Now that would be justice! And by way, Trump's lack of any remourse and these ten findings of him being in contempt of court are all sentencing considerations for July 11th. By his conduct, he is really asking for incarceration!
Isn't sentencing usually stayed while the appeals play out?
I'm reading that more republicans have signed on to not move forward with any appointments of judgeships or bills in Congress especially in battleground states. I agree with @mikeyank , this country has never been so divided in recent years. All because of one orange moron. Don't they realize that the survival of the country and democracy is at stake here? That a few extreme hardcore right wingers shouldn't be kowtowed to (also the far left as they have some issues as well)?
When did we forget to play nice in the sandbox and to have a respectful discussion over a nice meal and get shit done?

Actually just the opposite: in New York one cannot appeal until there is a final judgment, which means one has to wait until after the sentencing to appeal as the sentencing is needed to have a final judgment to appeal.
I tried to watch a bit of the debate when it first started, I'm just so exhausted I gave up I don't have the mental fortitude to deal with the orange asshole right now.
I am recording it on the DVR so I'll probably watch over the next day or two.
Oh, fun trivia I just looked up as I was curious... Last president that was neither Republican or Democrat was Andrew Johnson in 1865 for the National Union party.

Actually the National Union Party in the Election of 1864 was the Republican Party running Lincoln for reelection renamed for that election only in the only presidential election held during the Civil War. Lincoln did chose as his running mate Democrat Andrew Johnson, the unionist former Senator and Military Governor of Tennessee. After Lincoln's assassination, that resulted in a Republican Congress battling a Democratic President, all of whom had been elected on the same Union Party ticket in 1864.

It's just so sad to see him falter like that in an unscripted situation. I would be very surprised if the Democrats vote at the conference for him as the nominee for President. He's definitely done some good in his career but maybe it's time for President Biden to let the younger generations have a go at it and to retire with grace.
I am seeing that some early polls say that vice president Harris has a two-point lead over Trump if she were leading the ticket. But these polls at this stage are wildly inaccurate and don't have a big enough sample size in my opinion. Time will definitely tell where we're headed but if a republican gets voted in I'm starting to truly fear what our democracy will look like come January 2025.

Even though we all have political differences, we're supposed to be adults and use words and discuss things. Unfortunately it looks like someone tried to shoot the presumptive Republican nominee. I just can't believe that we are devolving as a nation to hurting another person because we think differently.

They picked an idiot for their nominee and don’t do shit about gun control. This is another shock to me in this age of shock after shock. I’ve lived through divisive times in U.S. history like Vietnam Nam and Watergate but this era of Trump and Trumpism brings things to a whole new level. These are far and away the craziest times in my lifetime and I fear that things will keep getting crazier and more and more dangerous!

Biden stepping down was investable. It was just a matter of when. Now Trump’s racism and sexism will be on full display. I think Kamala has a better chance of winning than Biden would have.

Judging by the $50 million raised since yesterday, there is now momentum in the Democratic Party. People spoke through their purse. Looks like there are some good choices for VP if Harris can complete the nomination.
81 million now in 24 hours.. I just started my weekly donation to the campaign. I wonder if they will setup another debate? The big orange turd will have his butt handed to him and his comb over used to wipe the ground
oh one can dream I never used to be this political, but circumstances now dictate that I have to do something, even if it is only financially supporting them.
As Mikey said, it was inevitable. Biden's performances in the last few news conferences and the debate were absolutely subpar. I know some people just vote the party but it was hard to stand behind someone that can't even remember his own vice president's name or that of Zelensky and calling him president Putin
