am. I usually won't rate a scene with a condom higher than 3 stars unless it's insanely amazing in nearly every other respect.

Well, Setekh, that might be the first time anybody on this forum ever said or even implied I was generous regarding my reviews or grading system - lol !!!

I guess it's a mandatory rule that this argument has to be revisited every few months...

Which is fine, as new members join the forum who were not here the last time the discussion was raised, and it's also okay for members who've been here a while to reiterate their views as they watch the scenes.
