BluMedia (BrokeStraightBoys) Bareback Statement:

The only thing that I'm against here is the HIV virus and other STD's. I am absolutely 100% for EVERYONE to make their own decision that they are comfortable with.

I am just somewhat worried that the younger generation has not learned from the agony and pain suffered by the older generation concerning unprotected sex. I was against using condoms at first.....thought it was too constricting.....not always available when I wanted sex, etc. But I soon realized that I was against the HIV virus more. And later it became the norm for me. And now it remains the norm for me in my porn.

These "state of the art" tests are relatively new, so have not withstood the test of time. And anytime third and fourth parties are utilized in reading these tests, mistakes WILL be made. It's only human. If I were a porn model, I would think long and hard before I put my life in the hands of people I don't even know. You can say it is safe all you want, but actually it is only as safe as the people reading the tests. I, personally, would rather use a condom, which has withstood the test of time, and know my safety is in MY hands.

My only prayer is that we are not witnessing the beginning of a second epidemic of this horrible disease and all in the name of "entertainment".

Well hopefully after the bbc report, that the govt will once again launch a campaign to remind the youth of today of the dangers of having unprotected sex. At the end of the day, who wants to keep taking a large concoction of pills for the rest of their lives.

According to the findings that Jon posted today, you are unfortunately correct Robb.

My only prayer is that we are not witnessing the beginning of a second epidemic of this horrible disease and all in the name of "entertainment".
That is why I previously said that trying to sit back and enjoy bareback porn goes against my instincts, and it makes me feel like I am watching gladiators at The Roman Coliseum. (I understand that the purpose here is not to kill the participants, but it is still a sick feeling I get in my gut, when I try to enjoy such scenes).
.

Now the worrying thing I am thinking about is what Paul Canon slipped out at the beginning of this thread. He stated that ALL Broke Straight Boys models were now doing BB (later to be corrected by Sha). I still suspect that Paul's statement is not far from the truth.

Paul also said that after doing a bareback scene, he has had second thoughts and would consider going back to condom sex in future shoots, so there is hope that Broke Straight Boys will never become "ALL BAREBACK, ALL THE TIME".

I sincerely hope that campaign, if it is started, is expanded to the US and other countries. People are becoming too complacent that the worst is over and are making dangerous decisions. I like a good cocktail once in awhile, but want nothing to do with the "cocktails" to prolong life after infection of HIV.

According to many reports about the porn industry no one has contracted HIV from a professional porn shoot. These professional porn workers are tested every 14 days or every 28 days weather they are working or not, the records are shared amongst different companies so they are doing what they feel is the best they can do to keep their performers healthy and safe. In that case I believe they are going above and beyond. I'm not sure if this is accurate but the impression I had is no one shoots a scene until after they have had at least 2 negative testing cycles.

This is what worries me about Broke Straight Boys,
1. These boys are not professional.
2. Broke Straight Boys has never said they did testing before the BB scenes.
3. It sounds like the testing is done once and 24 hours later the boys are on the sofa with their legs up in the air.

Robb has made a very valid point in that no test is 100% accurate and mistakes happen all of the time. No one from Broke Straight Boys has said the models have been tested more than once before shooting a scene so it sounds very irresponsible to me that they get tested once time and get the OK to film BB. There really should be a history of tests.

We know many of the past models did not practice safe sex in their personal life, hell even Johnny admitted in BTS that he has done it without a condom. How many of the past models had babies with their gf or ex gf? It would be interesting to know how many of the currant models are unwed fathers and are not in a relationship with the mother? We also know many past models were frequent drug users which raises the risks significantly. Depending on their drug of choice the risks can increase exponentially.

I do not believe this line of bull that Broke Straight Boys is handing to us about safety because it just isn't true. If they had made it known that they had these test procedures in place all along and they kept records of tests results going back years I would feel more comfortable with it. It sounds like they just started testing. That tells me that they really didn't care about the health and safety of their models even if they did wear condoms and they are doing testing now more as a publicity act than as a concern.

Look... Back then, models would NOT get tested. They'd just put on condoms. Now, they DO get tested, which makes it even safer. Also, it raises awareness so they are more careful outside of the Broke Straight Boys set and DO use condoms.

Also, Broke Straight Boys has given them a CHOICE they've made as consenting ADULTS!!!

Don't you people get it? TEsting doesn't make ANY THING safe! TEsting only tells you if you are infected, or not.
If you are not, then great! But if you are, TESTING is not going to make it GO AWAY!

Absolutely Arckangel, but as I posted on another thread - or was it this one, the power of the dollar with young guys without a normal or job, or maybe a very low paid job, has obviously influenced their decision to go bb. Broke Straight Boys management have made a decision to go BB and this will have been for commercial reasons as they believe it will attract more members than safe sex. Therefore as they have gone down this path they have to coerce/entice their models with a wad of dollars to go bareback as I assume that the models would get more money barebacking than using a condom.

Broke Straight Boys don't in general comment on what they pay models however, in this case when BB is such a hot topic and is virtually on every thread, then I think it would be in everyone's benefit if they stated whether or not the models do get paid extra money for barebacking. Notwithstanding that, Broke Straight Boys have stated that they do not force the guys to go raw, so if we knew if there was a vast difference in money then we would then understand it was a money issue. If there is not much difference in pay between safe and unsafe then it's the model choice and ultimately the ball will be in their court.

As long as BB scenes are highly rated; as long as membership to this site dramatically increases, apparently because of BB; as long as models are paid more for doing BB scenes...........BB is here to stay.

No amount of words about our concerns of the "testing" Broke Straight Boys has adopted as gospel, will change the minds of most members, models or management. Tragically it will take loosing models or friends to HIV to open some eyes. I say "tragically", not only because some will probably become infected with this disease, but that we have already laid down too many lives of our loved ones to have not learned anything from it as to how to remain as safe as possible.

The history is there, and at a high cost of innocent lives. Condoms have been a part of that history, and have proven to me to be the safest form of protection. These "tests", as JLipps has alluded to, are just that, TESTS. They do not have history on their side, because they have NO history.....they are new. And they do nothing to "prevent" the disease, but only "detect" the disease, if indeed they do that much. We can't know for sure. We have already paid for the history of HIV in the loss of many thousands of lives. Please, let's learn from what we have already lost.

And one more thing, this "warning about safe sex" is about effective as our warnings here. It can be on the written story on the scene page, it can be on the film at the beginning of the scene, or it can be on the model's foreheads......people are not going to read it, just as some members will not read our posts here. What they WILL take from the scene is, if it's okay for the models to do it, it must be safe. This "warning about safe sex" is useless except for legal purposes. It will save very few lives.

I have no doubt that the management of Broke Straight Boys has what they believe to be the best interests of the models at heart. No sane person wants to intentionally jeopardize the life of another. But they also come from another generation and have apparently opted for what they probably sincerely believe to be a safe "test" for whatever reason. I sincerely wish that they would think a little more on this subject and the false impact they are going to have in the battle to combat this disease. You own a public site here that deals with sex and can legally run your business as you wish. But I would think that you, as fellow human beings, would embrace a responsibility to, not only demand the safest sex possible for our models, but also not give a false hope to your "visual" members that unprotected sex is now accepted. I may not be able to read or may not understand English.

The history is there. I just hope we have learned from it, but I'm seriously having doubts that we have.

I also hope that none of the models get infected, but if one does it is going to be hard to prove that it was from another model on the site as we don't know what goes on in their private lives.

Right, Jon. I actually had in mind that safe sex starts at home in their private lives and should be carried over into their professional lives. I did leave that part out.....my bad.

As long as all models get tested on a very regular basis, there is NO source of worry or concern. They should of course use condoms if having sex outside the movie set with an untested partner, male or female. Makes sense!

I'm just glad that you weren't a passenger on the TITANIC.

Blood banks in Canada and the United States won't allow homosexuals to donate blood, even if they are HIV-negative, get regularly tested and, in some cases, are in a monogamous relationship but...

Those same blood banks will allow heterosexuals to donate blood that might be transfused into other people's bodies and mixed with their blood even if such hetero donors have raw, UNprotected sex on a regular basis or very often with just about anybody!

Those blood banks say all the questions they ask and testing the blood is enough, so... We ain't worse than them! Models are properly tested and Broke Straight Boys is confident enough in those state of the art tests that cover much more than HIV alone.

If that information makes you feel comfortable enough to sit back and have a hot time jerking off watching raw cocks fucking and shooting cum into unprotected assholes, then so be it. My conscience bothers me too much to even get aroused watching those scenes.

You had better get used to it because according to Paul, all your favourites will probably end up doing it.

Yesterday I was looking at the BSB TV site and how slick it's going to be and some ideas on what they want to do. Then today I'm thinking look at all the controversy Broke Straight Boys has started with the BB stuff. Laws have been passed banning BB porn do you think BB gay sex is politically incorrect? Then I'm thinking are any of these BB models going to be in the Broke Straight Boys house? Mark said that the boys will be doing scenes in the house to earn money, will they be doing BB scenes? Will this TV show be sponsored by advertisers? I'm guessing most advertisers for a gay TV show or a gay network want to appeal to their audience. How appealing is the connection to BB sex? What sponsor wants to be associated with a TV show that is connected to a porn site that promotes BB sex?

Now I'm thinking about celebrity judges? When I think of celebrities who associate themselves with gay causes and the gay media I also think of celebrities who give their time to AIDS fund raising causes and furthering the education of safer sex practices. How many celebrities want to be associated with a BB porn site?

There's the long road, everything is going well the TV show is a go some celebrity judges are lined up the show gets smoe attention then the news story comes out that Broke Straight Boys promotes and is an advocate for BB sex, does the house of cards keep standing or does it crumble to the ground?

I am actually surprised that with so much on the table right now Broke Straight Boys has taken the chance to throw BB sex scenes into the mix with no worries of the consequences. I'm sure the business has a big investment in this whole operation and if it fails can the business survive?

How does that old poem go; "For the want of a nail the war was lost"

Hey... It's kinda funny... I was gonna recommend to those against barebacking they simply join another gay-for-pay website (very similar to Broke Straight Boys) David Adamson (formely of Broke Straight Boys) is now in charge of and guess what? They too now do bareback!!! lol

You can watch the trailer for free on their site (Jake & Ryan: Bareback - Added: 02/07/13). In it, David states it's a bareback scene but it's okay since they got tested. He then instructs them on how to open holes and the fun begins! The models are HOT, by the way...

See... Even David Adamson's gay-for-pay website is now into barebacking!!! David, during his Broke Straight Boys days, used to be pro-condom only. If Broke Straight Boys stops barebacking, you bet David's site will TOP Broke Straight Boys FAST!!!
