The story goes that the band 10cc gave themselves the name to imply they were a a little bit better than the average male. It's a great story, but it's also an urban myth. Jonathan King the guy who signed up the band to UK Records literally dreamed about a successful musical group named 10cc the night after the as yet unnamed band signed the contract, the next day he suggested they call themselves 10cc and the rest is musical history.

I never knew that, but still a bit tho ha.

When it comes to rock music there is no band like Led Zeppelin. They are of course remembered for classics like Stairway to Heaven, but this song - Going to California, which is from the same album, is beautiful.

This song isn't actually a favourite but the artist Gretchen Peters is someone I came across by accident - the College Dudes was in my mums music cabinet. Anyway I searched Youtube and found this clip. BTW GP is massive over here in the UK and until a few days I hadn't even heard of her.
