Real Sports - Athletes and Teams that we follow and admire.

The NFL Playoffs begin next weekend and my New York Giants, as well as Jay, (and Chris Star’s) Jacksonville Jaguars and Peter’s Seattle Seahawks are all in this year. Stowe’s Pittsburgh Steelers are not. Are there any other NFL fans on the forum whose teams are in the playoffs?

Let the games begin!

No question that Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady are HOT, but I want to give some love to my New York Giants QB, Daniel Jones.
He may not be as hot as the others, but to quote my buddy Buckeye1, “I’d do him”.

And aside from looks, much like his predecessors, Phil Simms and Eli Manning, they both had many detractors during their early years as QB of The Giants, but both took the Giants to the promised land, in fact Manning lead them to two Super Bowl victories. So I’m showing some love to Daniel Jones. GO GIANTS!

I was psyched when my Giants made the playoffs and then upset the Vikings. But this past weekend, they were humiliated by the Eagles who will play next week at San Francisco. The AFC Championship game will feature the two hottest quarterbacks, both talent wise and looks wise in my opinion, Joe Burrows & Patrick Mahones.

Maybe David could get them to do a scene in his Florida studio. I think they’d both get the $1200 for AN EXCELLENT SCENE!!!

Chris and I were bummed about the Jaguars loss. The fact that they were the worst team in the NFL the last two years and went to the playoffs this year is a sign of good things to come. They get Calvin Ridley in the fall so things look very promising.

I was out yesterday afternoon and missed the Eagles & San Francisco game and apparently I didn’t miss much except for another convincing demolishing of a team by Philadelphia again, much as they destroyed the Giants last week.

Buit I saw the second half of the Kansas City-Cincinnati game and that was a thriller. Patrick Mahomes was playing basically on one leg and he lead the Chiefs on the winning drive leading to the field goal in the closing seconds to victory. The Eagles will be expected to win the Super Bowl in two weeks but no one can count out Kansas City.

Just a word on Duke. They’ve been very inconsistent with Freshmen and a new coach and injuries. But they may be putting it together for a late run in the ACC. And I must admit I have a big time crush on Freshmen sensation,
7' 0", 230 lbs. 19 year old from Westtown, NY, Kyle Filipowski. He’s having a great Freshmen year and I find him hotter each game I watch.

I agree! He is both tall and hot!

Being a big Duke fan, living in New York City, there is not much attention paid to my team but last night was a thrilling home win for Duke with great performances by Jeremy Roach, Tyrese Proctor and a huge three by Kyle Filaposki.
Here are three Freshmen, Tyrese Proctor, a shot of my boy, Jaden Schuut and the great Kyle Filaposki, all from last nights thrilling victory.

The GOAT, (greatest of all time) has decided to officially retire. Thank you Tom for your greatness in my lifetime, (even though you lost two Super Bowls to the Giants). lol

Great win for our Dukies!

Great win for our Dukies!

It was an exhilarating game, while pitting two unranked teams nationally, it meant a lot to the fans in the North Carolina Triangle and to the nationwide fan bases of Duke and Tar Heel nation.

Freshmen Dereck Lively had a monster game rebounding and particularly defensively with eight blocked shots. One month to go in the regular season and then the conference tournament and the NCAA Tournament. Saturdays big win was a confidence booster to the team and to Duke fans everywhere!
