New TV shows are starting, whats your favorite?

Boy, I watch way too much TV, but attempting to come up with some favorites is a little difficult....I guess the first on my list has to be '24'. Since the first hour of day 1, I was hooked! For comedy, I'd have to go with 'The Graham Norton Show'. It's on BBA (BBC America) and is great. I know on another post, I had some clips from You Tube. Maybe when I have some time, I'll post them here. For Sci Fi, I like 'Dr Who' and 'Torchwood' and just started watching Stargate Universe. I don't have Showtime, however, rented the fist season and purchased season two and three of Dexter - I wish the series was longer!!!! For politics, Glenn Beck on Fox is my favorite. I guess that would leave 'The Mentalist' and 'The Closer' for some mystery.

The guy is doable but way too young. When they're that young you have to teach them too much to enjoy yourself. That's why I never got the appeal of someone being rewarded all those virgins in paradise. That's a dozen or a hundred or however many you need to educate...

So, what did everyone think of last night's opening episode of V? I watched about the first 15-20 minutes of it and it sounds like it is science fiction, which I am not really into.
I have to admit that I am not a t.v. watcher. Never really have been the past several years. I am more into the evening news and 11:00pm news. I do miss some of the old t.v shows that we used to watch back in the 60's, 70's and 80's.

If I remember correctly, AMC (American Movie Classics), on 11/15 is a remake of the '60's television show, 'The Prisoner'. Susie and I purchased the first season about 10 years ago at a used book/DVD/Video store. It definately caught my attention. Ian McKellen (Magneto from the X-Men) is the 'leader' of the 'village'. Saw some extended previews a few nights ago and looks like a great sci fi and psychological mix.

V is really, really bad. The original might have suffered from poor special effects and some cheesy acting but at least it didn't bore me this much. I'll give it a few more weeks but I can't remember sticking around for the cancellation when I've seen other premier episodes that weren't half this bad...

I caught up (mostly) with On Demand. I just missed the first hour and I gotta say, I'm not impressed. The acting is first rate but the story is deathly dull. Ooh, we're out of air. Ooh, we're out of power. Ooh, we're out of water.What will they run out of next? Patience, if they're anything like me...
