Ronan Kennedy update and question

I spoke with Ronan Kennedy last night and he is overwhelmed with the support he is getting and wants to be able to thank everyone. I am having our team set up his account on Broke Straight Boys today so he may be able to send a message when he is able to.

I'm so happy to hear that Ronan Kennedy is feeling the love and support he has in the world. He needs to know at a time like this that there are people out there in the world who truly care about him as an individual and fellow human being. (Even when it is coming from many people he will never personally meet here on Earth.) Anything you guys at the company can do to help him from your vantage point is so appreciated by all of us in here. And I absolutely mean that for all past and present Broke Straight Boys members who may never visit this forum, but hold Ronan Kennedy in such high regard.

I'd also point out that the forum reaches many more people than just those of us who post fairly often. There are tons of "Guests" who log in and catch up on Broke Straight Boys happenings, but choose not converse. Using the "Who's Online" feature, I've seen all week that this thread is getting a lot of activity from guests beyond just those posting to the thread. So many others out there are getting word about Ronan Kennedy right now and no doubt having the same emotional reactions all the rest of us posters are.

Thank you for setting Ronan Kennedy up with an account so that he communicate directly with members on the site when it's convenient for him. Not everyone out there in the membership is computer literate enough or a big enough fan of the broader online world to visit bunches of other sites just to get news of Ronan Kennedy's progress. An account in here goes a long way towards the convenience of those who don't want to have to seek Ronan Kennedy out on other social media platforms in order to express their concern and love.

Anything else you guys can do to help Ronan Kennedy, both in the short term and the long term, is very much appreciated by all of us.

I just remembered that while I was a resident of Florida, they had a victim's compensation fund which helped victims with medical costs incurred as a result of a crime, and even emotional therapy to help the victim cope with what they had gone through.

I thought Minnesota may have the same program and found that they do.

Would someone please get this link to Ronan Kennedy, perhaps through Twitter (my account is suspended), and maybe this program could be of help to Ronan Kennedy's situation.

I was informed by Tampa that the crime did not happen in Minnesota, so we looked up the correct link and Tampa forwarded it to Ronan Kennedy via a Twitter DM. I just hope and pray the agency gives Ronan Kennedy some peace of mind and take that mountain of medical bills from him.

I wish I could personally write Ronan Kennedy a 3, 4 or even 5 figure check. But I'm so thankful and grateful (for Ronan Kennedy's sake) to those can, and do.

Thanks, Sha. I read the description on the GoFundMe page and saw the news report. That was sufficient information to horrify me. It hurt me deeply that someone I know, albeit only from his interaction here, went through such an experience. My experience here has been that even though some of posting here can get a little snippy with each other or with 3rd parties, we are as a whole a group of people who respond positively to news like this and do wish to help Ronan Kennedy. I know a number of us have already donated what we could donate.

Excellant observation. I know that I donated some money myself but not $500.00 as some generous person did. I am not workign regularly right now and that much would be a little too much for me. But I also contacted people via my Facebook, simply telling people this was a young man I knew and who deserved some compassion in his life. I hope that some of them will be willing to donate a little money to Ronan Kennedy's fund.

Mark and Sha, thank you guys for being so responsive to your members and it’s really nice to see the Broke Straight Boys community coming together to help Ronan Kennedy. I’ve donated and plan to do more. I know from experience that people do get the gofundme money very easily. They deduct about 6% for expenses but they will transfer the money to his bank account any time he wants or even on a regular basis.

Thanks for the link Rep. I am always amazed by some of the anonymous idiots who post on internet stories. The scene pages on Broke Straight Boys used to be filled with similar types of comments. I appreciate this forum as we have to be verified members here. Ronan Kennedy is going through so much and I hope he doesn't read some of those comments.

And reading Ronan Kennedy's statement on his "go fund me" page reminds me of what an intelligent young man he is, as his one post on this forum was when he posted about the misconceptions when he accidentally injured Junior during their sex scene here. It made me realize that he was bright in additional to being so personalable as well as being so good looking. I really love Ronan Kennedy now more than ever before on so many levels.

I remember his response on the forum well. I gained a lot of respect for Ronan Kennedy when he called me out on my comments. I only hope he accepted my apology (though in my defense I have to say I was in no way as nasty as the comments on the linked article). Also, if you listen to his BTS before he was tending bar, he was an aide in a nursing home. That is incredibly taxing work and it takes a special, sympathetic person to do it. I have no idea if his family is providing emotional support for him, but I hope he has people around to offer him the support he really needs right now.

If a paycheck would help the kid,when he's physically able I would not to be turned off by a scar if he filmed a scene. From this tragedy prompting many of us to be honest about how much we've enjoyed his performances and public persona I'd bet it'd be one of the best rated, most watched updates ever...
