I can't recall many posts by forumites who want to "eliminate" any type of model. I personally have my own personal preferences, but I understand that we all have our own taste, and there is no right or wrong as to who's "hot" or who's not. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Broke Straight Boys updates three times a week, so there should be someone to please all of our tastes, if we wait for a bit. As long as the models fit in with the motif of Broke Straight Boys, as David and Mark created it to be, then bring on the sherbets and the pistachios as well. I can wait a few extra days for my flavor, when necessary.

I find it hard to believe that you basically "chewed out" your members for having the balls to ask where is the content I/ we have been paying for? THAT, my friend, takes HUGE BALLS on your part! We are the paying customers and have every right to expect what we are paying for!!!
On the positive side. I have seen this site improve greatly in the time I've had a membership. That being said, I understand you have to make changes to keep up with technology. The bottom line is...........you need to choose your words more carefully when addressing the membership. I can spend my porn dollars here, or elsewhere. I don't appreciate feeling as though I'm being chewed out by the recipient of my hard earned money. If I mistook the tone of your message, I guess that's a my bad, but I'm pretty sure the way I read it was the way it was intended.
I'm looking forward to the improvements, and hot new, and the return of favorite models. In a nut shell (no pun intended) I'm not going to cancel my membership just yet. For the most part you guys do a great job. Let's get on wiht the improvements and leave the drama behind. Perhaps an apology to your members is in order???????

I agree Balboa. It's great to see that management here does listen to us. They may not always change things exactly as we request, but they do listen and often comment on our complaints, and on occasion do make changes based on what many of us ask for. Thank you Broke Straight Boys

However I do wish that David would be a bit more diplomatic to replying to complaints. My feeling is that unless a member gets rude or abusive, they deserve to be treated with respect, even if they criticize the site, as I assume having a free and uncensored forum is for us to express our honest feelings. The forum gives us a place where we can compliment, criticize or even express our outrage, when we feel that too, over a scene, or model. But a large part of David's charm is his "klutziness", as Slim has coined the phrase. And if David is not always as gracious to critics as I would think the head of a major Internet studio's production team might be, it is still all good. Overall, I love the concept of Broke Straight Boys, and the type of models who appear in the majority of scenes. This is still, and probably will remain the only pay site that I belong to online. This is an honest company that produces top of the line material. Thank you and Bravo to David and Mark, and of course to Tyler, (the cutest member of the management team).

They openly welcome our comments on the films they produce and I myself have left negative reviews for a few films that I have not personally enjoyed but I have also left positive comments for those that I did. With the variety of material available on the site and considering how often it is updated I cant understand how some people can see to trash the entire site and its management so badly. For those that seem to have a constant bitch let me say. We HEAR YOU, you don't have to keep repeating yourself, we believe your unhappy with the site. So now will you please trust that we understand and at least for a while keep your comments to your self so the rest of us don't have to keep weeding through the same old complaints in the same way you think your seeing the same models.

We have already seen some features be removed from the forum because of some people disrespecting them. I sincerely wonder just how long it will be before the forum disappears completely because of the constant bickering and bashing of the site? Imagine a new comer just logging in for the first time and reading all the BS that has been popping up lately. Do you really think they are going to stick around and keep their membership just so they can read this garbage? Trust me boys and girls if the bickering keeps up we will loose the forum just so it don't hurt future business for the site.

So now let me offer a solution to those that think they need more material to look at. If you are not a member of BCB I believe Mark is still offering the reduced membership fee. So for 10 bucks or what ever it was you can easily go to that site and enjoy a whole new crop of boys that you have not seen before including a very hot scene that was just updated which contains kissing, rimming, sucking, fucking, and even cum eating. So put your money where your mouth is and go enjoy yourself for a few weeks until the new site comes on line. There is even a whole new forum there that you can trash. In the mean time would you please allow the rest of us to have some peace and enjoy the site the way we want to. If the new site does not meet your expectations you will have plenty of time then to continue your bitching.

Denny, I respectfully totally disagree with your post. While I am not one of the posters who has been complaining about the quality of the latest scenes, I can understand where they are coming from, as perhaps they are not even aware that the site is in a transitional stage right now, and that better days are right around the corner.

I love this site and am anxiously waiting for March 31, to see the beginnings of the improved site, so please understand I am not one of the complainers. But I see nothing wrong with their voicing their displeasure. And as far as people repeating their complaints, I haven't gone back to analyze how many complaints particular members have made, but I believe it is a cross section of members who may not have been reading all of David's posts about what is upcoming on the site very soon. Perhaps they are not enjoying the updates that are currently being shown, and they are angry and know that there is a forum available to express their opinions, and so they come here to say that the latest episodes suck and they are thinking of canceling their membership. I don't see that as an offensive thing to say. If at any point management will not permit any comments or criticisms that are negative to management, they will either censor the forum or eliminate it. But that is their decision.

I enjoy a diversity of opinion here, as long as people do not become abusive or threatening in any way to anyone. But I find that the forum is at it's best, when folks have differing opinions, be it on politics, or the sexuality of the models, or the quality of the product that we are all paying to see. Perhaps I'm delusional, but I don't see a problem with negative posters. To me it is a non-issue, unless management sees things differently. But so far they have been very cool about letting us speak our minds, as long as we are civil. So I believe we should just "chill out" and let the ebb and the flow of the forum happen.

David you have gone on a tirade of late, scolding and damning us for expressing ourselves, or perhaps the manner in which we do it. My biggest problem is the continued repetition that members are being rude and threatening to management. Please elaborate, educate me. Are you construing a members statement that they may cancel their membership as a threat? To me, a threat is something that has the potential to cause bodily harm or property damage If I don't do.....
Has that been the case? And if so did I miss that post?
What comment(s) to management is/are so rude that it would cause you to get your panties all up in a bunch! (was that one?)
When all is said and done, why do you even care? We may bitch and moan and complain, but you're still the one that will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Sometimes I think you like to make these posts and play the "victim", because all the usual suspects will rush to your side and tell you how great you are and what a good job you are doing and how much they love the site and the models and the concept etc..
Well I love the site, and I love the models, and I love the job that you do, and I have been telling you that the 17th of every month for the past couple of years, as do many, many other members. So quit taking things so personal, and let us blow off a little steam when we need to. We may be a bunch of Fags and Fag Hags,(was that out of line?) but were also mature adults and we don't have a need for a censor or a babysitter. We can work things out for ourselves without bloodshed.
Why waste your time and raise your stress level worrying about something that will never change.
Put your energy to what you do best, filming some great porn! And every once in a while, you can peek in and say "Don't make me come in there" if things get too loud, or too quiet. - Jason

If the 'arrogant' patrons dont care for this new process, then they CAN leave, and/or, I do find it appreciative, (sadly) that you would exercise your authority, and block them from the site permanently. Now, having said that, (ha ha), I hope the upcoming scenes are as good as I AM anticipating them to be!

In the past recent weeks, many members have voiced there opinions regarding our changes and when they are going to happen and the recent "boring" scenes that have been updated.

First, I want to thank all the members that are not impatient and understand what we are doing here on this site and the reason for this thread.

When we film scenes for Broke Straight Boys, we just don't film one or two scenes. In a given week we film at least 6-7 episodes. Our production schedule is mixed with an electric group of models which some may find boring and ugly while some may find hot and very cute. When you do the math and we film at least 6 episode a week and we film 3 weeks of Broke Straight Boys in a month, we end up with an average of 18 reels of Broke Straight Boys content that needs to be edited, cleaned up and all the photos need to be ready and set up to upload to the site. This takes a lot of time and we film a lot so the reels pile up fast. Since we update the Broke Straight Boys site 3X in a week, the reels also go fast so that is why we have to keep up with supply and demand and keep ahead of ourselves. Because we have a lot of reels in the can, we had a lot of reels that were filmed in non-HD and those are the reels that Mark took out of order.

Now, like some members have mention, this issue is like beating a dead horse into the ground...we know the reels have been out of order, we realize it, we are making the corrections. We get it!!! For whatever reasons why the reels are out of order...I'm not going to explain why...read the other threads and do some research on this forum and you will get your explanation to why they are out of order.

When we moved into our new office and studio space, Mark and I were debating to film future Broke Straight Boys scenes in HD. Personally, I like the digital filming and none of our members ever complained about our quality of filming. I think our quality is pretty good and if you choose the higher streaming, the picture quality is excellent. However, technology is changing and as a business and consumer we are ALL being forced to change into HD. Mark and I decided it was time to switch Broke Straight Boys and film in HD as our first HD site. I have to admit and tell everyone the picture quality is very good. Now, the first 30 reels is a bit off color balance (which you may not see anyways) but we see it as we are in production and we see certain things wrong that you may not see. We all had to learn to use HD because its a lot different and we had to learn a new system.

Now with this being said, as we decided to change into HD, I also made some other changes...we are going to start filming in HD with hotter models, hotter action and we are going to use a lot of different models. You will see some of the same ole models in HD but you will also be seeing a lot of new faces that you haven't been introduced to yet. I have matched some of the new models with some of the repeat models. Some models will be paired up together that are totally brand new to the site. But this had been filmed in HD. The content you have been seeing now is the old footage that has been filmed in digital format that Mark is placing up on the site. jwglass, made a great analogy on another thread about these "so-so, boring episodes".

Now, let me address models. Many of the forumites have this belief that some of these models are professional porn stars...heck some even think they are all gay. I said this a long time ago, I'm not going to debate and argue about the sexuality of our models that appear on this site. If you want to know my personal view on our models...again do some research on this site and you can find the answers to this question. Again, this issue is like beating a dead horse to the ground. YOU as members can believe what you want to believe about our models. If you think they are all gay...thats fine by me, if you want to believe they are straight...that is fine by me...I'm not going to argue anymore. However, I'm going to defend myself and management when members request to see certain models. We have thousands of members and only a very small percentage of members are actually active on this forum. For management, this is our only way to monitor what our members think. We also get a lot of emails from members that never post on this site and you never hear from so we have to respect them as well and listen to there needs. The one thing all our members have in common is that they want to see certain models over and over again. Overwhelmingly 75% of the emails we get is requesting to see certain models once again, over again. As a good business practice and to satisfy our members, we bring back those models. Its YOU the members that decided which models are the most popular. I can give a rats ass which models or popular or not, this issue doesn't effect me at all...I just hire models that I think can film and fit the role as a Broke Straight Boys and film them...YOU make them popular and by your requests, we bring them back. As management we bring them back and we film them. As often as we bring them back, there is certain sexual activities these boys are going to do. It brings us back to the issue if these boys are straight or not. Now, I'm going to go out on a fact here...these models are not pros, they are not gay for the most part and they are not going to do 100% gay sex. If you want a model back again, over and over again...don't expect them to start doing then following:

Kissing
Rimming
Tops becoming Bottoms
Bottoms becoming Tops
Swallowing Cum
Bareback Sex

and any other type of sexual activity that a normal gay guy would do. Your not going to see this on Broke Straight Boys site. This is the reason why Mark developed a site called brokecollegeboys.com this site is geared for those boys that are willing to have gay sex...and explore...why? because those boys on that site are mostly GAY!!! or BISEXUAL and or willing to explore more. Our boys are not that willing to dive into hardcore gay sex. So if you request a model over & over again...they will do the same sex act over and over again but with different partners. This is what we have to deal with because our boys are straighter then your average porn boy doing porn.

The irony of all this is when we do bring back models due to members request, we get bashed, threaten that members are going to cancel there memberships, we get nasty rude comments and nasty rude posts on this forums then arguments pursue and all hell breaks loose and then I have too stop what I'm doing out of my busy day to make a long ass thread/post explaining why and what. Then management has to listen to bitching from our members regarding boring scenes and repeat models, just because we listen to YOU the members and satisfied YOUR requests by having return models come back over and over again. Don't bitch at us...bitch at your fellow members...bitch at the wall...and if you don't like what you see, then cancel your membership...don't threaten us...do it..cancel your membership and we will see you back here in a few months, sign up again...do the trial run for 3 days and if you see what you like...then welcome back...we will never deny any member there right to cancel or come back...again..this is the type of business we are in. Members come, members go...just like models.

For the changes. I'm not going to give you specific dates and time frames but within this year, the changes will be noticed...such as better looking models, some surprises from our models that have appeared on the site several times that I make them push the envelope a bit more and we get more action out of them. A lot of new faces or fresh meat...LOL. A nicer updated set, some scenes outside of the studio....the episodes will be in order so this will be less confusing for everyone including management. Some of your favorite models you will not see anymore or not on Broke Straight Boys Some of the old time favorite models may reappear in a few Broke Straight Boys episodes. These are the changes that will effect you as members. Now, please don't threaten us to see the episodes out of order or ahead of its time. If you can't wait and be patient and you have the need to threaten us by canceling your membership...then again..cancel your membership and come back and visit us again in a few months. But don't well and scream and be rude to us because we are placing the scenes in order. Don't request the new models to see them over and over again and then bitch at management

If you can't control yourselves, and YOU have issue's and you want to be rude...seek outside help..don't take it out on management as we keep improving and listening to our members. On March 31, 2010 HD and the new changes will be going into effect. I will be turning a new leaf over...if your going to be rude to management...I will PM you personally and we can chat about your issue's and hopefully we can resolve it by chat or by phone.

Sorry for the long thread...but hopefully this can clear up some issues we have been having with certain members.

Overall, we love our members, you guys are great! and we do appreciate your support and for those silent members that may read the post, but don't post...lets hear from you!!!

It's very simple. The answer is: there were dozens and dozens of members who felt that those few devisive members were being allowed to drive away, tear down, push, shove, scream, yell, be rude, and, as they are still doing, talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and say the same things over and over and over and over until the rest of the forum was going stark raving mad. If management had not made the blanket statement and had, instead, sent each of you four, five, or six a private PM, the rest of us would not have known the problem had been solved. Well, yeah, but they're not being divisive for divisive's sake. I remember at university on any Spring keg night out on the deck, that it would be the really amazing dancers who would start off, and sometimes attract a little crowd for a minute while they made their best moves. Especially if they were dating the prettiest Tri Delt from next door.

The boys you mention write awfully well, and are redolent with common sense and a fair degree of profundity in their thought. They're out there because they express themselves with a certain precision. To my mind they are really only divisive when someone like me takes unusual exception to the way they say something, or their right to say it, in which case they become divisive back. Since they aren't, properly speaking, boring they probably take exception to being called boring as well, which is sort of divisive on their part if you like.

The sniping seems to be going on between and among the guys who can turn a phrase. Some of you more than others use rhetorical devices, repetition within a sentence is one of them, to nail the member of the opposite team, and that makes you great to read. I love it when you guys go at it, it's cool when you tear your hair and lament how a little coterie of skinhead hooligans is ruining society. On the other hand I dread to think how benign this tea dance would be if we didn't have some roughage going through our system from time to time.
