How we feelin‘ today?

Like not a fuckin' thing will happen. Unfortunately it won't change a goddamn thing on how broken this country is, it will just divide us even more He still has to be tried, and if he is convicted, he will certainly file appeals and then more appeals, in the end I'd bet that most likely he will get a slap on the wrist, pay a fine and be done with it.

We shall have to wait & see. As to the country being more broken, what of the Civil war and the reconstruction period, the Red Scare the divide to go to war in both World Wars and on and on. Sadly this is our norm.

1974 was such a long time ago and I thought I was witnessing what would be the strangest twist in a presidency in my lifetime, but I was wrong. Now 49 years later, I am witnessing an even stranger turn of events, the results of which we need to stay tuned to find out how it all plays out. Very strange indeed…… This was how things played out in 1974.

You can't compare the two because Nixon & Agnew were in office when they resigned. Trump isn't.

Today is the day that Donald Trump will be arraigned at the Manhattan Criminal Court. As I mentioned yesterday, I will always remember Nixon and his disgraceful resignation almost 50 years ago. I regret that I may not live to see how history looks back at this Trump era in American politics the way I have absorbed the historical perspective on Nixon. However it turns out, I am living through another incredible period in our history. It will certainly be interesting to see how this case, the Georgia case and the two federal cases against Trump all conclude.

I am interested in the results as well. I really don’t know much about any of the lawsuits simply because that’s what the legal system is there for.

With the payment to the escort lady I think they are taking their sweet time with something that doesn’t seem like it should be all that hard to prove.

Its impossible for me to imagine this isn’t political to some extent, but I trust the system enough to negate any political motivation in the end. There’s no winning in my eye with something like this, no matter the result no one’s opinion will change and will only drive the 2 sides further apart.

Trump didn’t make his base, they were already there and he just gave them someone to follow… take out trump and who knows what will replace him, there’s no way to guarantee it’s not even worse.

My state is so blue it doesn’t matter how I vote in the presidential. I voted red for governor last election because we need something new. I don’t feel like either side can effectively take care of the people without a little contention.

Sounds good, but honestly learning about trump isn’t worth my time lol, there is everything else I’d rather be spending my time doing. Being arraigned is only the 1st step in what will likely become a very long process. I’d be surprised if there’s a ruling by the time we vote.

I certainly can't blame you. As bad as this may sound there are certain people like Putin & Trump that the world would be much better off if they were dead. While wishing ill of someone is wrong but there are always exceptions and these two merit it,

Couldn't agree more. He was one of the reasons why Fox had to write a very very large check to Dominion.

When you spread news that has been fact checked to be blatantly wrong, there should be major consequences.

Oh, here is a YouTuber that I watch frequently, he is a lawyer and analyzes a lot of the stuff going down in the legal and political worlds. Always worth the watch IMHO (disclaimer I have not finished watching this video yet!)
