]I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't open-heart surgery of some sort[/COLOR]. It's not only the scar but the bumps on his sternum that look like where it may have been rejoined. I think is was brave of him to post this picture. Having worked in health care for 14 years, there are psychological issues as well as physical ones with this type of surgery and I wouldn't be surprised of those aren't magnified by his youth. These are the types of issues that older people are supposed to deal with. I would never discount anything Ronan Kennedy feels right now and hope that with time he will feel comfortable with himself again. This may or may not be the reason he says that he is retired from porn but whatever the reason, I'm glad to see that he's doing what he needs to do and wish him well. I wonder if he would be agreeable to receiving well wishes from the fans of Broke Straight Boys (not individually but through management) just to say we are glad he's doing well?

Management on this site knows how to contact Ronan Kennedy His posting doesn't say anything about his porn name, and what it does say doesn't ring true with anything he ever said about himself in his interviews on this site. And I think he had two dogs. Not one.

This picture looks old. Its nothing like he hairstyle that he said he needed as a bartender, to increase the amount of tips he got.

I wish that Management would contact him directly and see if this is really him and if the situation really happened to him...

The story doesn't sound authentic or real to me. It could very well be a hoax and we need to have some varification from him directly, since someone on this site knows who he is and how to contact him.

GFM does not charge a fee. There is a suggested 15% "tip" to help defer the costs of maintaining the site, but you are free to change that to 0. Also, that cost is added to your donation not deducted from it.

I looked up Dillon Callahan on Facebook and it definitely is Ronan Kennedy, though I didn't see this picture there. He certainly didn't have that scar when he was shooting for Broke Straight Boys so I don't know how old the picture is supposed to be. I really don't think Ronan Kennedy is running a scam, if that what some are implying.

Sadly it is all true. With all the sick shit we read about in the news, it really hits home when it happens to someone we "know", even someone that we know from here. It is heartbreaking and I pray for a full recovery for him, both physically and mentally.

People KNOW Ronan Kennedy Who he is. Where he is. Someone we KNOW to be REAL needs to have direct contact with him to determine whether this is real or not. I have a sense that it is totally NOT real and that the Ronan Kennedy we know has no idea about all this.

Otherwise a direct appeal to us would have been his most promising route.

If this kid had a boyfriend all the time he was a model on Broke Straight Boys, he damn sure kept that story quiet. I believe Ronan Kennedy to be a straight guy. This just doesn't make sense to me.

I wouldn't know how to do this, but the guy gave us his name. If this had happened, someone could google and find newspaper write-ups. I mean, anyone who can walk blocks for help with his aorta severed and both lungs collapsed, and be out of the hospital within 3 days, would definitely be in the news.

I'm pretty sure that Broke Straight Boys knows how to contact him directly and determine whether this is OUR Ronan Kennedy or just a photoshopped picture of him. If the management of Broke Straight Boys can determine that it was in fact true, then I'm all in. I'll support this kid all the way through to recovery.

But as it is, we need to verify the event before we move forward from here.

'who I am/was'-especially growing up raised in the Catholic church, COMBINED WITH the fact that my dad is a former Marine, and my paternal grandparents were 'lifers', in the Corps. Whether it be sexual, or behavioural, or even emotional issues a person is trying to deal with, in order to 'fit in' whether it be being gay, being obese, being ugly-THOSE in and of themselves do not define me. Meaning, if you are going to be so shallow as to make your ultimate decision about whom you wish to be in a relationship with-whether that be just talking to me/friendship, or relationship-WHATEVER TYPE THAT ENTAILS and depth, BASED ON LOOKS first, then do not waste your time with me, as I want someone of more intellect, and depth, someone who looks PAST the physical things-if that makes sense?

I having been praying so much for him as i just hope with all my heart that something happens for him to make his life easier as it seems like he is having to go through all of this all by himself & i am just so thankfull that he choose to live. I hope that the vile person that broke his heart in so many different ways gets punished for this as soon as posible. My love to him & all off you.

I sent Ronan Kennedy a message through his go fund me page telling him about this thread on Broke Straight Boys Forum. I don’t know if he still has access but maybe management will make sure he does. Anyway I told him lots of us are concerned about him and have posted well wishes. I suggested that he post updates on here about how he is doing. I don’t know if it will work but maybe it will.

In his post, he and his dog Zelda seem pretty much on thier own. I guess he like many young gay men does not have a loving family to help. But from everything I remember from his scenes and what Sha said about him in the past he seems like a really nice guy.

I didn't think my post was unclear, but if so let me clear it up:. In my opinion Ronan Kennedy is the best looking performer to appear on this site. He is one of my absolute favorites and I do not think he would ever be involved in any form of a scam. If he was injured, I want to help and will encourage others to do likewise. In no way do I think Ronan Kennedy is anything but an honorable young man but there are those in this world who are less honest and who are not above using someone else's photo.

I don’t believe this is a scam. If you follow him on his BSB Twitter page, he first posted the picture with a litterary quote. No explanation no asking for help. I posted on here because I wanted to know what happened. Then members found the gofundme and posted it. He came back on and said that he hoped we would be respectful to him because he used his real name. That’s not the kind of things a scam porn guy would do. He would be out there on his alias with bull shit. That’s not a fake picture and not a fake story.

GoFundMe accounts can be life savers. Last year a friend was traveling with one of my dogs. She was involved in a bad roll over car accident on Black Ice Christmas Day. My dog was in a wire crate that was actually secured to the car but my dogs back was broken from the force of the accident. My friend and her small child were ok, they were strapped in but the car was totaled. Anyway my dog went to a couple of different emergency cares and was waiting on surgery when she died 4 days later. Her bills were 7500 and insurance didn’t pay a thing. I was out that money but our dog friends started a gofundme and Money was raised to pay the vet bills and help with the car and human medical bills. I was ever so greatful.

I do think it would be wonderful for Sha or Mark to reach out to Ronan Kennedy and give us a report. I tried to send him messages and tweeted that his Broke Straight Boys family had all sorts of well wishes on the forum. I’m sure many of us would feel comfortable doing more if we can but it would be nice to hear from management about this. Ronan Kennedy was really great here and seemed like such a nice guy. Maybe he will come back one day if just for a behind the scenes chat. I’m sure everyone would welcome him.

My heart is broken for this sweet young man. I have no doubts that his picture on Twitter is the real thing, and have already given to help relieve his financial burden...I'll help more when my checks arrive next month.

I doubt that Ronan Kennedy is going through this alone. He is a bartender and probably has a huge bar family to help him get through this. Knowing Ronan Kennedy as I do, probably everyone in the club loves him as much as we do.

I'm thankful that Ronan Kennedy appears to be healing and I'm thankful to God that I am able to help out a brother. Godspeed, sweet man.

Sorry Andy, but the stories the models give us here and on other sites are just their personas. There may be things that are based on real events (things such as past drug abuse or difficult family issues) but the rest is pretty much a story. I'm not saying that none of the models are straight because I'm sure some are, but I won't automatically write this thing off as a fraud because Ronan Kennedy never mentioned he had a boyfriend. I guess that's why I'm always astounded by those here who seemed convinced that they only hire straight guys. That's just no going to happen.
