Whelp they booted that narcissistic lying POS George Santos from the US House of Representatives, just about everything was a lie that slipped from his mouth. About time that they did something with the congresspeople that are corrupt. There is still that one senator that was in I think it was Egypts pocket that needs to be delt with.
We really need to get these fuckers out of office. I can deal with people with differing opinions, that's life. Sadly it has always been this bad. Some times it is hidden under platitude of nicce words but the hate , envy and discrimination has always been there. Having been a student in the 60's trust me it was no different.

Indeed Chac. It was a much better time. There was a sense of community within the younger generation back then. There were always outliers but largely my generation stuck together and helped end the Vietnam War, plus forced social changes . Scary thing is Republicans want him, I know die hard people and even with all the charges against him, all the proof of his mistreatment of classified docs, they are still going to vote for him. How shitty is the Republican party now that THIS guy is their candidate??? I weep for this country if he is actually elected. He may be running Presidents office from the NY state jail if the jury convicts him (he can't pardon himself in state crimes I believe)
Also, the judge overseeing his case for the docs in Florida is purposely delaying it. Didn't see that coming at all
, most likely MAGA or at best a very incompetent jurist that should be removed from the bench.It's a good first step! though I doubt with appeals it will be resolved by election time. I would like to have been a fly in that jurors room LOL

I’ve been around a long time, with my memories going back to JFK. And over the past sixty years, I never remember this kind of divide in America as we have now. I was surprised by the unanimous guilty verdict today, but I doubt if it will have much impact on the November election. However it is believed that the election will be decided by a small percentage of undecided voters in perhaps three battleground states, so maybe this will affect them? Hard to say in these unprecedented times in this country.
