No, unfortunately. November is the latest in the year we have been up there and it was too cloudy/snowing to see them where we were in Anchorage. I have been to Barrow though, the northern most peak in Alaska. It was fun; we had a snwoball fight on the frozen Arctic Ocean and watched the summer solstice (June 21st). It was so weird to watch the sun move horizontally for 24 hours. The kids were all running around in shorts and flip-flops. I also tried "muktuk," whale...it was pretty good.

That's not uncommon for earthquakes to come in pairs like that, you have two different types of waves that are born from the epicenter of the earthquakes. You have P waves and S waves!
P waves are your Primary waves, always hit first, they move like waves back and forth on the horizon line.
S wavesvare where the damage come from, moving a bit slower through rock than the P waves, s waves are like ocean waves! Moving up and down, causing all the damage!
Aftershocks, these are most common After the initial S wave, just the ground adjusting to it's new location still real easing some built pressure, but usually the damage is done by the second wave.
